Nice cosy cafe in a coffee shop style. On a weekend afternoon it was surprisingly not crowded. Prices are affordable. Ordered the nasi lemak set and it’s delicious. Service is good too. If I am in Changi General Hospital, I will come here to try other items.

Ordered the sugar butter set ($3.60). The soft boiled eggs yolk are near full cooked but still ok I like how it was so no complaints for that. I would expect the coffee and toast to be good given the name of stall. The coffee was light. Toast was disappointment. The butter was a small small piece on the middle. If need to find a place to wait for doctor call or appointment I would come here just order the coffee.

The 1983 coffee and toast stall here inside Changi General Hospital was originated from Malacca, Malaysia. Their specialty is Nasi Lemak (Fragrant Coconut Rice) Today’s weather is cool so i went for a 4.5 SGD soup. The macaroni is al dente. The meat serving is hefty, there’s shredded chicken and slices of fish cakes. The broth is salty. Its almost similar with a filipino dish “sopas”, the only ingredient lacking was evaporated milk. The venue is very nostalgic, marbled tables, and wooden chairs similar to the chinese movies i saw back in the Philippines. Will visit again and review.

Had the fried curry chicken rice set with coffee. Price is reasonable. Service is fast and effective. Food is alright. The rice is clumpy but doesn’t matter since it’s filled with curry sauce. Curry sauce is good but nothing special. Fried chicken is boneless and 3 fillets. Came with some ah char as well which helps to make it more palatable. Coffee is kopitiam style so your mileage may vary.

Food is so-so and service is terrible. Uncle preparing the noodles don't bother to listen to orders. You stand in the collection queue, he stare at you silently, face black, long and sour, stare and stare and stare, motionless, then suddenly jerk his chin at you, like a non-verbal, aggressive "si mi?", until you repeat your order then he start to prepare. I dare to ask for "more taugeh", kena scowled extra fierce; if I am milk, I will become yoghurt already. After kena pai lang glare, I sit down to eat, I realise my mee rebus got zero taugeh.

visited the cafe in October 2023 while attending a medical emergency. We were happy to see that families had gained a lot of convenience and that the service and food were good. The mee rabus was tasty, and you could also take cakes and bread to go. The payment process is streamlined, and credit cards are accepted.

Not many options at CGH. The coffee and food is fine if you managed your expectations. However I think management need to help to speed up the ordering process...is slow and a long q is form almost everytime I visit.

24 hours? I don't think so. Please change the signage as I was there at 430 am, and they were closed. False advertising

Very convenient place to sit and wait for your friends or relatives while they're being treated or examined at the Emergency department of Changi General Hospital.
