Everything a Izakaya should be. Amazing food, inexpensive drinks, bustling atmosphere....this restaurant nails it. After two bad Izakaya experiences in Osaka, we needed a win and Tokyo delivered. The chicken skewers were phenomenal, I highly recommend the chicken wing. The karaage chicken was also a stand out, cooked to perfection. As for drinks, we loved the ginger highball. We had never seen one on a menu before so we had to try it. It was delicious. They are foreigner friendly with English speaking staff and an English menu. All the staff were friendly even during a crazy busy dinner service. This place is right outside Asakusa station near the bridge, so it's easy to find and has an upstairs with a view. One thing to note, they dont accept cash. This is the opposite of most restaurants which only accept cash in Japan. Definitely give this restaurant a try.

Stumbled upon this unassuming bar near our hotel here in Asakusa and the atmosphere looked great from the outside. Had to go inside and wasn’t disappointed by the vibe. It was cozy but buzzing. Had a couple round of beers with their fresh sashimi assortment and was not disappointed. It paired well with the cold draft beers. Props to our server too, Kenji, for taking care of us! He even noticed a wound on my dad’s hand and handed us band aids. The attention to detail is impressive. Would definitely go back for the vibes, the food, the drinks, and the service.

We are two vegans and had an absolutely magical meal here! Tons of clearly labeled veg options, and the ambiance is absolutely lovely. Definitely try the grilled veggies and

Wow! So glad we came here. The food was delicious, great service too. Kenji came by and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. He recommended the squid and it was really good. Thanks to the chef and staff for a memorable evening.

This place is amazing. I suggest you book quite in advance as they are quite busy. However, if you come at 11.30 (when they open), you might get seats without a reservation (I did). They have a completely gluten free menu and even gluten free soy sauce which they will bring to you. I had tempura shrimps and a salmon bowl! They are on the more expensive side but their fish is very high quality so really good quality for the price.

Nice view on level 2, faces the river. Seats around the kitchen and able to watch chef at work. Fresh oysters were juicy at ¥550 each. Tried natto and fish roe handroll & quite nice. Gonpachi pudding was a very cheesy creme brulee, yummy! Service was slow as they were preparing food for a large tour group (filled up the ground floor and part of second floor).

Good place to have lunch near of Asakusa . The food was good (since they also have Halal food). The view from the 2nd flood was good. But overall the restaurant quite busy especially during lunch. You need to have reservation before.

Had a fabulous experience! Miyasaka-son was a great host of the restaurant and served us well while recommending great dishes. I would come back to this location and recommend anyone in the area to visit!

We absolutely loved Tokyo, and the food is one of the best parts. This was an outstanding restaurant and what made it stand out was that in general, you go to a sushi place, or a tempura place, or a teriyaki place and enjoy that one delicious kind of food. In this case, we were able to get a variety of food in one restaurant and all of it was amazing. It was very much a tapas style in that the portions are small, but the prices, for the quality, really reflect the size and are very reasonable for the quality. They also had a great assortment of sake which we are not real familiar with, but enjoyed very much at the recommendation of Kenji, our waiter and host who was wonderful and spoke very good English, which helped a lot, and it’s not always the case in Japan. It’s a beautiful restaurant, highly recommended, we wished we had found it sooner so we could’ve gone back.

We came after the lunch rush on a Saturday. It was busy downstairs, but we found seats at the bar upstairs. It’s less smokey up there. The servers are attentive even when it’s busy. The lunch menu is a great value.

A great dining experience in Tokyo right by the Sumida river. I found the place through Happy Cow app, for vegetarians/vegans, and my friend eats seafood, so this place was perfect for both of us to enjoy a great meal that catered for both of us! Kenji was our host, and he was fantastic! Thank you Kenji and team for a great Tokyo foodie experience!

The food was superb and very delicious as well as reasonably priced. They have a dedicated gluten free menu with a lot of options so you will not be hungry! They also have soy sauce gluten free. In particular the chicken skewers were really delicious, they melt in your mouth. The service was good but they mixed up our orders a few times, however they were very quick to correct the orders. Also the food takes a little bit of time to arrive but honestly it's worth the wait! Hi there commented to come if you want to have a good relaxed lunch that makes you ask for more.

A vegetarian menu with asterisks for vegan which is most of the items! The house made tofu was my baby's favorite! The hand rolls were also good, the yam one was strange though because it was slimy. The veggie tempura was so good, I wish I ordered two. The French fries were also special with the seasoning. Nice views from upstairs as well!
