I live around the area and I’ve only recently came to realise that there’s a dessert shop with rave reviews near me 😂 Their Instagram regularly updates their weekly and daily offerings (Wed-Sun). It was 5pm when we went and I was hoping they have the rye praline brownie ($5)... and they do! We got a couple of items to try. Blondies were bite sized and going at $7.50 for 5, we also ordered the sugee cake for $4 (really good), and the tropical carrot cake (looks dry but super moist!!). Everything was good. Will definitely visit again!

I think it was OK. Pretty average. I wouldn’t intentionally travel there to purchase the sweets. The choux are smaller than expected (smaller than palm size) and it’s 3 for $10 (so not super value for money).

Halal and exotic cakes and cream buns. Wide variety of choices. Unique and appears to be homemade-types of snacks. They even serve coffee. Nice to buy if you are expecting guests.

Though I live nearby, I never knew of Shubby Sweets' existence until an elderly neighbour brought us a box of their cakes/pastries (sweet & savouries) to our house. It was given to her by a friend whose grandchild turned full-month. She doesn't eat sweets and she needs gluten-free food, unbeknown to her well-meaning friend. Like her, I don't have a sweet tooth and am actively phasing out sweets in my diet. Fortunately, my hubby has a sweet tooth. I took the only savoury pastry int he box (cherry tomato and cheese, i think) and reheated the Airfryer. Oh my, it was out of this world. The pastry was warm and crispy.....it made me checked out the name of this bakery on the box. I also noticed that my hubby polished up all the cakes and sweet pastry in the box in a jiffy. He was impressed. I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't expecting this "unknown" bakery to catch my attention, but it did. Further, I myself am capable of making very good brownies ....my own brownies are the benchmark/standard. We will be checking in on Shubby Sweets the next time we go Chai Chee, for sure! I will make a beeline for the savouries while my hubby will make a beeline for the sweets.

Awesome pastry shop in the HDB neighbourhood selling creme filled puffs and loafs. The flavours for the puffs changes weekly so stay tuned to their IG.

I was blown away by the quality of their sweet and savoury pastries! They're quite unique (not just your regular generic coffeeshop pastries), and you can feel that they've really put thought and care into their products. Not to mention, their bakes were diverse and I was having a hard time with so many yummy choices. The staff helped me out quickly and attentively to help me make some really good choices within my budget. This was a great choice for a gift / small gathering and I'll definitely want to be back!

The cake loaves are so dense, flavourful and moist. One of my favourite cake sellers. Hopefully more flavours can be sold as staples soon!
