After a long flight, Chen Lili (Indonesian Restaurant) gave us a meal that did its job it filled us up. From a French palate perspective, the dishes lacked refinement and depth, leaning more toward functional than flavorful. From a Filipino palate, the food felt plain and didn’t deliver the comforting, bold taste we’re used to back home. The ordering process was confusing, and the staff wasn’t very accommodating. Thankfully, another customer kindly explained how things worked, which made the experience manageable. The atmosphere was practical rather than welcoming, and while the food served its purpose, it didn’t leave us with much desire to return. Overall, Chen Lili is fine if you simply need something to eat after a long journey, but it falls short for those seeking either refined flavors or hearty comfort, comparing to other Indonesian Restaurants.

Not friendly. I wait in front of the counter with the lady facing me, but she plays with her phone to find something to watch. After finding the video, then only she entertained me. Another customer came to pay the food and she entertained her very friendly. I just assumed she not good with tourist and only talk nicely with her indonesian friends around kaohsiung here. The food is not that really good as the tempe were hard, the fish is small, ayam geprek (barely have chicken and a lot of flour covered it) and served hot drink in small cup for 50NT. It is expensive for the quality of food. Not satisfied :(

Food is nice, owner is friendly too. My Indonesian friend knows the owner who was kind enough to recommend the food. Overall a great experience here.

Another restaurant offering halal food in Kaoshiung city; quite possibly a haven for Muslim travelers (and homesick Indonesian resident too) Food was good; especially pairing the grilled chicken with the yellow rice (nasi kuning). Es Campur was hella good! On the downside, the atmosphere/ambience was somewhat of a downer. There's a karaoke bar upstairs, the noise from which was a bother. Nevertheless, it's a relief to have another halal food option in KH. Highly appreciate the owner's efforts
