If you are living anywhere near Bedok, this has to be a must-try. Perhaps even a regular. Tried to go at some irregular hour at 10:45 am and the queue is already quite long. Lontong and curry vegetables were sold out. This will clue u in on how good the stuff is here. The black sotong, beef rendang and chili eggs are my favorite. They are on food delivery as well so u can go that route if u want to avoid the queues. Best part is that pricing is super reasonable. It looks like a family run outfit and they are very friendly and communicative. Makes for a complete experience of good food, value and above all, a sense of community.

31 Aug 2022: Satisfying lunch from DESA RANCAPANGGUNG; delicious beef rending…soft and flavorful. Long queue but they are pretty fast, don't miss the sambal chilli…it’s packed with goodness. Will return to try some other yummy dishes!

Good Nasi Padang (Malay style mixed rice) good price. Came here on recommendation of Straits Times senior food writer. Good local taste of Malay cuisine good priced. Simple plate of rice with 4 dishes is $6.50. Beef rendang was tender and flavorful definitely cooked for a long time for the flavors to infuse into the meat. Sambal Goreng, staple dish of French beans, Tempeh, tau Kwa nicely fried in Sambal, flavorful and good texture. For those who like quail eggs, try their Sambal Quail eggs. Was there at around 11:15am and a long line had already formed. Some with do take aways, some will order 4 to 10 packets of food. Enjoyable and priced nicely.

A very long long Q but so much so for the very reasonable price but how come I'm still think is overpriced, rendang chicken at $3.00, plus potato n vegetables cost $5.00. yes is considered "cheap" amount the Muslim nasi pandan but not the cheapest n food wise also not the best... Really nothing to rave bout... Will not waste time Q unless there is no Q... Mee Siam/ mee robus at $3.00 (price increase to $3.50) n don't taste good, even a little salty, not the cheapest also, bedok Central hawker centre only sell at $2.50 n so far personally think one of the best mee robus in town already... (Edit on 17Apr 2022 ramadan time) no Q n this time round will reduce to 1 star, as I saw the guys "teasing" among themselves bout a "fam guy with long hair in the Q, during Ramadan isn't u are suppose to be "holy"!!! N one fish (stingray) n two Vege at $6.00!!! Really , what the rave bout the "reasonable price"... Opposite 3M in yishun, there a Malay store selling one meat two Vege at $3.50 (set price) including stingray if u wondering... N again taste wise is just normal, really, not fantastic at all ... Why the Q!?!?!?!?

Best to stick to the set meals, they are very worth it. In fact i got more items at a cheaper price than my friend who ordered ala carte. Very nice food too. Most recommended.

Reasonably priced, (rendang, clams, and bitter gourd) for $6.50 only. There is usually a queue and you may have to queue for about 10-15 mins, but it’s so so good.

When we got there at noon, many items were not available (mee rebus, nasi lemak etc). In the end we got a fish and redang. Fish was dry and the redang was not as tender as I would have expected. Total cost was about $6.50 which was fairly normal. Long Q so be prepared to wait.

Wanted to try their Nasi Lemak but it's already sold out past 9 am. Tried the Mee Siam and Lontong at $3.80 each. The Mee Siam is quite spicy but not really outstanding with basically just only mee hoon, small pieces of tau pok and one hard boiled egg in the bowl. If you like vegetables such as cabbage and long beans, then try their lontong which I feel is more value for money. It's not too spicy and the bowl is full of vegetables. Does anyone know what time their Nasi Lemak usually sells out? You can also order caifan style from their spread of plain rice, eggs, vegetables, fish and meat etc. Take note the prices of fish and meat are $3 and above.
