$19 for a cheese baked fusilli and ice lemon tea. Menu indicated NSF will get free ice lemon tea but not written in the T&Cs that it’s not available on weekends. Came on Saturday after bookout because as a NSF I stay in camp from Mon-Fri. What’s the purpose of a NSF discount if I can’t use it on the weekends? Next, wanted to order fusilli but restaurant says that fusilli is out of stock. Had to settle for spaghetti option. Food came dry and sauce was nonexistent. Next, wanted to order Japanese Curry as my sauce. Similarly, was also told that it’s also sold out. Had to choose another option. Therefore wanted to choose the all-day specials promotion displayed at the counter (Seafood Laksa Cheese Baked Rice). AGAIN, was told that it’s not available today, only on Monday. If it’s not available today, there was no indication that the promotion will only start in 3 days. Signage should be removed if said dish is not available. Next, black stickers were stuck on all the menus. Not sure what’s left to eat or drink at this restaurant. Is it closing down? Next, ordered Iced Lemon Tea as a drink, but drink came without lemon. When asked for lemon, was told the menu is in the midst of a revamp and there is no ice lemon tea, only iced tea. Inter rater reliability on Google Reviews also shows that the quality check of this particular 18 Chefs outlet is horrendous and the quality of the food and service has dropped significantly over the years. Highly discourage from consuming your meals here.

I didn't believe it when my friends told me 18 Chefs haven't stayed true to their standards and fell off, but I was forced to eat my words. Just look at how much curry came with the curry cheese baked rice. I was basically eating cheese rice. Please portion your sauce appropriately, put some care into making your dishes.

My phone made it look good. In reality fries was soggy, salad just couple of lettuce with a sauce and the fish batter was dislodge from the fish as if it was fried separately and just put over the fish. Not sure if chips and fish was re -fried. I would not serve the fish if were the chef.

Service is a little bit slow. Lack of manpower. Not in the photo is the hot tea. Don't order the hot tea 🍵 as it is too small. The glass should be bigger a bit. The food is so so. The Banana Mango Smoothie 🥤 is good as it didn't contain sugar, so originally the taste of the fruits with ice shave. The aglio olio prawn 🦐 was nice too. My DIY pasta is perfect but the meat🥩 is too little which I count, it only has 4 slices. The Eighteen Funky Salad was not that funky, better to order ceaser salad. If you want the parmesan cheese or pepper🧂 or sauces, have to request from the waiter. At the price, which original seems ok, but when food came, it’s very disappointing. Medium beef is so tough like well done. The fried rice is so oily it’s like rice confit. Never going to come back again.
