The rice is still good as ever. Very fragrant. Bought 2 sets. Fried chicken and one mutton. For those who cannot take strong mutton taste may want to give a miss. The mutton is tender and the sauce is good

One of the best Nasi Lemak around. Fortunately I am nearby so I can try it once again. Unlike other nasi Lemak stores, The chicken wing and fish fillet was served hot and crispy. This is probably due to the fast turn over of their food. The queue was short and the waiting time is about 5mins. Their chili is also worth mentioning. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again if there is a chance.

It was my birthday and all that I wanted was my fav Nasi lemak and a hot glass of teh halia. Where else if not Boon Lay Power of course. However the past few times I was there the food was rather underwhelming. It was not bad just not as good I suppose. So this time round I went with no expectations. Just wanted to satisfy the cravings. Reached around 8pm so that's kinda early for then but almost all the shelves were full of dishes. And the queue wasn't that long either. We ordered the 2 fish set plus additional rendang for my buddy and fried paru and begedil for myself. Total damage, $14.50 leh. Now that's a good deal! The generous amount of sambal served on a warm fragrant bed of coconut rice just makes it more mouth watering. I dug in without a 2nd thought and really enjoyed it. How to even better this meal? Of course with a hot glass of teh halia tarik. Slurp Slurp Slurp. The verdict, something must have happened and they have totally upped their ante. Much better food, much better portion, must better taste, really it is much much better. They are by far, MUCH better then the other nasi lemak outlet and that's my strong opinion. Only thing would be that the frontline staff can be a bit more welcoming. I understand the exhaustion of working in F&B but that welcoming feeling helps a lot and they had this years back but which is now slightly lacking. All in all, confirm plus chop will be back there again, no doubt about it! Food : 4.5 / 5 Staff : 3.5 / 4 Ambience: 4 / 5

Was craving for the nasi lemak but seem like standards could have dropped..it used to be better and with fresher ingredients. Still rice was lemak enough and you can use your CDC vouchers! If you are looking for a nostalgic old hawker centre with some pockets of authentic hawker food can drop by!

Ordered the Chicken Set ($4) for takeaway and only managed to eat it almost half a day later. The rice and chilli is amazing, I finally understand why this place is so popular! Chicken is alright, and the egg yolk was cooked to a nice jammy consistency. 10/10 will come back!

One of best nasi lemak. Fragrant rice and delicious chilli. Fried chicken is normal. Waiting time could be long, would not go for it if q is too long.

the Nasi Lemak was alright - it wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worst either. we did find the sambal that came with it really good, and the chicken as a side .. was actually the best surprise for us cos it was really really good.

Power Nasi Lemak.. powerful punch of sambal and powerful crunchiness chicken wing that is flavoursome too. Despite the current unpredictable weather, customers who are craving for this powerful nasi lemak remain undeterred and patiently queue for their turn. Wide selection for customers to mix it, try it & love it!

So so only nothing fantastic. There is no fragrance in the rice. The fried chicken wing has a refried oil taste. With such a long queue, I thought it must be delicious.

Update on Sunday, 26 November 2023. Queued for less than 10 mins (5pm on a quiet Sunday) and bought 2 packets of the Chicken Wing set nasi lemak at $4 per packet, plus 1 extra otah $1.50 each. Fragrant coconut rice. Chicken wing is nothing to rave, and sambal chilli is a tag too sweet for my liking ! I prefer spicy or mild spicy sambal but not sweet sambal... and cucumber missing ? For takeaway, i have to ask the Aunty for a plastic bag and pack myself.. self-service takeaway now ?

Bought the chicken set which costs $4. It’s a decent packet of nasi lemak overall. Chicken wing is crispy but not well marinated. Sambal was nice. Peanuts were ok and there are more peanuts than ikan bills. The rice was decent but can be better. Service was fast. Used cdc to pay for it. If crave for nasi lemak in the evening, there’s at least a place to buy

The combo set was quite delightful. Chicken wing was crispy & meaty. Fish and fried potato was flavourful. Quite a hearty meal with the sambal chili.

Very long queue but they are very quick with preparation so the queue moves pretty quickly. Menu is straightforward with 5 sets very reasonably priced and portioned. Rice is very fragrant and chicken wings are freshly fried since the queue is never ending. Sambal sauce that comes with it is superb. Sweet with spicy tang.

Good balance between price, quantity and quality for the standard sets. However the add-ons are pricey e.g additional chicken wing or vegetables. So stick with the standard. Overall above average with the sambal being the winner here. Chicken is fried well and crispy on the outside but the seasoning did not penetrate to the insides enough. I agree with some reviewers that the rice is not as lemak. I love the fried peanuts. Friendly cheery service 👍 Boon Lay hawker center is in need of improvement works and too many birds causing nuisance.

Was a little surprised by the recent negative reviews as this used to be a pretty solid nasi lemak place. Paid a visit last week and was really disappointed by the huge drop in standards. The others were right, it's now just like normal nasi lemak. Definitely would not recommend travelling all the way there to buy, I think it's still quite affordable but not very delicious.
