Friend brought me to this restaurant, and I had a great (figuratively and literally) lunch. I ordered a mutton briyani, and shared fish meat patties, curry mutton, curry squid and fried fish chunks with my friend. I also had fresh lime juice drink, which was small but flavourful. Mutton briyani was good, with the mutton being generally tender. However, I liked the curry mutton a bit more. I usually don't like assam curry, but the curry squid's assam flavour was well-blended with other curry spices. The fish meat patties don't look appetizing, but are actually quite tasty. I love the substantial feel of the patty when I sink my teeth into it. The fried fish is batang, I believe. Well-seasoned and goes well with everything. The briyani rice and vegetables are free-flow, but I was completely sated by the initial serving. Good banana leaf restaurant, with relatively few seats, so do arrive a bit early.

01 Aug 2023 / about 11:15am -Take-way lunch for: White rice Quail eggs meal, big fried fish and small fried fish at $17/-. I have been observing the steady increase in prices and gradual drop in food quality. Today after tasting the food at home, is "that's it" can't take it anymore of their food quality. The big fish salty and scattered chilli paste in the inner flesh, small fish supposing crunchy but these were soft and taste shows fish was not fresh! Mixed vegetable was much chilli paste that dominated the taste and smell instead of the small pieces of carrots and cauliflower. Overall salt was not lacking, probably is cheap from elsewhere. My take-away is the owners have overlooked that their Restaurant will not exist without customers. Yes they depend on the tourists, regulars, etc. But also do not short change people who can afford the restaurant level food once in a few months. Be considerate for the freshness, salt pitching, chilli paste, overall the quality and taste. Money comes in won't last long but paying Customers deserve better food to justify your increase in prices!!!.

This is one of the first restaurant that I had gone to when I first arrived in SG more than 20 years ago. When I visit them again I realized nothing much has changed expect the staff. They still serve good food with love at an easily affordable price. Do take note that it is a very traditional restaurant setting so probably not the best place if you are not open for such cultural experience.

A average restaurant selling Indian food. The ambience within the restaurant is average, the interiors were ok and the exterior of the restaurant is not very appealing. The restaurant has limited seating and is pretty small. The counter and food service area are all in the main restaurant space as well. The restaurant isn't very clean though. Service was pretty fast, and the food was ok. The biriyani rice was pretty flavourful and the quantity was pretty big for just $5. The rice meal was not worth it, it came with small portions of vegetable curry which did not taste very good and cost $5 as well. Not worth the price. Overall, a good place to have a cheap biriyani but nothing else really.

Plain briyani is really yummy. Dried masala chicken a must try. Prawn semi gravy very delicious. Their iced moor is so refreshing.
