Got to try their longtong today (packed home). Also sedap😋. Agree with the most recent review - indeed sedap. We packed the ayam Penyet home for lunch and was generous amount of chilli (packed separately), tau kua, tempeh, chicken thigh (drum stick) and a pack of soup too. The food sold out fast by 10am+. This hawker centre also has limited time left till early 2026 before it is expected to be closed permanently (according to the stall operators there).

Barokah Indian Muslim Food is located in Jln Benaan Kapal Food centre, a small and isolated food centre. I ordered their green chilli chicken rice, which cost $6. The rice was a little dry and bland although its colour suggests that chicken oil/stock has been used in cooking the rice. Thankfully, the chicken leg was what saved the day. I am not sure if their chicken leg is fried upon order, but mine was. It was warm, crispy and marinated well. The green chilli was also spicy and zesty. This dish would have been an easy 5 stars if not for the rice, which is a pity as the food here has potential.

Very good chicken rice! They reopened 2 weeks ago (mid march), I think it's 11am to 5pm except Tuesdays.

Homely and tasty Nasi Padang in an old school coffee shop. Can’t go wrong if you’re in the area.

Had the Mee Siam & Mee Rebus, at super affordable prices. Portion was reasonable considering the price, authentic local taste! Very earnest couple running the stall.
