Small little eatery with an 80 year old history. Great nasi padang at reasonable prices, with super friendly service. It's such a happy ambience in the restaurant. The restaurant name means 'patiently wait' - good food takes time. Love it.

Went there for lunch at around 130pm. Some food already left to single portion. I guess it was the popular dishes of the lunch crowd. Had some sotong, tempe and brinjal. Food is good.

Nostalgia Nasi Padang Restaurant. The food was well cooked & nice. Very friendly staff. The owner offered free bowls of Bubur kacang. Recommended.

I was intrigued by its history of having been around since 1920s. Went for a Thursday lunch and the place was filled with office crowd. We ordered a 1 person portion each of Ayam Merah ($5) , Ikan Assam Pedas($5) , Sambal Udang($5), Spinach($5), 2 plates of rice($2) and a cup of Teh-C kosong ($1.50). The bill was $23.50. I asked 70ish Mak Cik who was seated at the cashier counter how much each item was and was very startled to hear that it was $5 for the spinach. I went back to the table and stared at the 1 person portion of spinach and felt it was too expensive for $5. Went to confirm with the young man who dished the spinach if the portion was indeed $5. He told me he didn't know the price. He said he would check and left . After going about his stuff for a while he went to check with an elderly Pak Cik. The Pak Cik came over to look at the portion and said he would check. He then left and went about his work. We waited for a bit and he did not come back to confirm. We checked the price list on the wall where vegetables were shown to be $1.00 to $1.50 for a portion. My lunch partner then decided to approach cashier Mak Cik. As he got to the counter Mak Cik took out $5 and returned it to my lunch partner. This experience did not leave a good impression at all. Ayam Merah was fragrant from the flavour of the onions and salty. Sambal Udang was fragrant too with the aromatic spices and salty. Ikan Assam was a big big disappointment lacking in aromatic flavour and super salty, tasted like salt water. Overall the cook can go light on the salt in every dish. If you are on a low salt diet or if you are mindful of your health stay away. I would not return or recommend this place.

Unassuming looking cozy restaurant on North Bridge Road with an old school ambiance. Traditional dishes like their tapioca leaves lemak reminds me of my childhood days. Quality of their food is worth the queue at lunch hour. Service is welcoming and exceptionally friendly. Merits a return soon.

First time trying out this place. Came for late lunch around 230 pm. Decent crowd, friendly staff and surprisingly affordable nasi padang; $4 for rice, cassava leaves and lungs. The lungs is also so tender... Will definitely come again...

It was an enjoyable meal. The tahu telor was excellent. Service wise can't ask for much, but here it's all about good herbaceous food and rich Indonesian sauces. Will definitely come back.

One thing about this place which I had noticed straight away - they know how to treat their customers well! The owner kindly introduced me to the signature beef rendang sold at Sabar Menanti. The beef was tender and I loved the sauce as well. Service was perfect and the food was scrumptious - I am definitely coming back again :)

I’m not going to argue about the taste of the food here. It’s legendaric, delicious and nostalgic. But the price I paid for it… I was GOOPED! $10.50 for a plate of rice with potatoes, sayur lodeh and sambal goreng pengantin? Ok, sure.

Had beef rendang (very small piece), sayur lodeh and one fried egg. Cost = S$10 Food is so-so but the price brought down the rating to a 2-star Ripoff place. Won’t visit again

This is an authentic Nasi Padang in Singapore. Not the best but one of the best. Price wise is quite similar to other establishment. Do not expect Nasi Padang to be cheap since it uses lots of spices and chilly which are not cheap.

Food was so good. The owner was so nice to us. He suggested the dishes to eat. We had grilled chicken curry, beef rendang, vegetable curry, potato cutlets. Everything was good and the price is cheap compared to overrated hawkers.
