One of the best burgers I’ve had in Singapore! Had the cheeseburger and chicken burger and it was cooked to perfection. Understandable that the queue is very long as that is what you get when the food is good. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try it!

Went on Sunday and crowd started even before 530pm. Feels competitive as a customer. Not sure if weekday will be better. Food serving time is adequate as the food needs to be grill/rest/fried. Food is served to your table. Feels better if there's a buzzer or number system so it will be a self collect system. Was actually looking forward to their grilled crab but not available on the day. Steak is good for the price paid, $19, with salt flakes. Comes with fries and salad. Chicken burger is tender but the sauce is overwhelming. Feels a little gelat after eating. Brownies with ice cream is great! Not too sweet yet rich in flavor. Overall, if you have the time and want to adventure new dining place, why not try this out?

It’s like bringing restaurant worthy food into a hawker setting which is pretty refreshing. The steak was delicious and the sauce was amazing! Went there on a sunday evening, long queue was expected and by the time it got to our turn many items were sold out. Quality of the food was great no doubt! Just the waiting time and managing the crowd to avoid disappointment after queuing for some time could be improved.

The chicken burger is very good, chicken was cooked to perfection with the tangy sauce. Chips is similar to McD type os v good too. The steak was ok but abit salty. Good value and good taste. There’s a queue before the 5:30pm opening with avg waiting time from queue to receiving food is 40-50mins! We’ll long waiting time always means good food that take care to prepare :)

Operated by youngsters. Queue was pretty long and some dishes were no longer available when it is our turn to make order. One of the steak was over cooked but staff offered a complimentary one apologetically. We did not even make a complain or feedback. Thumbs up!

Situated at a hawker center with really juicy burgers and nice steaks. I was there on a Sunday night and most shops in the hawker are closed so the ambience is actually not too bad. Service is impeccable for a hawker stall. Well staffed and very good manners. I saw a table with quite unreasonable customers but the staff was very calm and really aimed to please the couple. My only complain - the 210g beef looks underweight. Otherwise all good.

I follow a handful of people myself who I think provide thoughtful reviews of the kinds of places that interest me, and this is what led me to try BLACKGOAT. We came on a weekend about half an hour after they opened. My advice is that you get there at opening or earlier. By the time we arrived, there was already a queue and it took a full hour for us to order and get our food. Was it worth it? Yes and no. The burger was quite tasty, though the some might find the quantity of caramelized onions to be a bit much. We liked it. The steaks were decent but nothing spectacular. I’d say they were slightly overcooked, though they do use a meat thermometer to test for doneness. The one in the photo is supposed to be medium rare. I’d say that’s medium. The seasoning was light so you could really taste the meat and it was nice. We opted for the strip loin based purely on the size available. Normally, I’d make a ribeye at home as I like my meat a bit fattier, but we were sharing a bunch of dishes, so we went for a smaller cut. Fries are pre-cut frozen from a bag. Nothing special there. The salad was decent and fresh. The cheesecake was rather nice and sold out while we were there. Reviews are mixed on the pepper topping but all of us liked it. They also came to the table and freshly grated cheese over it, which was a surprising touch. Service is friendly and professional. These guys are working hard and manage to keep a welcoming smile. Prices are reasonable for the quality of what you’re getting compared to what you’d pay in a restaurant, but this isn’t a restaurant. It’s a hawker stall and that’s my worry. The operation is so small and labor intensive for the volume that they’re able to do, that I wonder if it’s sustainable. As much as I enjoyed the meal and found the value proposition to be decent, I wouldn’t queue and wait an hour for it. If I could get there early and get my food within, say, 20 minutes of arrival, that would work. I would like to go back and try the chicken sandwich. It looked amazing. And they didn’t have the katsu sandwich the day we were there, but I’d like to try that, too, as it looks great in others’ pics. I feel like katsu sandwiches (please don’t call them ‘sandos’) are a bit of a fad in Singapore the past few years, and most of them are grossly overpriced and ultimately disappointing, but these do look good and I’d like to give it a try. Will I go back? Probably, but I’ll time it better next time.

😀/🥹 Can you bear to be earlier than when they open? Then this place is for you! Great cheeseburger, ribeye needed more salt but you don’t get a charcoal grilled steak at these prices. Chicken burger was decent.
