I ordered the ayam geprek boneless chic n the portion was small about size of chick culet measuring 10cm x 7cm x 1cm. Ended up eating rice only with soup. Wife ordered ayam penyet whichh looks better. Why creat le a dish that does not fill people up? Sambal was only a tablespoon serving. Will not come again.

The ayam bakar was very delicious and the staff was incredibly generous with the extra rice toppings. Good and affordable option in the area.

I work in TBP. and I tried for the first time. It was great. Gado2 , Not too spicy just right amount of spice and peanuts is not to fine. Have bits of it. Overall it’s great ! I will come back.

Friendly staff and the food is good. Only the keropok not crispy. I like their belado chilli and the fried chicken.

Our first experience was at the Jewel Changi branch. We then looked for a branch nearest to West Coast. Excellent and tasty food.

Not bad, not crowded during lunch, big space too. The grilled chix size i feel small in size.. the boneless chix is like chix cutlet

Quite a homely place with well-prepared food. The staff are cheerful and gives the place a nice vibe. Come here for a casual down-to-earth meal! Chicken is quite tender and chilli is not that spicy, quite ok.

We had lunch here on a Sunday. The sambal belacan was tasty and had just the right about of spice. Also didn’t have any issues with service - in fact the uncle was very kind to bring everything to us since it wasn’t busy. Ordered the grilled beef (iga bakar), rendang and eggplant belado which was nice and crispy. Would recommend and will be back!

Place is ok and clean. Attitude of staff is poor and needs training. Food quality is not so good and freshness is also not there. Price wise ok.

The ayam penyet was crispy, juicy and packed with flavor from the chilli, goes well with the rice and side dishes! The grilled pomfret was a little too sweet for my liking, but grilled nicely. The main problem was the portion sizes of the meats. It was very small compared to the amount of rice served. The amount of side dishes could also be improved for the price point.

First time trying this no-frills outlet. I’m a mini fan of Ayam Penyet. The taste of the chicken was great! Alas, the chicken portion was pretty small when compared to other Ayam Penyet places I’ve tried. The chilli was very spicy (Ayam Penyet dishes must have spicy chilli). I don’t take spicy well, so I asked the staff to just give me a lil chilli for taste. I ordered the iced passionfruit drink to counter the chilli’s spiciness and it worked ☺️☺️ I chose this place as they have proper chairs and it’s not crowded at 8pm. I like that it’s spacious. You pay at the self-service counter first before collecting your food. My meal came up to $13.50. For this price and being situated in an AC mall, I think the price point is still alright. Though, it’s very unlikely I’ll return.

Came to Dapur Penyet for our dinner, this time we tried Grilled Chicken with Padang Sauce, grilled squid, oxtail soup, Kang Kung belachan, corn fritters and charcoal grilled duck. The highlight for me was Kang Kung belacan was delicious! The sauce was appetising. Oxtail soup was fresh and flavourful, generous amount of tender oxtails were given. They even asked us whether we would like to reheat the soup as we were too busy chatting each other. the grilled chicken with Padang Sauce. The well marinated chicken was tender and the green chili perfectly complements it. I can literally eat this alone with a steamed rice.

We had ayam bakar, ikan bakar and french beans. Super shiok and spicy belachan made the food really good! Loved that their tofu was fresh. Definitely worth a second visit. 😋👍🏻
