Randomly decided to try a fish and chips and enjoy a beer at the western hawker. Happy to say the fish batter was pretty good. Crispy, while the fish inside was juicy and tasty. The chips were also worth a shout as they were properly thick and crunchy.

Ok this is about Texas lone star at Redhill outlet which it isn’t appearing in Google map. So I have to tap on this outlet to review. Y’all, pls don’t waste calories. The fish and chips is really bad. Pls spend your money at Long John Silver instead. This is really waste of food and waste of money.

Went to order order grilled chicken chop with mushroom cream@915pm today. Was about to tell the side preference but was stopped by the staff to wait 5 minutes. Thinking he is busy so I waited than he rings his bell and asked me to collect my food. Told him my side preference and was rudely told that I only left with fries and coleslaw you got no other choice. Left with deep regrets as I was serve much better by another staff previously who take the time to explain the menu and sides

I ate the fish and chips as recommended by the staff and the menu did mention its a best seller. The portion is good for $8.90. But the taste of the batter is a bit blend. More like the deep fried taste with oil and the fish is a bit tasteless too. Using the chilli sauce to cover the taste helps a bit. I ended up removing the batter and eating the fish inside only. The fries portion is not a lot but they taste alright. It's the good part of the fish and chips.
