Ended up here as it’s one of the restaurants within NEX which is the easiest to find seats, especially on a Friday evening. The selections and quality is definitely there - try the char kuay teow, nasi lemak and Chendol. They are all house favorites. Prices are very reasonable also. Service is on-point and satisfactory. Definitely warrants a return.

Food is so affordable and portion is very generous. A simple restaurant. Service is good. The staff there are very polite. Good job!

At first I gave a little hope in this restaurant. But in the end, I was a little disappointed. The food was just okay. The char kuey teow is okay, does not have enough flavour. The rojak sauce is less and watery. The nasi lemak is okay too. The sambal is good but the rice doesn't taste like nasi lemak. And the bad thing about this is the acai, seems like it has been way overdue. The cucumbers are soft and taste funny. Definitely won't return in the near future.

The food was so meh! Price is ridiculous for this level of quality. Assam fish wasn’t fresh and had been frozen for so long that it tasted like the freezer. Char kway tiao had no wok hey. Beef rendang was the only salvageable dish. This place used to be decent.

Food: 4/5 Enjoyed the curry with dough fritters. Nasi lemak in pie-tie shells is too creative. Fried kway teow is 3/5 cos there's better hawker fare but good effort. Kopi chendol is interesting. Service: 4/5 Server lady recommended us some items but will probably try that next time. :)

First Penang-themed Halal Restaurant in Singapore known for their tasty & value-for money Penang dishes from Penang Fried Koay Teow, Rojak, Assam Laksa to BBQ Seafood. Reminisced my childhood with their new creation available for limited time from 1st - 31st July: 🍚Nasi Lemak Kueh Pie Tee $12.90 🐥Curry Chicken You Tiao $10.90 ☕Kopi Cendol $5.90 For better value, we ordered the Kaki Bundle Deal for Two at $29.90 inclusive of Nasi Lemak Kueh Pie Tee, Curry Chicken You Tiao and 2X Kopi Cendol! We enjoyed the fun of putting together the nasi lemak in Kueh Pie Tee! So interesting.

Hokkien mee and the chendol was nice but the penang laska was little disappointing as it was only the noodle and the vegetables. We were trying very hard to find the fish that was used to make the soup which is the essence of this dish.

I used to come here regularly but I have been away for a while. Sadly the food stsndard has deteriorated to the point that I am inclined to skip this restaurant in future. I ordered the Penang Laksa that turns out watery and the sardine pieces that I expected are missing.

I rarely finish my food and when i do, it means its really good! I wiped out the whole bowl of the penang assam laksa!! Its a perfect blend of spicy and sour! The sour taste is not sharp unlike some assam ive tried and its so tasty i had so much of the soup 😋 and dont get me started on the bbq platter! The sambal is sedap~~ wish the portion is bigger tho cos i feel $20 is a bit little 🤭 also complimentary tempura prawns but it was kinda normal. The desserts however was disappointing… ordered the hitam and cendol and they were not very good. Couldnt finish our desserts. Overall good place to come, highly recommend the assam items and sambal items.

We visited Penang Culture for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The restaurant is located at the basement level of the mall which is convenient but not very attractive. The interior of the restaurant is simple and bland with no distinctive features or decorations. The tables and chairs are plain and functional and the lighting is bright. The restaurant does not have much of a Penang vibe and it feels like any other casual dining place. However the food was a different story. We ordered a few dishes such as the nasi lemak, penang fried kway tiao and tahu goreng. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The food was served hot and fast, and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and authentic with rich flavors and spices. The nasi lemak was fragrant and fluffy with a crispy chicken wing, a hard-boiled egg, some cucumber slices, and a dollop of sambal. The fried kway tiao was spicy and savory while the tahu goreng was flavorful and satisfying. The dishes were well-balanced and complemented each other. We enjoyed our meal and left with full stomachs and happy smiles. Penang Culture NEX may not have the most appealing ambiance but it definitely has the most yummy food. If you are looking for a place to satisfy your cravings for Malaysian cuisine you should give it a try. You won't regret it.

I always come here for the Penang Fried Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee and curry chicken. Trying new dishes this time round. We ordered the Salted Egg Mantis Prawns, Mixed Vegetables, Nasi Lemak Rice and Chendol. The dishes were above average, quite delicious. However, the portion was rather small. Service is efficient. Ambience of the restaurant is not bad, there was light music in the background.

Shirley is a very attentive staff. She came to us as we were trying hard how to order n what to eat. She gives us her support in introducing some dishes. Shirley is patience with us and render her service without making any not happy mode. Good to have her to support customers who are not well verse in ordering. Keep it up Shirley.

Second time here and I know it’ll be my last time here. Ordered the Penang laksa and a whole chunk of veggie was included and out of sudden a cockroach crawled across our food on the dining table. Quickly alert the staff, his reply was, do you want to move for you your items or you move by yourself he asked, I was like… second, when paying told the cashier to be aware of that table and that area specifically, she replied: oh. Hope SFA will investigate this place.

🥘 Food & Taste: We ordered the fried penang kway teow, fried Hokkien noodles, fried squid and durian chendol. We were left very disappointed with their dishes especially penang kway teow, fried Hokkien noodles and fried squid. None of the noodle dishes had the iconic wok hei taste to them. It was very disappointing. Any foodcourt could have done these dishes better. The fried squid was more like some artificial squid paste on some over fried dough sticks but the menu did not state that so felt kinda cheated. The saving grace was the durian chendol which was very refreshing. 📍 Place: The environment was not bad since it is in a shopping mall and it was very crowded to the point that it is unbearable like the rest of the mall. 🤵🏻 Service: Average 💰 Price: Expensive for the lackluster standard 🐣Waiting Time: Food takes quite a while to be served but they were not especially hot 🤷🏻‍♀️

A decent place for Penang traditional food including char kway teow, kueh pie tee, rojak, etc. Easy to get seat and food ordering was made simple by QR code. Service was prompt.

If was peak hour need to wait for quite sometimes that’s only 2-3 staff working on the floor. They have a very nice cendol and ampla juice . The kuew teow a bit pricey but worth to try for me. Sadly the prawn paste chicken is overcooked. For the food we have been waited about 20-30 min after order due to peak hour but everything serve freshly after cook so its ok for me to wait. Will be there again to explore on other menu.
