I spent some time in Uzbekistan many years ago, so finding this restaurant was truly a treat! We stopped in without reservations, but there was a table available. We had a beautiful bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and two delicious plates: beef plov and kebab assortment. So flavorful and delicious. I love the artwork in this restaurant… photographs of the beautiful Uzbek mosques. The wine decor is a great touch as well. Grand Samarkand is a delicious taste of Uzbekistan in Tokyo! Highly recommend! I’d like to come back for dinner - with reservations.

Very attentive service. Upscale Uzbek dining experience compared to the more working class types of establishments I've been to before. Too bad the music being played wasn't from the country or region.

I recently visited an Uzbek restaurant in Tokyo (Grand Samarkand), and it was a fantastic experience! I ordered the Plov (Osh) and the Samsas, and both were absolutely delicious. The Osh was incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and truly authentic—it tasted just like homemade. The Samsas were excellent as well, with a crispy crust and a savory filling. This restaurant is a hidden culinary gem and a must-try for anyone looking for warm, hearty, and tasty food. I highly recommend it to everyone!

So disappointed, I feel like the waiter ripped us off, being dishonest. This is the first time in 6 years, since I live in Tokyo, that I feel this way, like being scammed. When we finished our dinner with my friend, I thought about giving this restaurant 5 stars and writing a great review because we absolutely loved the Plov we had, tasting like the ones we ate in Uzbekistan. BUT, when it comes to the bill, we had a huge surprise : 2800¥ ONE glass of wine. More expensive than the Plov itself. Or, we asked for a white wine glass which was 750¥ on the menu, while showing it. And, when we asked for a recommandation, the waiter told us "Georgian wine" as if it was one of the 750¥ choice, but never told that it would be that expensive. If we had known, we would never have chosen this one. This 2800¥ wine is not even on the menu. We paid without being direspectful but I will not come back to this place and I won't recommand it to my friend either. And it's a pity, because the food was good but the dishonesty is what I really don't like.

Very good selection of Uzbek and Central Asian food. Prepared with care and professionalism. It seems chefs from Russia and Uzbekistan specifically came to create the menu here. Staff member Alisher was kind enough to explain the menu.
