One of the best Ayam Penyet I’ve had given the kick of the sambal & flavoursome of the rice! The chicken itself was crispy, and huge. I’m always ordering it via GrabFood, and given the 10-15mins delivery time, food was always served at its best quality. Never fails to disappoint. Other dishes like the Briyani and satay as well were delicious! Definitely something you should try given the price 🫶🏻

Their food is ok, butter rice is nice. Chicken cutlet reminds me of my secondary school fried chicken snack. The price increases a few times. I order online but they gave me wrong/missing order. If order at their stalls, the preparation could take sometimes, then sometimes they will closed their stalls to go smoking at the carpark.

Generous portions, delicious food, friendly staff! Western Ambeng idea was definitely a hit with the family as usually everyone is so fickle for iftar choices and they love the variety of sauces as well!

Decided to check out the long queue that is consistent during peak hours. While cooking time may varies depending on what you order. There is a buzzer system and I will say it is worth the wait. Taste wise I got what I paid for. If there is one small niggle, the price is considered on the mid tier side considering it is inside ci yuan cc.

Take note that Brostern occupies two stalls - one that serves their more extensive menu and one that just focuses on fried chicken thigh + briyani/flavoured rice. Overall good spot for interesting Malay-Western fusion, but nothing too inventive. Fills you up.

Underrated western food that happens to be halal. Warm and friendly staff that greets with a smile. Food portion is very very generous. The aglio olio is especially superb. Worthy of #cleanplateclub

No doubt that the food is good and i was a repeat customer. The previous price hike was still understandable due to high operating cost. But the price has hiked up so much that i will not go back to this stall again. My kid loved the $7 build your meal option as it was reasonably priced. Today, i'm shocked to see the price has increased to $8.50! That's like a 21% increase!

Ordered 2 big platters and 5 normal platters for workplace iftar. Portions were huge!! The food was good too. Overall, really value for money. But most impressive was the customer service. Boss Raimy Tan was really accommodating and patient throughout the ordering process despite being their off day. Really friendly to deal with. Not gonna hesistate to support them again in the future! Thanks Raimy and the Brostern crew for comin thru!!

~Review Verdict~ Price: S$6-8 Food: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Service: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ Value: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This is one of my favourite Western hawker places because I love how generous they are with the portion of cheese on my Volcano Burg, which is absolutely delightful. However, their service can be slow at times. I waited around 45 minutes one time just for ordering the Volcano Burg. Wish I didn’t have to wait so long..

We ordered the Volcano Burger & the Jumbo Burger which was about $6.50 and $7.50 respectively. It was quite disappointing because we have been meaning to try it for awhile but it wasn't as tasty as it could have been. The nacho cheese on the volcano burger was cold, the buns was cold. The beef patty itself was delicious but still.. pretty standard. I wish they added more onions, lettuce & heat the buns with butter or SOMETHING just dont serve them cold? I love the hawker center itself but Brostern, this is a stern warning to please do something about your burger aside from your patty. I want to support local businesses!

The grilled chicken was done really well! Slightly charred on the outside and really tender inside. Fries were standard but fresh out of fryer. Ask for less oil on aglio olio and you'll have a winner. However, the salted egg sauce was a little underwhelming... I wished it had a sharper taste. For $6, this plate will last you through the day. The food is too much! Haha. And extremely friendly guys here! I'll be back.

Good food, great service! Regular to this hawker store and yet the best!!! so I’ve tried most of everything. All is delicious, the dishes, appetizers and even the sauces. Their platters called, Brostern Ambeng, a malay cuisine name infused with western cuisine, are great for sharing and affordable. Is a must order and once you go try you will never stop trying.! Marvelous! Best Recommended!

I was supposed to pick up my food around 11.45am. But the stall was half way open. So waited till 12.45pm. When the owner came and I asked for my order. He said it was close. Worse service ever! Technically open but tell it’s close. Wasted my money on this.
