Had the customised little sans sushi, nice ingredients options, can mix and match to own preference. Is good to have healthy brown rice option, but the brown rice feel alittle uncooked. Nice box packaging for the takeaway, can be quite filling even for small sans.

My XP with Maki-San has always been good despite the rather scary review of rotten food at the Bedok outlet. First time I ate their food was actually from the Grab app as I didn't know there were outlets in the East side of SG, and there was a discount for the delivery app. Sadly the one at Parkway Parade closed down. Anyways, that's too long of an intro, so I'm gonna talk about the one at The Cathay. The deco is ....lol. Funky to say the least but I like it. Very animes much wow. The furnie looks cheap but they're functional enough and were mostly clean when I was there. Cleaner than most fastfood joints anyway. The food... I forgot what salad bowl I picked but it was a pre-set one with smoked salmon innit. And the smoked salmon was delish and mixed well with all the other ingredients, with a variety of sauces to choose from. Only thing i hate about it was the price. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great value for money just because of its taste, but it's not very filling. Not even the "Mega"/larger version of it, and that cost a little over 11 SGD I think? Really need to spend a few dollars more for the set meal, with deep-fried shrooms to fill up my stomache for lunch. It's just not something I could afford to eat every day or so, and the location is not near my home. TLDR: Tastes excellent for the price. Not a budget meal for sure, but cheaper than most sushi and salad places. The deco is.... truly for MEN OF CULTURE (or women, persons, etc etc).

Went to pick up my foodpanda order which was long overdue. Shop looks empty from the outside. After 20 mins of standing outside, staff was sitting down under the counter not sure doing what. If you dont wish to do the orders from foodpanda kindly stop partnering and stop wasting peoples precious time.

Ordered pick up on foodpanda and i got a huge sale from makisan which include one long roll of sushi and 3 chicken tempura sticks plus one canned drink, extremely value for money but if no sale then really expensive. Must order avocado, tempura enoki mushroom, egg in your sushi. Sometime i see it already open at 11:00 am

My go-to place after gymming upstairs in Cathay. Fast service, tasty sushi and quite a decent place to hang out. The Mega-San is suitable for an empty stomach but for me, I usually add a few other things like the chicken strips. Not too crowded during lunch - people seem to like to take away or eat it during their trip back to class/ office/ transport. Service pretty ok; during covid they were quite strict on what you can/ cannot do. Recommended!
