An overdue review, written with a full heart and a lingering sense of wonder.
From the very beginning, this was never going to be just a wedding cake. What they created felt like something drawn from the pages of a dark fairytale, where every detail is intentional and every element tells a story.
It stood as a centerpiece not only of design, but of feeling, quietly enchanting and impossibly beautiful, capturing our vision with a depth I struggle to put into words.
The cake itself, a red velvet with Nutella buttercream, was nothing short of indulgent poetry. Even as the evening softened into night, each bite remained tender, moist, and rich with flavor, as though time itself had paused to preserve it. The macarons, in vanilla, cookies and cream, and salted caramel, were delicate and perfectly balanced, each one a small, sweet moment to savor.
Woven between them, the preserved black hydrangeas lent a haunting elegance, a subtle drama that made the entire piece feel almost otherworldly.
Just as remarkable was the experience of working with them. There was a quiet grace in their professionalism, a genuine warmth in their kindness, and an intuitive understanding of how to bring an idea to life.
Their suggestions did not simply refine our vision, they illuminated it, adding depth, texture, and a sense of magic we could not have imagined on our own.
This was more than a cake. It was a creation that lingered, a memory made tangible, a reflection of love, artistry, and a little bit of beautiful darkness brought gently into light.
