Vibe Tasting

A charming, cozy dinner at Jo Jo Indian Cuisine after a long day. The renovated setting feels elegant and comfortable, the service is warm, and the standout lamb shank curry is rich, tender, and full of flavour, especially with the crisp Chennai parotha.

The restaurant has a great vibe—cozy and stylish, with deep teal walls, portraits of Gandhi, and classic Bollywood posters. It’s perfect for casual dinners or dates. The highlight was definitely the service. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Since we weren't familiar with some of the traditional Indian snacks, they proactively explained the menu and even showed us how to eat them and mix the sauces properly. We had an amazing dining experience here

If you love Indian food, you have to check out Jo Jo Indian Cuisine in Wan Chai. They've been open for 41 years for a reason! The decor is cozy and they even have live music on weekends. The highlight for me was the weekend lunch buffet-just HK$180 per person for an absolute feast. Over 20 different authentic dishes and great quality spices. No wonder the place was packed with regulars.

it's a long standing indian restaurant in wan chai. we were here for a weekend lunch buffet. they firstly serve the welcome snacks, and there are some fixed dishes to serve each table too, but tbh i didn't enjoy the fixed dishes. i was more here for the curry outside. the nurggisi kofta curry was my best pick! it's like the scotch egg that cut into smaller pieces and put to cook with curry. other curries i also love them but sadly the salad was pre mixed with dressing so it's not suitable for me. i'd love some fresh vege to go with the curry. happy to have the indian sweet dough balls, the gulab jamun, here too! the buffet set includes 1 drink, and it's affordable price to order more drinks too. so the food is very tasty here, but just i don't like too much fixed starters - i don't mean they're not tasty, but just with my dietary restriction, i couldn't have them and made me quite embarrassed to leave them there.

First time visit Jo Jo, service was fantastic, love their hospitality and table service, I started with the famous Indian street food Pani Puri which was fun and tasty to try, you’ve got to put everything into the ball including the Raita (yogurt), the green sauce and tamarin sauce just everything and pop into your mouth 💯 beware not to choke yourself with the juice inside 😆 the Mango Lassi was for sure almost the best I’ve ever tried in any places, can truly taste the fresh mango and I’ve requested “less sweet” which was perfectly made, the mixed tandoori platter was also delicious, the chicken tikka was the best of all, the tandoori fish was fair for HK locals like me if you know how high standards we have for fish dish 😆😆 and I’ve ordered the Lamb Shrank Curry which was amazing, the curry was full of aroma of spices especially fine taste of ginger, the lamb was perfectly done and not taste very gamy at all, finally the Garlic naan bread was also very tasty. Recommend to everyone if you wanna try Indian food in HK. Ciao
