Be prepared to queue. One of the best chicken rice stalls I have tried. The chicken is tasty and crunchy. The rice texture is very nice. The whole eating experience was completed with the green and sambal chilli. Chilli was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Soup serving is self service. Price is reasonable though . You can add more items (chicken, rice, chilli, etc.) and they are opened between 10:30am and 1:30pm. I will try again when I am in that area.

2023 September review. Overall i find it okay. Let's talk about the good things. Chili = Green and Sambal both are good taste. Not super spicy type. Rice = Fragrant and not too dry. Chicken = Meat is tender. Negative , chili as stated very clearly at the food stall if wants extra got to pay for it. For me i will not. Given portion for the green chili it looks decent portion, but for me i find it little given. Now lets talk about the chicken taste, the taste is okay , but the skin is NOT crispy. Not sure why other reviewer mention it is crispy skin.... For a $6 chicken rice meal with cracker and whole chicken thigh, the price is reasonable in a hawker center place.

This is top notch quality chicken rice. I have come here numerous times but it was either closed or the queue was so long during lunch. It is so worth the wait despite some queue. The whole dish is so robust in the taste - superb quality basmati rice, crispy tender and hot chicken drumstick, and very special green and red chilli. It is so memorable that I will keep going back for this.

This is definitely also one for the spicy-intolerance as the green chillies despite looking heavily coated on the chicken were devoid of any spiciness that they actually even included red chillies on the side. Everything here were mildly done. The rice mildly flavoured, chicken mildly fried but in a good way as the juiciness of the meat were fully intact. The green chilli were more like a radish than chilli. Though not a must have dish to me but definitely prefer this than Ayam Penyat any given day.

Finally managed to get a taste of it again after missing it sometime as it is always very long queue during lunchtime and on weekend, it even longer. Today the plate of green chilli chicken rice taste exceptionally good. The basmati rice is nicely done. The chicken is really tender. Even if you don't take spicy, u still can give it a try. It pretty mild spicy with a taste of sweetness. 👍

I'm a green chili lover. So this just hits the right spot. The green chili is nicely mixed with small bits of onion, the mix is blended using a pestle & mortar which makes it even more authentic and delicious. The rice was made with basmati rice, it's light and aromatic. The chicken was so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, it has a hint of flavorful soy sauce on it which compliments the green chili on top of it. Together with the sambal belacan and aromatic soup (it has a strong taste of ginger) on the side, it can never go wrong! Soup is self service for dine in and take away. Opening hours are short as the long queues are never ending and the quantity is limited to each depending on the situation. so do be quick to grab a plate! It's located in a food court/market, tables are clean. Went on a Sunday morning, it starts to crowd at 11am onwards.

Overall it’s quite a decent plate of chicken rice. They gave the whole drumstick with generous amount of chili for $6 (a bit expensive relative to other stalls in the sims vista market). Overall still worth it but the queue could get quite long and may need to stand in queue for 15min to over 30min especially closer to lunch time. The green chili taste is probably unique as we don’t usually get to find green chili to go with chicken rice in sg. The soup is not really to my liking. But still a 4 star from me because if I happen to be back there, I will eat it again only if the queue is short.

Queue was definitely long however it moved quite fast. Portion was just nice. Price wise is ok because of ingredients used. Basmati rice, chicken, green chilli, red sambal, keropok definitely worth the $6. Flavour wise, was expecting it to be spicy however it wasn’t. Red sambal wasn’t either. Chicken was juicy and meat was flaking off the bone. Good choice of rice as I didn’t experience any food coma.

Only sell 1 dish at this stall - Green Chilli Chicken Rice $6. Expect to queue when you're there. Best to go early before the lunch crowd. Enjoyed it very much 😋 looks really spicy with all that green chillies but it's not. Only a tad spicy. Good mix of flavours, savoury sweet spicy tangy. Chicken meat tender and tasty. Basmati rice is nicely cooked, really fluffy. Comes with spicy red chilli, cucumber, fish crackers, and soup on the side.

The queue was not so long, but the service was slow. The aunty who is serving the order is very friendly I had a high expectation on the green chilli chicken after seeing the good review, however, it is quite disappointing in term of taste, although the chicken is soft and tender. You might still give a try if there is no queue. It is just not worth the effort to queue for this.
