Virgin dinner visit to penang culture. Was spoilt by their extensive menu range and end up ordering these. All the dishes were above average and delicious no doubt. Experienced A hiccup where the chef missed our fish head order which we had waited for 30mins. Staffs were quick on their toes and provided service recovery. Kudos to the restaurant in providing an “inclusive” working environment for staffs.👍🏼

I never rate eateries based on value, wait time, service or attitude.. it's just about how much I enjoyed it. And this one really disappointed. Curry (chicken) was watery, the chicken pieces tasted like what you get from canned food, the char kuey teow seemed pre-cooked and just microwaved to serve (prawns were tenderized and rendered tasteless), nasi lemak did not make it though the chicken wing wasn't too bad, and the salted egg mantis prawns was not quite recognizable to what one gets in Penang. I feel that I've wasted calories.

Came here on a Wednesday lunch hour and was promptly seated by staffs. Food came out pretty quick upon ordering. Water is complimentary. 🍜 Penang Laksa came in rather large portions. Gravy was tangy and savory. Mackerel were quite generous too. I didn't like how broken and mushy the noodles were though. But sauce is addictive. I rate: 3/5 🌟 🦑 Cuttlefish Rojak was quite generous in cuttlefish portions. Nicely hydrated and not Fishy. I rate: 3/5 🌟 🐟 Claypot Fish Head was quite generous and large for $19. The fried yam sticks in this dish were so yummy oh my goodness!! This claypot sauce really needs to go with rice. Can feed 4 people. I rate: 4/5 🌟 🦐 Prawn crackers was quite addictive and makes a good appetiser and snack. I rate: 4/5 🌟

Pretty fuss free to order using QR code. Food didn’t take long to come after ordering. Food served was pretty good for the price though the oyster omelette has a slightly burnt aftertaste and we were not informed that the crackers offered was chargeable. Other than that, it was a good experience.

The food is really so so… flavour not so authentic, quite adjusted. The assam laksa lacks punch and was served luke warm. The Penang fried Kuay Teow lacks sweetness and soy sauce flavour. The rojak has dough fritters that is sooooooooo hard that you cannot pierce it with a fork. It needs to be picked up with chopsticks or scooped with a spoon. So I think the dough fritters is not fresh. Salted egg mantis prawn, it’s like a lot of batter.. flavour is great but I donohow much prawn there is cos we can’t see the prawn after biting it open. Hmm Overall, I won’t be back for for this price point and quality of food. Also I saw the staff actively approaching clients to give them review on google. Perhaps that’s why they have so many reviews.

Although there was no queue when visited on 18 June 2023 at opening time of 11 AM, there were already five groups of diners seated. Ordering was via the QR code printed for each table. Drinks came shortly after ordering, whilst the food took a little while longer to arrive. Had actually reserved a table via Oddle, but strangely staff informed they had no record of my booking. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

Had bad experience at this JEM outlet. My partner and I had the prawn fritters, sambal stingray, sambal kangkong and deep fried sweet n sour seabass. Firstly prawn fritter was super oily and overfried. We can taste that the oil used was old and they did not bother to drain the oil first before plating. Refer to photo for reference. Secondly, sambal stingray deserve a 0/10. Stingray used was old, meat was rubbery and sambal was seriously underwhelming. Not to mention they did not even bother to spread the sambal entirely on the stingray. Sambal kangkong was a little bit too salty but OK. Deep fried seabass was the best out the dishes we ordered but below average compared to other restaurants. Overall damage was about $60+. Totally disappointed with the quality of food served. We didnt have any issue with Penang Culture in terminal 1 outlet. Perhaps management should check with the kitchen crew and do some quality control.

Their BBQ Stingray More To Healthy Route. Not The Typical Hawker BBQ Stingray Which I Much Preferred , Here Lacked Charred Taste. The Rest Of Dishes Executed Quite Well.

Came on Sat late noon and seated promptly. Order via online and food arrived in total about 20 minutes for Assam Laksa and Prawn noodle. Was caught by surprised when this staff cleaning the table when we just finished. Was observing other staffs cleaned up the table after the diner left. There are still plenty of seats available which I found it weird why the staff came and no question ask just clean up...

The foods are just above average delicious. Anyway, it is a good place for those who want to enjoy the Penang's cuisine foods.

The build-your-own Kueh Pie Tee was good. And the Char Kway Teow has a good char on it too. The Sweet Sour fish and Cuttlefish Kang Kong were good too. Only disappointment was the Stingray. Not like at Newton Circus type. More of a healthy version

Average Penang fare. The most favourful is the char kway teow. Nicely stir-fried with good balance of oil, sauce and condiments. Order the king of chendol - MSW Pleasant environment. Best of all is server Jessica! She’s candid and responsive.

The belacan fried rice is not fried with belacan but served with belacan on the side? And bandung is way too sweet
