Unorganized. Total mess. Chaotic. Clearly mentioned from the beginning that we wanted to dine in, but after 30 minutes waiting, our order didn’t come up (the token never beeped). Found out our Garlic/Cheese Naans were wrapped, already cold. 1st Update: Gave them 2nd chance today (7 May 2023) yet, it got worse. They mistook my simple order & even added someone’s order to mine. On top of that, they called my token number while my dish was not yet ready. They even asked me once again what I ordered (which meant they didn’t take my order & didn’t note it). Cheese Naan & Garlic Naan were best though. 2nd Update: To my surprise, their Nasi Padang was really nice. The staff manning Nasi Padang stall was also kind & courteous. Let me add 2 more stars (now 3 stars).

Had their prata. The curry tasted as if they added water from yesterday’s leftover and added salt. Horrible. Should have just gone to other mamak shop in the area.

I always come to this area, because it is just across the street to MCAS. However, on Sundays, this is always full. I chanced upon coming here on a weekday afternoon and not much people so i Ordered a serving of butter chicken (about 12$), serving is good enough for 2, i must say. Ordered cheese nan, they cooked it on the spot however the other side was burnt Overall i will come here again when it is not crowded The drinks served are also cheap and good

It's ok. Average standard prata and bee hoon goreng lack ingredients. Al fresco dining saved the dining experience.

I came to Al-Azhar Geylang Serai Outlet on 5th Feb and had the worst experience ever. Firstly, it took them super long to cook the food. Secondly, when the food was ready to be collected, all of them were served cold. Thirdly, they didn't get my orders right. I ordered 2 sets of Nasi Goreng Kampung Special which should have something extra like the belinjau kerupuk and sambal from my experience at Tampines Outlet but I got only plain Nasi Goreng Kampung. I ordered the Sup Daging (Beef) but I got tomyam sup tomyam. They have the audacity to say no more Sup Daging available. How come they didn't say that upon ordering? How come they didn't get back to us if we want to cancel the order? Not happy with how they handle the situation. No refund was given too. When I asked can I double check your receipt as it was not given upon ordering and payment but they threw the receipt away. Very irritating. Bad service and really ruined our mood.

Requested Mee goreng Kambing, they said out of stock. Then I requested Mee Goreng Daging instead, but I got Mee Goreng Seafood. From Kambing to Seafood ah? How come? Plus the taste so hanyir really bad.

Food was HORRIBLE. What a waste of money. The garlic naan was like cardboard and you can barely see the cheese on the cheese naan?? May as well order plain. Don't waste your time and money. Disappointment.

We were looking for some top notch Malay food and we were not disappointed. At this Padang food stall, we ordered ayam goreng, ikan asam pedas, pucuk ubi and sambal belacan. Everything was delicious and proper spicy.

Chicken Tikka (SGD $11) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . Sized for 2, their generous portion makes it easy to share. . The boneless chicken chunks have a fragrant smoky aroma, and borders dry and moist; a more generous rub of yoghurt would be good. . Flavour is on point, the mellow smoky salty spice notes overlaid on the meaty savoury sweet flavour of the chicken. . Better when paired with the mint dipping sauce for its bright herbal sweet flavour.

Nasi Lemak is normal, the fried chicken is not really well cooked, the egg is tasteless. Mutton soup is expensive, close to 8 dollars, but luckily it does not taste bad and decently spiced. Roti prata is bad (i mean its my fault to order at 2pm) There are a lot of birds around this coffee shop, my friends saw bird standing on the banana fritter. I mean although its hard to control the birds, at least something can be done to ensure hygiene.

Banana fritters are tasty. Some items are delicious and some items are average. Overall, it's a pretty decent place to eat.
