Had never heard of this place until we visited STL! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and got to pick our seat and they brought our menus. We went at breakfast, wasn't many people there. The food was delicious! Service was amazing! Maxie was our waitress, she was truly the best and so friendly. My 6 and 9 year old absolutely loved her as well! Also, they do not sell pork, which was simply wonderful, since we do not eat pork!

I tried the grilled chicken salad at Golden Pancake and honestly it was much better than I expected. The chicken was very well seasoned, with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. The portion was also generous, served with fresh greens, ripe tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and plenty of shredded cheddar cheese. The best part for me was the homemade ranch dressing. It was creamy and tangy, and you can really taste that it is made fresh, not like the usual bottled dressing. The toasted garlic bread on the side was also very good. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with care. Good value for the price and a very satisfying meal. I will definitely come back again.

Discovered this little spot while in STL. The food was excellent and the waitress was excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere/diner was dated but in a good way.

Trying this place for the first time and I'm a little disappointed. I had gotten the sampler breakfast. Which includes eggs ham sausage pancakes and hash browns. The price for all these items is pretty fair. Despite there being no actual menus up at the front for me to look at to make my decision and just having to go off of my phone for a to-go order. When asking the gentleman for a menu. It looked like he really didn't want to grab me a menu. And just said "they didn't have any." It would be nice if they had a menu simply to keep up front for to go orders. Or if you would have actually grabbed me one real quick, instead of me having to go on my phone. When making my order, it includes pancakes. But when I asked for chocolate chips to be added to the pancakes. It was an additional $3 charge. Pretty high charge for just/only chocolate chips. Other places I've gone to where the price was about $3 for an upcharge for chocolate chips also includes whipped cream, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and some places sprinkles or strawberries. So I was very surprised when I returned home with my to-go order to find no chocolate chips on the pancakes. Upon eating them. I noticed a hole 6 or 7 chocolate chips. I can go to the supermarket buy a large bag of chocolate chips for about $4. Giving them $3, for just chocolate chips, I expect the pancakes to be slathered in chocolate chips. 6 or 7 chips in a pancake is not a chocolate chip pancake... Hoping the management team sees this and gets this issue corrected. First by adjusting the cost of $3 to a $1 charge. For an upgrade of chocolate chips because that would still be a profit and not price gouging. I could understand $3 if you're getting 6-8 pancakes. But not for just 2 pancakes. Unless they're going to add whipped cream, powdered sugar and chocolate chips. Then that would be closer to the $3 charge. Another major issue which I will have to also remove stars for is NOT having a military or veteran discount program. Most diners will have something for US veterans. 10% to 15% off is the standard. Please get these things fixed. Thank you

Diner delicious! Big portions with plenty of flavor. I was craving an omelette for late lunch and Golden Pancake nailed it! I had a gyro omelette and it was packed with the ingredients I chose. Maxie was my server and her smile and attitude were fantastic. The booths are a little dated but I didn’t come here for the atmosphere.
