It is advised to take buffet in Al Sham at Sunday weekly for delicious and variable choices. Chicken liver and hummus are the must-try food. Free drinks with orange juice, Arab tea and coffee. You can come to the end of the restaurant to have the fountain view.

Absolutely terrible experience getting back home after a long day trying to get some decent meal and I’ve ordered from this Middle Eastern they claimed it’s (Syrian) food and it was just Shocking! I don’t believe there’s restaurants doesn’t know how to make HUMMUS! It’s Hummus guys chickpeas and tahini with a bit of garlic why is it too difficult! Yet you charge people VND 100,000 that’s $4 and the taste so bad god knows what you made it with! I’m shocked still and disappointed! OMG you don’t wanna hear the fried chicken experience I just opened the box and looked at it and I was like that doesn’t look like what they put on the menu and looked burned and overcooked however I accept it to give it a try it tasted nothing good but bad oil smells no taste but burned chicken. If you think this is a good or alright restaurant to eat from its a NO don’t go for it! worse experience I’ve ever had. I had to bin all the food and share this experience with you guys and I hope this restaurant improve their skills or close it.

Middle East deco, recommend upstairs for better seat and view, especially the balcony. The menu has variety of dishes. They also sell seasoning stuff and meat. Enjoy

Authentic, delicious Middle Eastern Syrian and Lebanese food, Al Sham is a true hidden gem in Saigon. Located a block from the Russian Market, on a busy road, Al Sham is a quiet unassuming oasis of food, flavor and spice. Fresh handmade on site pita bread, zataar spices, stuffed grape leaves, shish taouk, lentil and lemon soup, baklava and more the list goes on and on. It’s a no brainer for anyone wanting the best Middle Eastern food fare in Vietnam.

Tasty food. Would come back again. Had second thoughts when I arrived as the outlook of the place gave me doubts. But going up to the second floor changed my mind. They serve buffet and a la carte. I went for the a la carte and didn't regret! It was full house when I left at around 8, so you might want to make your reservations !

Ordered a kabsa rice with mutton. I assumed by ordering mutton, it would be the actual meat of the animal. Turns out: 50 percent of the dish was filled with bones (some very large, and some tiny), which made the dish impossible (and dangerous) to eat. So I had to throw out the entire order into the garbage. I shared my experience with the restaurant and they didn’t do anything to resolve the situation and simply said I should ask for less bone next time. Why is there bone in a rice dish in the first place? Are you supposed to pick bones out of your mouth with every bite? Anyway, the place has gone downhill over the past few years. First time I went there it was amazing . Last two times, it was horrendous, never trying this place again.

Had Lunch at this place recently. The menu was very extensive. A nice touch was they had an oven near the entrance where they baked their own bread rather than buying ready made. Another feature was call buttons on the wall behind the seats for service or the bill etc. So the food I ordered was Kibbeh and a Mixed Mezze. The Kibbeh was nice and not too filling because the mixed mezze was really quite large and could be used by a few people to share as an appetiser. In the mixed mezze the Tabbouleh salad (one of my favourites usually) was pretty basic and lacked sufficient lemon juice, the remaining appetisers were nice with more than adequate content. I also ordered a fresh orange juice which tasted like it came from a carton and with too much ice ( half the glass). Another few negatives were that a staff member was smoking whilst walking through the seating area and rather over the top loud music being played at the time. Considering they bake fresh bread the bread I received was stone cold. Like many reviews this was based on the day of my visit. I would be interested in trying this place again simply because the menu was quite interesting and extensive with many dishes I would like to try. There was also many middle eastern ingredients for sale on the wall which was a nice touch.

Best hummus in Ho Chi Minh City. This restaurant is a real food gem, every dish we tried was authentic & homemade. Some of our favorite things were the Zataar toasted bread, roasted chicken, mezes platter, and their homemade harissa chili sauce. I appreciate the owner's hospitality & kindness as well. We will gladly come back!

A halal restaurant with limited car parking options. Service is decently paced, and you'll find generous food portions here. While the taste is acceptable, it may not stand out as exceptional. If you're in search of halal options and don't mind the potential car parking challenge, this restaurant provides ample servings of decent-tasting food to satisfy your hunger.

This restaurant doesn't justify its price. It's advisable to explore other Vietnamese restaurants in Saigon. The kebabs, chicken and rice were undercooked, accompanied by a raw bread, and the so-called yogurt turned out to be a mayo-garlic mix. Overall, it's of subpar quality, and I wouldn't recommend it to tourists seeking Lebanese cuisine in Saigon.

Had a lovely dinner here earlier this week. The staff was really nice, the atmosphere did give me a very bazaar kind of sensation. The food overall was really good, except for the stuffed grape leaves was a bit salty to my taste, but the filling was spot on. The garlic sauce was amazing. I had to order a few extra goodies to bring home & enjoy later. Definitely will gather my friends to try their buffet in the next weekend!

Read the reviews written by Arabs and middle easterners before coming here. We did, and should have paid attention. Other than for the good quality humus and one other creamy side dish whose name I don’t remember, the buffet food was atrocious. I’ve eaten Lebanese food many times, though I can’t claim to have eaten Syrian food. It shouldn’t matter. We arrived when the buffet was just opening and even then, beginning with the first few bites things just didn’t seem right. It only got worse. And NO, the meat they were grilling outside most definitely is NOT lamb. It’s not even goat. Neither the flavor of the meat I ate nor the skeletal structure of the animal being grilled/roasted on the street was right for either animal. (Not even close!) From there, draw your own conclusions. Even the desserts were a complete disappointment; a pastry seeming to present itself as baklava with pistachio, rather than being flaky was oily, gooey and the pastry element had the texture of wet cardboard while the green filling was something unidentifiable dyed with a neon green. Ultimately the poor quality of the food outweighed all else in my determination to assign one star to the experience of eating here.

Love this place. One of the best baba ganoush I've ever had. Love their lunch buffet option on Sunday. Usually quite packed during lunch time on the weekend. Definitely coming to try out other menus.

Tasty, fresh Middle Eastern food near the river. We especially enjoyed the mezze and the spinach pies. The housemade harissa was also delicious! Worth a visit, the owner Badeh is really friendly

Good resto to experience Middle Eastern food. Their 1st Sunday of the month buffet is superb (especially because they offer roasted lamb). The Syrian owner is very nice and is very hands-on in handling the restaurant. PRO TIP : Eat in the 2nd floor for great Instagram photo opportunities.
