Came here on a monday night for dinner with friends even since 10pax is allowed after covid measurement relax. Portion is big and price is reasonable. Food is good. Ordered a junior feast, sambal kang kong, pineapple rice and 3 flavour seabass for a table of 8. Total bill of 200+ sgd. If you see the photo, portion is big. Downside: mosquitos and location is quite remote. All of us drive in.

It was our fourth time dining here since its opening a couple of years ago. Owned by Fatima Mohsin who is a popular bridal service provider. The premise used to be a horse stable then turned beer bar then now a halal restaurant serving authentic Thai food. The prices here are $$$. We paid $132 nett for 3 adults, I ordered a tad too many than our usual. Shuttle service is provided from Kranji MRT station. Check with them for schedule. Otherwise you need to drive or get a cab. If you take the bus, you need to walk quite a bit to the restaurant. I suggest the former mode of transport if you decide to have dinner here. Most of the time we ordered the small portion size which was generous we think. What brings us back is the flavour of the dishes, especially their fish dishes. What we had: Pomelo Salad was our starter. We were expecting mixed salad with pomelo pulps but we got 4 huge pomelos wedges which was juicy and sweet. Topped with carrots, cashews, onions and drizzled fish sauce. Yummy! Crispy Chicken Skin, $10 dollars for that huge bowl! Our must have dish! It was crispy and packed with flavour! You just got to try it! Spicy Steamed Seabass was rich and aromatic. It had that refreshing zesty lemon taste and that kick from the chilli and spices. We just have to order this again and again…. Tom Yum Kungfu; an appropriate name for a dish that kicks you in the face! Whoah! I was so pleased with the perfectly cooked squid cos it was soft and not rubbery! Beef Cashew; it was our first time trying this dish. The beef was marinated and so tender. The prep was quite similar to bulgogi. A bit too sweet for my taste. Pad Thai; it is our first time ordering this too. I love Pad Thai when it is done well and this one did not disappoint. The portion is enough for sharing if you have other dishes. The Garlic Kailan was watery which was not like this when we ordered the last time. Although the veg was fresh and crunchy but the flavour was diluted by the watery sauce. We will return again in months to come cos despite the quite pricey dishes, the flavour and portion made us satiated.

Lovely outdoor setting with heaps of seating space. The food was reasonably good, though quite overpriced considering it isn’t close to being a proper restaurant-type environment. $5 for an iced milk tea, $10 for fried rice etc, simply isn’t the kind of pricing you’d expect for a place like 555 Halal Thai. A big negative for our experience was the extended wait time for food. - It took over 45 minutes for food to be delivered to our table. Considering it was a Sunday afternoon with barely a crowd in sight, I find that rather appalling and unacceptable. We noticed many people anxiously waiting for their food, only to receive it after an extended waiting time in excess for 30-45mins. (This was clearly communicated to diners, but it personally remains unacceptable to me) It’s worth a try as a once-off, gimmicky sort of experience, but most definitely will not be a go-to spot for Thai food. - There are plenty of authentic, halal Thai food options in Singapore at far more affordable prices. It’s a 3/5 stars for me. It would’ve been a 2/5, if not for the wonderful staff members on duty.

Food portion is miserable and food quality is not good. The food were pricey and we expected at least above average food but were totally disappointed. We had the Japanese teppanyaki menu and the rice used was not Japanese rice. Very disappointed with the service as well as the waitresses could not remember our orders. Not worth the money spent.
