We book the table on Friday night for the birthday celebration after the covid19 measure further relaxed in Apr2022, the best time slot we can get is 5:30pm... All slots at 7pm are fully booked. We love the salmon fillet as the fillet is fried to just make while skin is very crispy and the fillet itself is still tender and juicy. While I told the staff we are here to celebrate the birthday, they help us deco the cake and put the candle on them, very sweet. No need to mention the environment is awesome as it is located inside the botanic garden so we are actually surrounded by lots of green, just remember to request the outdoor table

The Halia restaurant has a nice ambience and beautiful surroundings. I came with three other friends on a Sunday afternoon. Though the weather is scorching hot, I didn't sweat while dining at the restaurant. There are plenty of fans and there are also blinds which helps in reducing the restaurant temperature. The overall service is good, and the food is delicious. Though it's full house at that time, crews still managed to provide a good service. Reservations are strongly recommended for The Halia. You also cannot stay too long in the restaurant as you need to give ways to other customers who already do the bookings. Staff is polite when she reminded us when customers are waiting. I don't mind coming back again if I want to dine in nature.

Cosy place with really, really hospitable service staff. They were helpful and went out of their way to help out with even the smallest of things (one staff noticed that our table stopped looking at the table ordering menus but hadn’t yet placed our order with the table ordering system, so she suggested that we double check if we had indeed placed our order, and lo and behold we mistakenly hadn’t!). Food was either a hit or miss at times. Can’t say this met my expectations given the high ratings and reviews that led us here. But the vanilla ice cream was pleasant, a nice surprise given that the menu had a lot more to look forward to beyond it. Ambience was also a bit dim, strangely. The air conditioning was oddly low on a rainy day, which made it hard to stay peppy whilst under dimly lit lights with no accompanying music. Walking away from here feeling that The Halia’s probably good for daytime brunches with regulars who stroll through the gardens, but not so much a destination for others who have options elsewhere.

Have been wanting to try out The Halia for a looooong time and finally came over on a weekday dinner. The food tasted great and flavors were very special. There was a rather big grain of sand from the octopus which I bite into though. The truffle fries were super yummy but more than halfway through we spotted a strand of hair embedded inside the fries (did not try to pull it out of course...) and they did do a good service recovery by replacing the fries and also waiving off the fries from the bill. The ambience was great and I would come back again next time probably during brunch.

We had light eats here - cheeses, truffle fries, avocado on toast and such. Very nicely presented and tasty too. The ambience is the best part of this restaurant. You are surrounded by plants and it feels like you are inside a forest! The atmosphere is warm, with good decor.

The food here is fantastic. They are masters with flavour and use of herbs. It’s so in line with the whole experience of dining in the Botanical Gardens. For starters, the Octopus and duck are a must try. For Mains, get the scallops (they come with Barramundi). Both are great and served with beautiful balsamic vinegar (not the supermarket kind).

lovely experience dining at the Halia! From service to food, everything exceeded my expectations. Though my company of 4 were seated outside, none of us got a single mosquito bite. We loved duck, chilli crab spaghetti and salmon. Portion was surprisingly large! Every dish was pleasantly nice. We loved it here, will highly recommend everyone to try after a walk in botanic gardens 😊

The food was average at best. Really nothing to shout about. The service was good tho. We got some cakes to try out. And they deducted one of the cake because it's a birthday event. So that was nice of them. We got the jug of iced peach tea. It's not that big to be honest. I could finish it on my own. The chilli crab pasta was average. Could probably get it somewhere else at a better price. The black pepper glazed beef cheek was the best thing we had so far. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Halia. The service was fantastic (I believe our server's name was Malek). Most of the food was amazing. The smoked duck appetizer, akaroa salmon and purple sweet potato cake were incredible. We were quite disappointed with the chilli crab spaghetti though ... it seemed much more like a plain tomato spaghetti and we didn't notice or taste any crab in the dish at all. In retrospect, we should have brought it up because something may have been missed, as it really seemed incorrect. Nonetheless, overall, we would definitely go again.

I went with my partner for a date night and was quite excited to try due to the location and design of the restaurant ..but unfortunately very basic food which was presented like fine dining. The steak was served dry and raw which when we complained was taken back, warmed and served back. 18$ truffle fries were soggy and salty. We paid like 250$ for 3 dishes and dessert.

A romantic place for lovers. Surrounded by nature and good food. There's nothing to not like here. Amidst lush greenery and pristine forest air, it's truly "Love's in the air". You can't help falling in love after this. Finish the meal with a kiss 💋 to seal in the memories. ❤️. By the way, menu is also halal.. 😊

I love their foods, service and the ambience. All waiters very nice and always smile. And of course The Halia serve halal food. Oh, you have to order Truffle Fries. The best fries ever!

The wagu beef is great! Try the tomahawk! The scallops are nice too! The octopus is great! The lamp chop is great! The artichoke is great! So is the cheese plate! The roasted asparagus is great too! So is their truffles fries! Nice drinks selection! Try their chocolate tart! It has a great ginger flower aftertaste! Try their yuzu cake it goes so well with the chocolate mousse! Their sweet potato dessert is great too! Great ambience, dinning in the middle of Botanic Gardens, it gets pretty romantic even when it rains!

It was a work dinner where we pre ordered the items of the set menus. I had the Wagyu rump steak which was really good, no gamey taste and very juicy. Dessert was Valrhona chocolate tart which was so sinfully good, very chocolatey. The Halia also served complimentary matcha and banana chocolate macaroons. The place was very nice, covered with greenery. Service was great, staffs were attentive and food was served timely spaced out. Not a place that’s very accessible unless you drive or take a hired ride. If you don’t drive, it’s a little hard to get a ride out.

Nice halal food. The presentation was good and taste was good as well. Good atmosphere within botanical gardens. Interesting drinks with good choices but no alcohol. I had wagyu steak and it was well prepared.

Came on a weekday lunch, not too packed. The food presentation made the food look really sumptuous! The food was good too! The chicken were not dry, the fish was so well done, not too dry too and the zest made the dish so refreshing. The desserts were fantastic! Especially love the yuzu dessert The only thing is the price is one the more expensive side. But for special occasion, worth trying

A great place to go to for special occasions. (We came with a family friend who was visiting SG for the week.) Surrounded by lush greenery, food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Special shout out to Monica for answering our 101 questions - recommending us the most loveliest food and resolving any concerns we had. My John Dory was a tad over. Brought this up to Monica and she came back with 2 pieces of moist, juicy and well seasoned fish. The scallops were divine. So was the octopus. Salmon was cooked to perfection. If you love your vegetables, they definitely did justice to their greens. The broccolini and artichoke dishes were well executed. All in all, a great and memorable meal!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time in Halia. Food was amazing, ambiance outside is good too. Don't worry, they installed repellent so no mosquito will disturb you even though you're surrounded by greens.

Food - Excellent (paper bag halibut with noodles, truffle fries & chilli crab burger) Ambience - Excellent (came just before 3pm - no one was around!) Service - Wonderful ("Amma" we affectionately addressed her was wonderful and attentive. Her cheery smile and wonderful nature was such a joy this afternoon. Thank you Amma!)
