I got stuck in Singapore on the way home to America from Bangladesh, and I ended up having an amazing day despite the travel difficulties. This little area was a great hangout spot away from the more touristy area my hotel was. Also check out the Joo Chiat complex while you’re in the area.

Tea Halia was crap and no wonder there is no crowd. Service is bad and food oily and tasteless. Can’t even make proper drink better close down instead of charging so much.

It's an okayish place to have edible Indian / south east asian food. While they have quite a lot of seating, it isbusuallly busy, especially during meal times. The prices are quite economical and location wise, it couldn't have been at a better place - right behind a bus stop and close to a marketplace.

Good malay food with a value set! The total set was around $50, making it affordable. Fish was crispy and tender, i was able to taste the freshness of it. The sweet and spicy sauce also complemented the fish and added to the taste while not ruining the texture of the fried fish. Tom yum soup is the creamy kind, it is extremely rich and has a good spice kick to it. Vegetable was well cooked and had a great taste and crunch to it. Omelette was extremely flavouful and not overcooked. It is fluffy and delicious.

At 2 double Egg prata. Prata was so bland with no taste. Curry the same . Iced Tea was ok. Won’t visit here again. Once is enough at least for the prata.
