Fuss free eats right at the basement of sembawang shopping mall. Scan in, order n pay at counter, food brought to you. Ordered 2 dishes and a soup. Loved the petai chicken curry. The curry fish rice is overly salty, hence only ate the fish and rice. The gravy is salty. The watercress soup is not oily like some other places. Tasted great. Overall good, although a little ex, but think considering the rising food prices, acceptable.

it was not crowded so thought the quality or the price is not good with this place. However, the google review shows 4.2 stars! and my in-laws sing praises for it. So give it a try. Wow! The dishes are very special, tasty and economical! First of all, there is a free flow of a very nice spicy sambal. It is the belacan style but the flavor is not totally powered by the belacan. Finds that the belacan is on the lighter side but the chef has put other spices or condiments to it that make it very tasty. We had the set meals. Which comes to about $25 to 30 dollars per set for 3 dishes. Each set is enough for 3 persons. Very worth it. Double Prosperity (dual style of baby kai lan). It is stir fried baby kai lan and deep fried shreded baby kai lan. The deep fried baby kai lan is very crispy and taste fresh in your mouth. A must have dish! Garlic Lala They added Kerisik (Fried Coconut Paste) to the sauce and it brings the dish to new height. Nice fragrant garlic and the crunch and extra taste coming from the Kerisik really makes this dish unique. Sweet and Sour Fish Initially didn't think much of this sweet and sour fish when ordering it. Thought that it will be the typical fried fish and soaked in bottled sweet and sour sauce. Boy we were surprised! The fish is light and the batter is still crispy. The sweet and sour sauce is well balance. After eating it doesn't feel heavy at all. It is very light and elegantly done. Prawn Paste Chicken Wings / Tom Yum Soup / Fish Curry All of these dishes are good but nothing outstanding for me to sing praises to. Overall a very enjoyful trip! Worth going.

This is my third time dining here. Courteous and helpful staff. Prices are affordable and the portions are just about right. They have several specialty dishes. Our favourites are the Prawn Garlic and Chilli Flakes which is crunchy, zingy and spicy. The prawns were awesomely crispy! We ordered another similar dish but with crispy Softshell Crab! Great tasting! Another our hot fav is the Garlic Lala….an umami bomb dish! Tried their Beef Hor Fun (flat noodles). Beef was tender and the taste was super! The Olive and Vege Fried rice was surprise as I could really taste the spices. After 3 visits, we are qualified regulars. 😬

Some of the staff can't even speak English. Walls are dirty. There was even a cockroach that crawled on the wall beside my daughter. When I alerted the staff member about this, he was just so casual, and just told us to move to another table. I pointed out I paid already, but then he just walked away without bothering about the situation. He looked like he couldn't care less. Staff also didn't bother telling a group of patrons to keep it down as that table had kids were running around a lot and shouted. The rest of us are paying patrons who couldn't even enjoy our meal. Not worth to come here. They don't care about the customers and cleanliness. They should close down.

Waited about 30 minutes during dinner hour just to get seated, which is normal I supposed. They have a self order system like Pastamania where you have to order and pay at cashier. After long wait, it's terrible to be told that 3 out of 4 items I initially wished to order were out of stock. Ironically, most of these items are promoted in set meals. When told why they didn't paste on the large promo boards outside of the items that are oos, cashier casually just claimed they had no time to do so and proceeded to add on that the items were oos since afternoon and supplier also didn't deliver some items. Personally for me if you know in advance from lunch time that some items are oos, then at least have the decency to inform customers verbally or paste on the promo boards of these shortcomings so customers can dine elsewhere. Taste wise, similar to any hawker centre food so in terms of price point, it's not value for money. The signature chicken, fried rice and hor fun were palatable. Would not recommend the Tom Yum seafood. The taste is unlike most Tom Yum soups I've had, and was missing a whole bunch of ingredients. Only had loads of lettuce and other veges, and a handful of fish slices. Other ingredients probably oos but not highlighted to us. Overall, a disappointing first experience 😕 despite initially looking forward to it because of a friend's recommendation.

My family and I used to go there once every week because we really enjoyed the food there. They changed their whole team a few months back and everything started going downhill. Prices are more expensive, dishes became smaller. The menu is the same but the taste is not as good anymore. The whole place lacks order. There are more people working there now but they appear to lack proper training. They leave people standing outside and at the counter while busying themselves with other things. They also leave their tables unclean until there are people outside waiting for a table then they start cleaning that 1 table. They serve us our food without cutleries and didn't realise until we asked them for it. Their management needs to do something about it.

Ordered beef hor fun for $9.72. Godly Hor fun. Good wok hey and char. I really like the harder part of the hor fun that has the nice smoking taste. Pro Beef. Chewy but work. Tender enough and tasty. Gravy. Tasty You need to go and get the green chili. The sour taste add another nice dimension to the hor fun. Cons Rather expensive. Honestly other dish (rice dish in general) are miles away

Takeaway their signature salted egg yolk chicken rice set, supposing comes with egg, end up gave 2 miserable cube of tofu. Salted egg chicken is just a thick powder coating around a non existence chicken (most like flour and chicken fats unknown substance) Will never try again 👎

My first visit here with family and our dining experience had been great! Although the restaurant does not have a wide variety of dishes, the dishes that my family ordered were really delicious. The bagedil was crispy and soft on the inside. The beef rendang was the favourite; the gravy was rich and slightly spicy but good. The salted egg chicken was generous but I wish it had a bit more of the sauce. Iced lemon tea was refreshing; loved it! Overall our first time here had been awesome plus the service was good too.

Overall I would rate 4.5 out of 5 tho I have to remind them to make the dishes less salty. The portion is reasonable, price is affordable. They are quite flexible in tailoring the dishes to our taste eg less salty, less oily, less spicy.

Had break fast last night on 19 March 2024 (8 adult, 3 children). Ordered plates of plain rice and a number of side dishes amounting to nearly $200. The food was nice but we need to keep reminding the staff for the dishes that we ordered. When we finished our food and went out of the restaurant, we realised that we did not received our 2 plates of spring rolls. To add on, we need to order via paper and pen before proceeding to the cashier for payment. We are in year 2024 and I am surprised that the restaurant is not using digital device or QR code to order like most of the restaurants. I believe with changing the system to digital will surely avoid making mistakes like missing out on our orders. Overall, would recommend but need to monitor closely and keep track of what you ordered.
