Enjoyed having my porridge breakfast regularly. However, disappointed that they took advantage of the situation and increased their prices across the board. I used to add egg in my porridge, now it is $0.80 for each small hardboiled egg. HDB, the landlord, did not raise the rent. But, they increased prices to "thank" all the regular customers. Shall find alternative to show that we mind their greediness.

The wooden stick they use for the fried item, i think they reuse it for the next day frying. Because whenever i buy they always take it off from the fish balls. Until i realized it today that they put it on a container which has so many sticks on it. If this is true that they reuse it, so unhygienic. Perhaps need to relook at their hygiene grade.

Ok, their attitude is not the best. But overlooking it, the white beehoon is quite flavorful and moist. IMHO.

Very rude Malay cashier. Today morning in TPY Kakak Cafe around 9.30am i bought a plate of beehoon which the cashier charged me $3. I didn't know she is Malay as she is wearing a mask and spec with her hair dyed, so I told her in mandrain to give more chilli but she just ignore me and never reply me anything and pass me the dish without giving me more chilli. When I realised she is Malay I told her in English "more chilli" then she take back the plate n put more chilli. If you don't understand what I m talking about don't you think you should open your mouth and ask me to repeat my sentence again? This is basic manner even if you are not a cashier. She did not pass me any chopstick so I am puzzled how to eat without fork or spoon or chopstick, usually the cashier will pass me the chopstick with the dish together, when she saw me looking for chopstick she responded by tapping on the chopstick at the side of the counter and replied with an unhappy voice "Here Here Here". What kind of attitute is this? You did not pass me any chopstick and you want to show me attitute, should I be the one who was unhappy when you did not pass me the chopstick? Is it very difficult to just give me a chopstick when you pass me the dish? Lastly, I bought exactly the same beehoon added the same dishes last week and was charged $2.80. Now just 1 week later it is $3. Why the difference in price? I always bought things from this store but with such kind of attitute and the price discrepancies I don't think I will visit this store anymore. Anyway your food are average and not fantastic. Why should I give you all business and earn my money when you give me bad attitute?

Food taste good and value for money. Chicken Rice and Laksa are recommended. SGD2.8 Chicken Rice with acceptable portion of rice and little portion of chicken which is still ok.

We have been patronising this stall selling chicken rice for many years in interchange. Taste good and reasonably priced For now the amount of chicken pieces and an egg at $4. Too little for this price!

Chicken rice lady always has a very friendly smile. Price is also quite cheap only 2.80. portion of chicken can be more but given the price it's understandable :)

The staff are quite friendly, their chicken rice is nice cheap and good for a quick breakfast The fried can be a bit expensive but overall taste good What you expect from a simple food place for people going to work to buy

Can't use 5 cen in Singapore? It only took two 5 cents to raise money to get 10 cen...the clerk actually said there are no 5 cen items...Hello...has anyone done this? Is there any way to complain to the government department? I didn't go too far. I only used my only two pcs 5 cens and a to raise thedepartme!

I purchased a single pack of beehoon at precisely 1:23 PM on October 13, 2023. Two staff members were present during my visit – one stationed at the cashier's desk, and the other engaged in food preparation. Regrettably, the staff member responsible for food preparation exhibited a discourteous demeanor. She displayed a complete disregard for customer input, demonstrated impatience, and resorted to harsh words, as if treating customers as her personal attendants. It is indeed perplexing why this establishment would employ individuals with such unfavorable attitudes.

Bought a iced coffee from them and realised a dead baby cockroach inside. Totally unacceptable!

Dear [Cafe Management/Owner], I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent experiences I have had at Kakak Cafe during the morning shifts. Despite being a regular customer, the level of customer service has been consistently poor. On multiple occasions, I have encountered rudeness from the staff, including the cleaner, except for a Chinese aunty who prepares the mee soto, providing a commendable service. Unfortunately, interactions with other staff members, especially a Chinese lady with short hair and plum, have been characterized by rudeness and even racism towards an Indian helper who was present. This is not an isolated incident, and I find it disheartening that such behavior persists. As a resident of TPY, I have been a daily customer, but the recent decline in customer service is alarming. Politeness seems to be met with tantrums, raised voices, and eye-rolling, creating a highly unpleasant atmosphere for patrons. I believe it is crucial to address these issues promptly to maintain the reputation and goodwill of Kakak Cafe. I urge you to take appropriate actions to rectify this situation and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

2024 gst increased to 9% u increased your selling price but u cut off your portion. I have been buying most of the days and I know the usual portion. When I asked why the portion shrinked so much, the Malay cashier snobbishly said SAMA AJE! Walked away from her counter and roll her eyes.

Used to dabao and i find that it has been getting more expensive recently. Stopped recently as i dun think its cheap anymore. But today's breakfast all other shops were closed so i ate this and i realised its much nicer as i am at the 1st batch 6am. All were hot and crisp, nicely made.. Wing + egg + beehoon = $3.70 Didnt get any bad service so i was lucky. In all fairness, their lemon cutlet rice and chicken rice are all cheap and good. Had been buying them recently. 3* today solely cos of the hot n nice beehoon.

I went here to buy kway teow at 10:30 today and was scolded by this person again. I was scolded twice by this person. His attitude was astonishing. He told me you can’t speak. In the end, he even scolded me, saying that he has a life but no one to support him. Really I can't bear it. When I called the store, no one answered. People like this are still working here and will harm others sooner or later. It's best for everyone not to go. I'm really angry.
