Choices of Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taste of Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Classic ambience with local & Malaysian influence street food. Great for big groups as it is quite spacious. Expect crowd during peak hours especially on weekends. Popiah & Pie Tee is also available but it's selling out fast! They replaced it with the Penang Pasembur.

Quite many variety of food here and the claypot chicken was good. The environment was cosy n clean. The only minus point is the fish soup stall, service was very slow with a few old pple standing in the queue waiting. But the malay lady at the stall was just walking around n doing other things instead of serving n cooking. Attitude was bad too n keep asking to wait. Not a pleasant service n experience.

Really love their chicken cutlet curry! But the size of the chicken can be very small at times 😅 love their fish soup bee Hoon too with the fried egg on top 🤤🤤

Worst chat kuay trow ever had. Missing the egg and the ingredients (prawn n fish cakes are still white) did not stir fried together with the noodle.

My initial 4 stars rate drops to 3 when I tasted ketchup in my noodle. Oops I was expected a savory version. We ordered the signature noodle at S$7 each bowl. The actual bowl noodle does not match the advertised image of this dish. I must confessed that I felt shortchanged. The noodle was mushy so I could not finish the sweet noodle bowl. Instead of ordering drink from them, we decided not to risk our appetite for coffee. Heading to toast box for drinks to complete our meal.

Came to this outlet twice. First time I ordered a takeaway carrot cake black but it was served without any spring onion. Taste was just sweet and the texture was mushy. And worst part, I need to wait around 15 mins on a non-peak hour (2.15pm) for them to fry the damn carrot cake!!! Too slow!! Second time I dine in and ordered the curry rice with chicken cutlet and it was good. Portion of the food was ok for me but I wish there's even more curry gravy! If you ask me I will come back again for their food, I will say NO. I don't want to waste my time and get my mood spoilt by this lousy eatery.

The fried kway teow is nothing like shown on picture. Had to wait quite a bit and still the prawn was wasn’t hot, no wok hei flavour, too sweet and sorely lacking in ingredients. Counter staff was also very gruff.

Went there with a friend for an early lunch on a weekday, last week. It wasn't too busy and we managed to find a table easily. Place was clean. I had wanton mee which was ok, nothing to shout about. Presentation of the food can be improved as my bowl looked like they just threw the meat on it and spreaded it out to make it appear that there's more than thre actually was. My friend fishball noodle looked just as poorly presented. Price-wise it was ok since we were in a mall in an air-conditioned setting. What bothers me most was the poor service! A staff came to our table while we were eating and insisted that she rearranged the adjoining tables (the table were were on and the table next to ours) back to their original position, we had to carry out bowls just so she'd could pull and straighten the tables to her liking. It's so ridiculous to interrupt customers WHILST THEY WERE EATING just to do something that could have been done later.

The best place to go if you don't know what to eat. Curry rice with chicken drums. Just simple comfort food. Just have to reduce my review to 3 stars due to the long waiting time .. The lady had to do cashir, taking orders, and producing the order..They need more staff. Only one staff is serving. Pity that lady.

The curry chicken cutlet rice tastes great. I've been here a few times, and it's still good. The service is quick, and you have many drink options to choose from.

Got the $5 curry chicken cutlet meal. This has been my go to everytime i go to an Encik Tan outlet. It’s cheap and good. The chicken here is a bit smaller than what I’ve had at other outlets, but it’s still pretty good. Cooked well, moist and juicy on the inside, crispy batter, not tough. The cabbage is good, has that slight bitter taste but goes really well with curry. The egg was fried well, though mine came with the yolk separated from the white, but it’s still good. Overall pretty good though, the portion is a bit small and could’ve had more curry.

Visited this during lunch and tried first time clay pot chicken rice which is a best seller here. Unfortunately, I did not like it. It is just some rice with few chicken pieces and soya sauce, after the order it was kept on fire for 3-5 mins and served. The rice surrounding the surface of the clay pot was over cooked and became hard and taste was below to average only. Other dish tries is fried fish curry rice, it was much better and can try.

My experience yesterday was not pleasant at their Bedok Mall branch. The food is reasonably cheap but the service is very bad. Parts of the this chicken cutlet was raw or not fully cooked and when I tried to show the lady at the counter, she was rude and did not attend to me. She was defensive and told me all their chicken are cooked the same without even checking the one that was served to me. Customer service is really bad. She did not offer to at least change the chicken cutlet. I really felt bad. I tried to keep my composure and be respectful. East Point branch staff are all nice but was surprised to encounter such poor customer service from that Bedok Mall branch staff.😔

The claypot chicken rice here tasted super nice! The serving is just nice for one person and the price is reasonable. Compared to encik tan in kawan kawan located in tampines mall which has extra thing is only the Chinese sausage and cost much more higher- and the rice is not fully cooked, I will suggest you to have the claypot chicken rice here in bedok mall☺️

If you want a quick bite and resonably priced Singaporean food then this is the place in Bedok Mall. The food may not be fantastic but the taste is reasonable. This place is quite packed during peak hours. You can also buy a drink for a dollar if you are buying any of their meals.
