Authentic Nasi Padang! Rich spiced dishes that satisfy my palate. The establishment that was once Sari Ratu is now taken over by Putra Minang. It continues bring the flavours of authentic Nasi Padang closer to hearts of those who cherish the traditional taste. I used to go to their Bencoolen outlet. I’m so happy that they are in Lucky Plaza now.

The restaurant offered a delightful experience of Indonesian cuisine, with a focus on Nasi Padang, a culinary tradition that celebrates an array of flavorful dishes served with white rice. In the picture, I captured a beautifully presented Nasi Padang dish. A bed of steamed white rice took center stage, impeccably cooked and ready to be paired with an assortment of delectable side dishes. Here’s a description of the elements in the photo: 1. White Rice: The steamed white rice served at Putra Minang was fluffy and perfectly cooked, making it an ideal canvas to absorb the flavorful gravies and spices of the accompanying dishes. 2. Tahu (Tofu): The Tahu, or tofu, on the plate was impeccably fried to a golden crisp on the outside, offering a delightful contrast in texture to the other components. Its mild flavor provided a balance to the spicier elements of the meal. 3. Sambal Udang Petai: Adjacent to the tofu, a vibrant and spicy Sambal Udang Petai dish was featured. The prawns were cooked to perfection, and the petai beans, though pungent in aroma, added a unique and bold flavor profile to the dish. The sambal sauce was fiery and tangy, marrying the flavors harmoniously. 4. Beef Rendang: The Beef Rendang was a true highlight of the meal. Nestled beside the rice, the beef was incredibly tender, having absorbed the rich and aromatic spices of the rendang sauce. The sauce itself was a masterpiece, a balance of creamy coconut milk and a medley of spices that created a symphony of flavors, with just the right level of spiciness. The presentation of this Nasi Padang dish was not only appetizing but also a reflection of the culinary excellence that Putra Minang offered. Each component was thoughtfully prepared and came together to create a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The restaurant’s commitment to traditional Indonesian flavors and the quality of its dishes were evident in this snapshot, making it a must-visit destination for lovers of Nasi Padang cuisine in Lucky Plaza, Singapore.

Food is alright. Ordered a plate 2 vege 1 meat. That one piece of chicken rendang cost $5.80 on itself, which was dry and hard. The vege are cooked well. This plate cost $10.40 for me. $3.80 for two vege. Don't think it's worth visiting again
