Sakunthala’s Restaurant is well-known for its Fusion Cuisine with Signature range of South Indian, North Indian & Chinese dishes with best aromatic flavours of its natural ingredients. Sakunthala’s Restaurant - is named after the Owner’s Mother. The ambience and their service is so good, along with flavours from the food cooked with specially handpicked aromatic spices. You can find a unique and wonderful experience with your friends and family and that experience, you will never forget!!

A true and authentic Indian Cursine restaurant that offers a wide variety of delicious flavoured and values for money for its large serving of food for many of their patrons. This outlet located very near to the well known 24-hours shopping mall have both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements for its diners. Have the opportunity to visit here with colleague after some overtime at work for a hearty and valuable meals.

A wide range of choices including North Indian , South Indian and Local cuisine. One big plus point is it is open till morning 1-2 AM and provides some comfort food after a late night Mustafa trip or if you are craving for Indian food in ungodly hours ! Both vegetarian and non vegetarian choices are adequate, and value for money ! Always crowded!

Excellent South Indian Food Restaurant that serves a wide variety of Chicken, Mutton, Seafood and Vegetable Dishes. You can have Pratas, Naans, Chapatis, Briyani or White Rice to go along with their tasty dishes. Good range of Hot and Cold Drinks and Desserts are also available to finish your meals on a sweet note. Enjoy! 👍😋😊

One of the best South Indian (Tamil) chain of restaurants in Little India. Nominal price, worth for the money paid (both in terms of quality and quantity) . Service is great and Ambience is good. Just opposite to Mustafa centre. Fish meals is good and fish head kulambu is must try.

Food is always amazing here ! I truly love the Fish Head Curry and the briyani ! But with regards to the cleanliness of the restaurant and the crew, I strongly suggest the management to seriously improve on that. I was pretty disturbed by the bad body odour from the serving crew. And the cleaning cloth used by the crew to clean or wipe the table also left a stinging bad smell. It is horrible and a major turn off honestly. Please improve on cleanliness ok ! Cheers !

The dishes here is incredible! Got the Chicken biryani, Fish Biryani and Egg Bonda. All of it exceeded my expectations. Wanted to get the Fish head Curry, but we were worried it might be too big for 2 people.

Best nye! Service is quick and friendly. Always get my order right. The food is top notch and fresh. Can confirm clean too. Price is very reasonable. There are many worthy Indian/Pakistan restaurants in this area, but Sakunthala is my favourite when I’m with the family.

You will be spoilt for choice when you are here. After mins of thinking,we decided to go with Mutton meal comes with plain rice, flavourful tender mutton curry & vegetables And also keema naan, indian bread spread with minced meat. The indian samosa is a must try! Crispy flaky pastry packed filled with spiced & savoury potato. Super love it! For dessert, we tried the gulab jamun - like a fried ball of a dough soaked with an aromatic syrup, sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. They have good & friendly server too , who know their dishes well and are more than happy to give their recommendation. Thou ,it's a busy Sunday but service is fast & great. Plus point they have outdoor & indoor air-conditioning dining, which is great & save our lives from the hot and humid weather.😅

Mutton biryani is far from the best, paneer makhani and naans? I've tasted better. Chicken 65 was alright, Gobi Manchurian was disappointing (last night).. fried mee goreng was not what I'm used to.. but somehow when they all come together in one setting.. I love it. That's why I'm back all the time! :-)

Sakunthala's Restaurant at the Syed Alwi outlet is an absolute culinary gem that never fails to impress. From the first time I dined here to my most recent visit, this restaurant consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience that deserves every one of its five stars. The hallmark of Sakunthala's is undoubtedly its exquisite South Indian cuisine. The flavors are rich, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. Whether you're a fan of the dosas, biryanis, or their mouthwatering selection of curries, each dish is a testament to their commitment to quality and taste. What sets this outlet apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are not just attentive but genuinely hospitable, making you feel like a valued guest every time you visit. They're more than happy to provide recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of delightful. The Syed Alwi outlet boasts a lovely and cozy ambiance, perfect for intimate dinners, family gatherings, or even solo dining. It strikes a balance between a traditional setting and modern comfort, creating a space where you can savor your meal and enjoy the company you're with. One of the standout features of Sakunthala's is its vegetarian menu. As a vegetarian myself, I appreciate the extensive selection of meat-free options that are equally flavorful and satisfying. It's a testament to their inclusivity and dedication to catering to diverse palates. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Whether you're on a budget or looking to indulge, you'll find options that suit your preferences without compromising on taste or portion size. In conclusion, Sakunthala's Restaurant at the Syed Alwi outlet is a culinary treasure. The delectable South Indian cuisine, warm hospitality, inviting ambiance, and affordability make it a standout dining destination. If you're in search of a restaurant that consistently exceeds expectations, look no further than Sakunthala's Syed Alwi outlet. It's a five-star experience through and through.

Shakunthala restaurant used to be good in every way but this one we went to in Syed Alwi road was full of flies, and the hygiene levels were pretty low. The outlet itself was shabby. You should see the wash basin area with the hand blower machine. It’s so worn out and black in colour. I think health officials should check this place out. I’m never going to come back here again!

The restaurant's freshly cooked Biryani and Butter Chicken were delicious, offering rich flavors that left a lasting impression. However, the service could use improvement, as it did not match the quality of the food. Despite this, the culinary experience made it a worthwhile visit.

After Covid19 I again visited the restaurant. I ordered seafood fried rice, ice cream banana split and tea and tea Masala. The amount of sugar at both tea and tea Masala was too much..very hard to drink. The seafood fried rice was normal rice with few one ot two small prawns and few cuttlefish. Nothing else. Although the price are reasonable as its a restaurant I don't much complain. The ice cream are normal not so special. I excepted the restaurant will be much better of the food from hawker centre well I am disappointed. The name covers a famous name but the food are not. They had to improve.
