This is a top-notched Japanese cafe, where some food (carbo) is also served, in addition to the expected coffee, matcha, cakes and desserts. Had a good experience and thoroughly enjoyed the food I ordered. I'll be back!

i have specifically mark a Cross to let you know by all mean don’t order this beef curry rice which is curry and rice . horrible feeling scammed!! lucky my wife order the beef don and she able to offer some to me . overall food is nothing great and very stingy on the ingredients despite the high price . lastly even a cup of plain water they charged for $1 . i hope they can be more generous in future but anyway i have blacklisted this restaurant.

Love the ambience of the place. The mains were alright but just felt like something was lacking. The grapefruit tart was nice. Would rec coming here for the dessert!

Udon is disappointing. You can get better tasting one at kopitiam. pancake was disappointing. it took 30min of waiting before it was served. and it taste like instant pancakes!!! matcha tart was good. kyoto shokudo was supposed to be a dessert place, but this standard is quite low. Price is expensive. $10 for a slice of tart? Better off buying from starbucks. $10 for instant pancake and 30min waiting time to cook? Any other waffles place with ice cream is much better. your money is better spent at other dessert place in vivo like awfully chocolate or ben and jerry. as for mains, youre better off eating at tokyo shokudo next door.

Kyoto Shokudo is a nice spot for matcha lovers! Their matcha offerings range from traditional tea to lovely desserts, hitting all the right notes. The main meals are average, but their matcha level is just right for me! Recommend their matcha pancakes and hot lattes 🌟

An awesome well-rounded Halal Japanese restaurant, with great choices of Mains and many choices of pretty desserts: Shortcakes, fluffy pancakes, zucottos... and a whole page menu dedicated to matcha drinks!! (not for me, but I shall bring my matcha-craycray sister here soon) I had Oyako Chicken Toji Udon ($12.90) (Udon in eggy soup with chicken - it was surprisingly tasty!!!) My friends had Gyu Yakiniku Udon Beef ($12.90) - they said it was very good too. The broth is definitely flavorful, not too salty. Look out for their all-day promotion, the main comes with a drink and a slice of cake. Worth it! Now for desserts : Mille crepe Cake ($9.35) : Soft cake with cream. It was fluffier than most mille crepe cake I had, very enjoyable. Even had slices of fruit in the cream. Tiramisu Pancake ($10.90) : Fluffy , yummy , goodness that came in a yellow cloud with cream and cocoa powder. Will be back for the Matcha Carbonara Duck Pasta (I just realised that the matcha is served separately so I can have the pasta without the matcha in it) And yes of course, MORE DESSERTS!! GIVE ME!!!

Ordered the $8.90 dessert thinking it looked good… and that’s where it ends. The dessert was not cold below the small scoop of ice cream. It looked like ice cream but it’s not. It wasn’t cold which was bad. Some kind of pudding with cream… but it’s not chilled!! The only nice stuff is the crisps , red bean and ice cream. The mochi was forgettable. I won’t eat this again

I thought it'll be like Tokyo Shokudo, with an extensive food menu, but it's literally 70% desserts, which I don't really mind. Really great for Matcha/Green Tea lovers because they have pages of the menu there. I went there for dinner and order beef curry rice (huge salad side and this delicious mash potato) and lychee tea. Huge portion. 👍🏻 Will go again.
