This place not only serves great food, but it also serves one of the best human touch in town. We got a wrong dish and makcik was so accommodating that she swapped it for us (right before the payment) with a bright smile. The casher and everyone else who worked there never failed to greet and asked us to enjoy our meal there, even when they just passed us by on the stairs. I may forget how the food taste like tomorrow, but I'll never forget the warmth that people there showed to their customers. This is how any business should be run! 👍

Passed by this place for years and always wondered what the queue is about. I understand now! First, it's air-conditioned to stay cool despite the spicy food 😂. Next, the varieties are crazy. There are probably 50 different kind of dishes to choose from. Talking about spoilt for choices. Lastly, the flavours are as good as its prices. As the saying goes, cheap and good! Very good especially with the sambal chilli. I'll be back 👍🏼

Finally got the chance to try this and it didnt disappoint! Sambal Sotong - Very spicy. Watch out if your tolerance level is low! It tastes more like cuttlefish texture. Not to my liking but it isnt a poor dish. Stingray - The sweet sauce drenched over the stingyray is very delicious. The stingray was plump and full of meat. Very fresh! Must get! Very very affordable. Petai and Ikan Bilis - Petai is quite raw. If u like ur petai crunchy, this is it. Added a Bergedil which was standard. Sambal Brinjal - Plump juicy brinjal. Loved this this! Beef Rendang - Very flavourful but the meat was a little tough. Perhaps it was just the part i got. Not too sure. But would be alot more enjoyable if it was more tender. Tempei and Long Beans - Standard indonesian food dish. Cooked well with some heat! Overall, its definitely value for money. The choices of dishes are aplenty. So many that you’ll be overwhelmed if you have not been there before. Would definitely return when I have Muslim food craving!

Great food, one of the best places for Malay food. You'll have to queue most of the time to enter buy the queues move fast so you won't water much time. The service is decent and they will bring your food to your table once prepared. Unfortunately some popular dishes like the tahu telur sells out fast so you might have to wait for it to be replenished.

Not knowing their names but the usual this and that, the food are flavourful and really yummy. I fell in love with tahu telur ever since I had it at Jakarta. I am happy to be able to find it here for the same old taste.

Went the the outlet at Geylang Serai. We were a bit confused initially as there were 2 entrances/exits. Recommended to split up such that some look for seats and some queue to order as the queue was rather long. Food wise, it is definitely worth the trip down. It was affordable, delicious and the service was great despite the crowd. There were 2 staff at the cashier who will help you to bring the food to your seats. We will definitely return to try other dishes on the menu!

Snaking long queues for the food with a little madness for weekend ordering, ample seating on 2nd floor. Had the tauhu telur, sotong, Ayam baker, sambal goreng. Hits all the right spots for comfort food for Singaporeans. Efficient service.

The Nasi Sambal Goreng set and Ayam Goreng rocks! Nasi Padang don’t get much better than this in my opinion. Every dish served was delicious and flavorful. Lovely sambal belacan. Overall shiok. But the Goreng Pisang dough too thick and hard not delicate crispy.

Tahu goreng only available after 11:30. Surprisingly the black chilli source is warm/panas. The dish taste like Chinese Zhu Cha dish. The beef rendang and sambal chilli is the best. Improvement opportunities: Set Menu would improve the order time.

Really good Nasi Padang available in Joo Chiat. Must try > flavorful mixture of spices and herbs - Ayam Goreng Bumbu. (Signature Fried Chicken) Remember to ask for extra “Serundeng”(spiced, toasted grated coconut - a popular Javanese side dish) goes well with jasmine rice. Its sooo good! Comfortable, Air condition with 2 levels of dining areas. If unable to manage stairs up, do ask them to direct you to the elevator next door.
