One of the best burgers I’ve had in Singapore! Had the cheeseburger and chicken burger and it was cooked to perfection. Understandable that the queue is very long as that is what you get when the food is good. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try it!

Went on Sunday and crowd started even before 530pm. Feels competitive as a customer. Not sure if weekday will be better. Food serving time is adequate as the food needs to be grill/rest/fried. Food is served to your table. Feels better if there's a buzzer or number system so it will be a self collect system. Was actually looking forward to their grilled crab but not available on the day. Steak is good for the price paid, $19, with salt flakes. Comes with fries and salad. Chicken burger is tender but the sauce is overwhelming. Feels a little gelat after eating. Brownies with ice cream is great! Not too sweet yet rich in flavor. Overall, if you have the time and want to adventure new dining place, why not try this out?

It’s like bringing restaurant worthy food into a hawker setting which is pretty refreshing. The steak was delicious and the sauce was amazing! Went there on a sunday evening, long queue was expected and by the time it got to our turn many items were sold out. Quality of the food was great no doubt! Just the waiting time and managing the crowd to avoid disappointment after queuing for some time could be improved.

The chicken burger is very good, chicken was cooked to perfection with the tangy sauce. Chips is similar to McD type os v good too. The steak was ok but abit salty. Good value and good taste. There’s a queue before the 5:30pm opening with avg waiting time from queue to receiving food is 40-50mins! We’ll long waiting time always means good food that take care to prepare :)

Operated by youngsters. Queue was pretty long and some dishes were no longer available when it is our turn to make order. One of the steak was over cooked but staff offered a complimentary one apologetically. We did not even make a complain or feedback. Thumbs up!

Situated at a hawker center with really juicy burgers and nice steaks. I was there on a Sunday night and most shops in the hawker are closed so the ambience is actually not too bad. Service is impeccable for a hawker stall. Well staffed and very good manners. I saw a table with quite unreasonable customers but the staff was very calm and really aimed to please the couple. My only complain - the 210g beef looks underweight. Otherwise all good.

I follow a handful of people myself who I think provide thoughtful reviews of the kinds of places that interest me, and this is what led me to try BLACKGOAT. We came on a weekend about half an hour after they opened. My advice is that you get there at opening or earlier. By the time we arrived, there was already a queue and it took a full hour for us to order and get our food. Was it worth it? Yes and no. The burger was quite tasty, though the some might find the quantity of caramelized onions to be a bit much. We liked it. The steaks were decent but nothing spectacular. I’d say they were slightly overcooked, though they do use a meat thermometer to test for doneness. The one in the photo is supposed to be medium rare. I’d say that’s medium. The seasoning was light so you could really taste the meat and it was nice. We opted for the strip loin based purely on the size available. Normally, I’d make a ribeye at home as I like my meat a bit fattier, but we were sharing a bunch of dishes, so we went for a smaller cut. Fries are pre-cut frozen from a bag. Nothing special there. The salad was decent and fresh. The cheesecake was rather nice and sold out while we were there. Reviews are mixed on the pepper topping but all of us liked it. They also came to the table and freshly grated cheese over it, which was a surprising touch. Service is friendly and professional. These guys are working hard and manage to keep a welcoming smile. Prices are reasonable for the quality of what you’re getting compared to what you’d pay in a restaurant, but this isn’t a restaurant. It’s a hawker stall and that’s my worry. The operation is so small and labor intensive for the volume that they’re able to do, that I wonder if it’s sustainable. As much as I enjoyed the meal and found the value proposition to be decent, I wouldn’t queue and wait an hour for it. If I could get there early and get my food within, say, 20 minutes of arrival, that would work. I would like to go back and try the chicken sandwich. It looked amazing. And they didn’t have the katsu sandwich the day we were there, but I’d like to try that, too, as it looks great in others’ pics. I feel like katsu sandwiches (please don’t call them ‘sandos’) are a bit of a fad in Singapore the past few years, and most of them are grossly overpriced and ultimately disappointing, but these do look good and I’d like to give it a try. Will I go back? Probably, but I’ll time it better next time.

😀/🥹 Can you bear to be earlier than when they open? Then this place is for you! Great cheeseburger, ribeye needed more salt but you don’t get a charcoal grilled steak at these prices. Chicken burger was decent.

Reached the stall at 5.35pm on a Saturday evening and queue number was 17. Waited 30min before placing an order and another 20min wait for the food. The Ribeye Streak was juicy and nicely cooked. Priced at $37.50 for 360 grams, it was one of the more affordable steaks at this quality. The Cheeseburger was juicy and the sauce (don't know what it was) went well with the burger. The fries were normal and unexciting. Priced at $15, it was on the high side. The cheesecake was excellent but we didn't like the topping (note to self - remember to ask them not to put the topping or put it at the side). Overall, almost restaurant standard at slightly higher than hawker centre price. But undecided if the close to an hour wait was worth it.

The Australian black Angus rump cap (190g) w black garlic cream was the star of the meal. The black garlic flavor was bold and pairs well with the steak which was cooked well according to my preferred doneness (medium rare). The chicken burger with added salmon roe was good too and the portion size is huge enough to share 2pax. The letdowns were the fries and cheesecake. I found the fries too stiff for my liking and the black pepper whipped cream tasted too mild for my palette for it to add any dimension in the cheesecake-eating experience. The basque burnt cheesecake itself was just normal, wasn't gooey in the middle or anything and I felt the $10.50 price tag was abit too much for an overall mediocre-tasting cheesecake. Beware of long queues and abit of waiting time. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and queued for almost 30mins and waited for about 15-20mins for the food. The people taking the orders were really friendly and polite. Would be good if they update the menu on a weekly basis on social media rather than on the day or previous night itself so that customers can plan their way there ahead of time. I did overall enjoy the food and the warm service and would be back to try their other menu!

Had the rump cap with fries. Really liked the fermented black garlic sauce. Just… chef’s kiss. The rump cap was good too. Probably would have liked it even more if they go easy on the salt a bit - but that is just my preference. Overall - food is above average. Will definitely be back for other things. Too bad it was sold out when I was there. Keep up the good work!

The rump cut was definitely cooked better than the striploin. I ordered medium rare but it was definitely more towards medium well. Despite that it was seasoned well and it came with a side of salad and croutons. Would recommend the the rump cut , more worth and tasted better in my opinion. Fries was nice and crisp and the sauce was unique and nice

Today we had a delectable white chocolate affogato topped with homemade honeycomb. Meal was an absolute joy! Steaks were prepared to my preferred doneness. Meat loves salt and these steaks were well seasoned. Preference of the au jus over the black pepper cream sauce. Ribeye was lovely but the rump cap was shockingly tender and flavourful. Meats carried slight smoke getting that last bit of cooking finished over charcoal fire. Then rested before being craved. The cheeseburger was alright. Well charred, encapsulating all that lovely meat juices. Mini explosion ensues when you sink your teeth into this petite sandwich. Slightly overpriced at $14 in my opinion. The monstrous chicken burger on the other hand, set my taste buds on fire. In a good way. The sheer size of this thing, makes this is a meal on its own. Light fluffy burnt cheese cake. Slight smoke, upset by too much heat from the black pepper cream. I look forward to coming back when they've refreshed the menu. 👍👍👍👍👍

The burgers are way better than the steak! Come for the chicken burger n beef bruger! Will definitely be back to try all the other dishes, especially the desserts. Steaks are well seasoned, same for the fries n salad. However, it does not necessarily stand out. Giving it 4 stars for the food, +1 to show support for the owners who are constantly innovating and growing their business!

Not a meat lover but somehow I enjoy their ribeye & sirloin steak. Their cheeseburger was juicy and seasoned well. But the most impressive meal for me was their dessert! Brownies with caramel sea salt and affogato. Wow. Affordable price as well. MUST TRY!

Super good and affordable steak!! Got the rump steak 210g and was impressed by the tenderness. I don’t usually like meat fats but this had such a good char to it! The fermented black garlic sauce was very tasty too. Got to say this steak is better than many restaurants imo 💯

Been here multiple times and it never disappoints! Had the rump steak this time and the flavour was 💯. Also tried the new item on the dessert menu and it’s my favourite by far. Thank you for making unique and quality dishes always :)

Restaurant quality burgers, juicy patties and very flavourful. We ordered a chicken burger and 2 cheese burgers. Dessert is out of this world, a must try! Definitely worth the wait. Will come back again to try other dishes.

Ordered almost one of everything, minus their desserts that sold out super fast! Bill amounted to $152. Need to queue at 5 if you want to secure the desserts. We queued at 5:30pm and were in queue for over an hour but it was worth the wait! Steaks were all very good. The sides are generously seasoned. Fries were on the salty side and fresh out of the fryer so it was very yummy! But if salty fries aren’t for you, can opt for dishes with salad on the side. Burgers were really good as well, cheeseburger was the STAR dish of the entire dinner. HAVE to get. Fried chicken burger was very well seasoned. Huge portion with generous amount of sauce. The special item of the day which was the sze Chuan flank was amazing! Small sharing portion. It was paired very well with the cucumber and radish. Nothing but good things to say about this place! Will definitely visit again and queue earlier to get the desserts.

Fairly reasonable price for rump steak with fries. Great taste for medium rare doneness. Come early to enjoy the vast menu that they have to offer. Missed out on the dessert. Definitely will be back to enjoy different cuts!

Their white pepper fried chicken burger was really delicious. It's juicy and very tender. Cutting it from top to bottom was no sweat. The sauce tasted very new to me, but it was good. Had to take home the remaining parts of the burger so my friends could taste. The staffs are also accommodating and the chef is really passionate about what he's doing. Despite the waiting time, I'll definitely bring my friends here when I get back in Singapore soon. Btw, this was my last meal before I went home to the Philippines, and I guess I was blessed enough to have been their last customer for the day. Hehehe.

Hawker Center “price” for quality and great tasting food. Long queue so be prepared. Service with a smile so you feel they appreciate your patronage. Good experience and will definitely return again with my family. Atmosphere is not fantastic as it is a Hawker Center but the price covers for it. I noticed other bringing along their own bottles of red and I might do likewise on my next visit.

BLACKGOAT, truly a G.O.A.T. Prepare your taste buds for a wild ride at, where burgers aren't just food—they're an experience! The real showstoppers—the burgers! Sink your teeth into the fried Chicken Burger, a crispy chicken bathed in sauce and spices, truly a flavor explosion in every bite~ Be sure to try the steaks out, it slaps and will be worth your money! Sure, getting to Jalan Batu Market & Food Centre might be a tough, but trust me, it's worth it. Once you've tasted their burgers, you'll be hooked.

Good food. Good prices. If you arrive early you’ll be given a chip with your place in the queue. The staff ensure that you line up according to number when it’s time to order. Food is good. But when you factor in the price, it becomes amazing. $14 cheese burger is way better than ShakeShack. They have your standard steaks and burgers always on the menu, but have rotating dishes based on what’s available to them. For rotating dishes, they’ll tell you how big a cut of meat they have and the price. You can choose from there. Staff is amazingly friendly, and more than helpful explaining stuff if you don’t understand. Always a pleasant dining experience.

Was surprised that there is such a nice and good stall in a hawker centre. They only operate at night and the Q starts to form at 5.30 pm. Ordered the ribeye steak, sirloin steak, grilled sotong, cheese burger, french fries, and brownie and panna cota for dessert. Both the steaks were excellent and succulent. They were tender and juicy. No regrets. The razor clams were sold out quite fast. The cheese burger was also very good. The two desserts were very rich and fantastic.

Blackgoat is a surprising experience. For a start the stalk has limited daily stocks. You must understand that it might run out of your preferred dish before you come to order. As such, I would suggest you show up between 5 and 5.30pm (Friday - Sunday). Sure you will have to wait a fair bit, but you will be able to while mostly seated. If you come past 5.30 your wait will be in the queue while praying your item of choice doesn't run out before you. That being said, Blackgoat's speciality is Steakhouse grade meat at a more affordable price. We had: - a couple of ribeye steaks (about SGD 40 each) - fries (SGD 4.5 ~although not home made I believe) - a Cheese burger (about SGD 14) - Panna cotta & sticky date pudding The price is very high for a good court, but the quality is there!! The meat is plain excellent and very well cooked. If you have always believed that steakhouses are overrated in Singapore because of their high price points. Maybe you should should check Blackgoat. The cheese burger is amazing!!! (Yet a bit small, take 2?) The desserts are also great, especially the sticky date pudding! Give it a try Will come back when we find the time to come in early and queue ..
