Aesthetically so beautiful. It felt so pleasing to be dining in such great ambience. Large variety of food that were cooked perfectly. Service was fast and efficient. Food was replenished timely. I have no complaints at all. Love the muah chee, lamb, satay and array of desserts. U will be spoilt for choice

Ambience wise, this is one of the few halal buffet restaurants that give such good vibes. Service was good as they cleared the plates at our tables at opportune timing. The downside is the food. For those that enjoy hot food, the choices here are not much. Also the hot food are located together in an L shape setup which unfortunately form crowds during peak period. Cold foods like the lobster claws, prawns, scallops and mussels were nice and condiments were thoughtfully placed near them. Cold food also had salmon, tuna and octopus sashimi. Freshly prepared as there’s a chef at the sashimi side slicing and plating. Desserts had a mixed of kuehs and cakes. Found an ice cream machine with only 1 flavour, Thai milk tea. But it was so sweet and such a waste.

Ginger Restaurant distinguishes itself by offering a more focused menu compared to other renowned buffet establishments. While the variety may be limited, the restaurant excels in delivering above-average food quality, particularly in its seafood selection, which includes prawns, mussels, and scallops, as well as sashimis like tuna, salmon, and octopus. The freshness of the seafood and sashimis is outstanding, making them well worth the money. In addition to the seafood options, Ginger offers cooked dishes like laksa, chicken rice, and satay, which are highly recommended for those looking to savor some delectable flavors. Considering the price point, Ginger Restaurant provides excellent value for money. Due to the limited space at the food counters, please be prepared for potential queues during peak dining hours when there is a high volume of customers.

Ginger seems to bank on being one of few halal hotel buffet restaurants to survive - it is a cosy place with bright colours, but the food lets it down tremendously. Went to try a promising tie up between a Michelin starred chef from Thailand and Ginger. Very underwhelming and overpriced for the quality - Parkroyal buffets have disappointed me several times - they used to be good but now just meh. Buffet is priced at SGD 88++ but I would not have paid more than SGD 50-60++ before discounts. Prawns with vermicelli - the prawns were tasteless Lobster with tom yum sauce - inconsistent, first round didn’t look torched and I wouldn’t have eaten even if given to me for free, another round was torched and much better. Durian pengat came in shot glasses with nut toppings - but it was DEFINITELY SPOILT with a sour taste, we tried two different shot glasses between us. Thai milk ice cream - soft serve machine didn’t seem to be working despite the efforts of a kitchen staff dispensing liquid mix from the machine and pouring it back in several times. No signs at the machine to indicate it wasn’t working properly. Didn’t work at all by the time I left at 720pm (buffet started at 6pm). Crab omelette - there are way better ones from most Thai restaurants in Singapore - nothing nice about it. Lamb shank massaman curry - seemed to be tail instead of shank and it was tough. Tom yum soup with seafood - I have cooked much better versions, it was just overwhelmingly spicy with no other notes. Mango salad with crispy fluffy catfish - mango salad on its own was ok but the catfish was definitely not fluffy but small hard crisp bits. Scallop on shell - it’s the kind you get at cheap hotpot places with an extremely thin piece of “scallop”, looks like they cut the rest of it off to sell the scallop meat. Missing items included - soba, tamago, otak, lamb chops, wild mushroom soup, barramundi, braised beef cheek, prawns aglio olio, more than half the kueh on the menu, more than half of the fruits on the menu. To their credit they did have alternatives or added a couple additional items, except for the fruits and kueh where they had far fewer items than the menu listed. The menu was also poorly vetted, there were lines of items with the thai name and the next line is the english name - it looks like there are two different items when it is not. It does make one wonder if it was intentional misrepresentation to beef up the menu or just poor proofing. Decent items included - thai style steamed fish, pandan chicken, thai fish cake, a couple of the nyonya kueh, muah chee, satay (mis-sold as lamb when it was mutton) - but nothing that would make you think it was anything close to Michelin. Also had issues with booking, they didn’t call me at all to confirm my booking yet they sent me an automated sms with a link to a page which indicated they called me and I didn’t answer hence they placed me under a waiting list. What a ridiculous policy - even if they had really called me once, they should assume my reservation is still confirmed. Restaurant seems poorly managed and without the customer experience in mind.

Wide spread of food for dinner buffet. Currently, also include a Thai food section. The highlight are the boiled lobster claws and cheese lobster. Chilli and pepper crab are ordered and cooked separately and serve to the table. There is salmon, tuna and octopus sashimi. Thai food section has pandan chicken, prawn cake, tang hoon prawn, padthai. There's lamb chop and roasted beef. Lots of dessert to choose from including durian pengat. The restaurant is not overly crowded and has a pleasant atmosphere.

Breakfast for hotel guests. Sumptuous for me. Spoilt for choices, from local dishes to international. There's fried bee hoon (rice vermicelli) with bean sprout. White plain congee which you could add your topping choice and condiments like, salted egg, spring onion, fried shallots, century egg, chinese Hua Gua pickle, sweet zha chai, peanuts etc. A simple bowl of congee turned into a hearty morning breakfast. Love the chef cooked my omelette 😋 thanks chef 👨‍🍳

Came here for my birthday as recommended by my sister. It was the Christmas Dinner Buffet. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the restaurant atmosphere and food options. Although the food variety is slightly limited as compared to other buffet places, the food quality is excellent. The service provided was prompt and friendly despite the staff looking evidently occupied (could do with more staff members). They always had smile on their faces which made me feel happy (especially on my birthday haha). The seafood was fresh and delicious. The dessert was amazing especially the Christmas log cake (there was just something about it that tasted so good). The cheesy lobster was a very popular food item and I could tell why based on the taste. I would recommend this place to others especially for events :)

Had Xmas lunch here, party of 9. Nice venue and ambience, better than expected. Although strictly no seating before 12, which is fair, felt very comfy waiting in the hotel lobby, which even provided cold infused water. The restaurant itself, minus a point on atmosphere because the music was too loud for a while. The food was better than expected as well. The crabs were cold, fresh and sweet, bursting with juices. Same for the prawns. Next time I am not wearing a white shirt! They also had chili crabs which I didn't dare try! :) The sashimi was great too, especially the swordfish. Hot dishes, the prawns with petai stood out for me. To be honest, didn't have much space left after the seafood! So can't really comment on the rest. Surprised with the wide range of food, there was only one flavor of ice cream. The teas weren't a top brand but Dilmah. Guess the budget ran out! Still, minor quibbles for an otherwise great meal!

The last memory I have at this location in this space is delectable Japanese Buffet. But it has changed and I was told that they underwent a transformation during Covid to become what it is today - a cozy and warm setting and serving mouth watering halal-certified buffet of myriad food across various Singapore ethnicities. Besides the delectable food, the design of the place is both nostalgic bringing back memories of the good old days and yet very modern and chic.

Love the variety of food, big lobster and fresh prawns. Lots of sashimi too. Cake selection was great too. Durian puree was so so nice. You can order crab from menu, didn't eat much as no tool for it. Given a lower rating for service as we took a bowl of scallops and mussels, the staff just cleared it without looking. Also when we ordered items from the menu, the staff was lost when giving out our orders.

Used to eat here with my family when I was younger but over the years it seems like the standard has dropped. Seafood selection was good but cooked chilli & salted egg crabs were soggy. We were not so lucky to have gotten a young server who cleared my dad's entire plate of peeled crabs away without asking, this server also spilled sauce on my brother later on. Our table was situated under one light so half of the table had to eat in a darkened atmosphere. Durian puree was great and the pancake machine is a great novelty for kids but not sure if I'll return again.

This is one of the few restaurants we dined frequently and as such I have reviewed it a few times before over the years. Since I have revisited the restaurant again recently in celebrating the Chinese New Year, I thought of sharing the latest dinning experience here. We had an enjoyable festive buffet lunch here in celebration of the dragon year! The cafe is beautifully decorated in red and Chinese decors and it's lovely with cosy and bright ambience too. The food spread was good with seafood like lobsters, prawns, satay, fresh sushi maki and salmon, tuna, just to name a few. The soup of the day (fish maw chicken soup) was flavourful, laksa was nice and not overly thick, chicken rice, curry mutton etc were yummy. Desserts were nice, with lots of fresh cut/whole fruits and coffee/tea were inclusive in the buffet. And since it was CNY, they also provide DIY Yusheng (raw fish for loy hei). Ingridents were fresh. Service was good, staff were very efficient in clearing used plates and utensils. We enjoyed our dining here as usual.

What a great restaurant find! My family and I came here for a special occasion. We thought we were going to be late so they accommodated our timing as we have diposited earlier. When we got there, it was not busy. The atmosphere and the cleanliness was great! The lighting was perfect! In terms of food, you have to be careful if you are coeliac! Not sure entirely if they cater towards people who are. But they have a great array of fresh/raw and cooked sea foods!!!! We loved the chef who was manning and creating beautiful fish cuts! There were lots of salad ingredients, cooked and soups, and I believe they mostly have asian style cooking that we were looking for so it was great! We had to deposit, as said earlier and we paid the rest after we ate. The customer service was great and responsive. They also have a clean bathroom! You have to be careful if you are in a wheelchair and ask for assistance. The pricing for the buffet is worth every cent! We were able to hang around the lobby of Park Royal where Ginger is in and it was such a nice lobby to take pictures of. Thanks Ginger! PS. Haji Lane is across the street where you can cross the cross bridge to get there!

My husband brought me here to have our Ramadhan Iftar buffet together! I was so in love with the ambience of the restaurant layout and decorations. It was so beautiful! There were the Nasi Kandar buffet spread and it was delicious. We also enjoyed eating the chilli crab! It was tasty. The staff were very professional and fast to clear our table to make more space for our foods. Will definitely come back again next year and recommend it to relatives and friends! 🥰😍❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
