Food is awesome. Delicious and every dish that we had is rich in taste. The drinks too, not too sweet and not too diluted. The cakes are soft and the fillings are generous. The service is tip to the top, constantly asking if the food is good, making sure we had enough and the food are to our liking. Atmosphere is quiet and cosy. Rating will be 10/10 really.

I was looking for a Halal restaurant and gave The Malayan Council a try. The building is hard to find and once you park, the restaurant is also hidden. But once we walk in, it’s a pleasant surprise and the decor is actually quite nice! The food is pretty good and portions are large (which is not typical in Singapore). Most of the dishes we ordered were tasty and we were given complimentary appetizers and even desserts! Prices are definitely high relative to other restaurants serving the same food.

Five stars for ambience and portion size! The Malayan Council at Windstedt is all about the vibes, an atmosphere so nice you’ll definitely enjoy chilling there. Food portion was HUGE, it was our first time there and we definitely ate our fill, have two mains along with drinks and a complimentary side! Service was good, food tasted good and we even got complimentary cakes to bring home. Price point definitely worth a mention, this place is good for occasions as it’s on the high side. Definitely fitting for occasions! :)

Love the ambience and beautiful decor. The food was delicious and comes in big portion. Was given complimentary chicken wings and cake. Waiters and waitresses were attentive and quick to assist. This is truly Malayan Council best outlet. My wife and I left the restaurant truly satisfied. Highly recommended!!

There for a reunion visit of our secondary school premises. Service was not the most efficient as we were served a satay platter instead of a satay pizza as we had ordered. The ambience was relaxing and food was good. Although it wasn’t a busy night, staff did not really pay much attention to us. Would still come back again.

It was such a lovely experience celebrating my early birthday at the restaurant. Especially the service staff named Freda was very welcoming and really treated me and my friend so well! The food was really great too, however it can be on the pricey side. All-in-all it is an ideal place to bring your loved ones for a special occasion or for a treat to impress someone.

TMC never fails to impress! First experience at this branch, food is consistently good, service is great as always. This establishment never fails to go above and beyond. During our visit, it was for a birthday celebration, the manager offered free appetizer and a couple slices of cakes to bring home on top of what we ordered, which is always an appreciated gesture. And the killer of the day is always gonna be the smoked duck lemak chili padi pasta!

Nice ambience and it was quite quiet when we went on the evening of National Day (9.8.23). As always, the food portion was super generous that we could not finish them. We received complimentary serving of chicken winglets and 2 slices of cakes for takeaway. Not our 1st visit to Malayan Council Winstedt Rd nor other outlets, their service has been consistently good.

Nothing beats this chain of restaurants when it comes to quality and portion. With hearty portions of halal food done perfectly (I would argue even better than some non-halal alternatives), it is easy to see why this place is a go to for many malay families. The pastas we had were very filling and delicious, and each main is more than enough to feed 2 pax I feel. I genuinely enjoyed the food so much that I would come back for more. Moreover, the wait staff are always so kind to bring over complimentary dishes- like a coconut cake after dinner and a free fried salmon appetiser. I think that the only thing they can work on is to staff the restaurant more as they are understaffed and working so crazily hard for customers. Good job team!

Once again, very impressed with the quality of food at Malayan council. we had the lontong goreng with Kobe beef and truffle mushroom soup. The portions are very generous and we almost always have to takeaway the leftovers. Service staff are very friendly and great in customer service. Overall, had a very pleasant lunch here! Will be back again!
