Very bad beef strip loin, very hard to chew and staff claiming it is fat and because we ordered medium well done. But it is just not any texture anything close to strip loin. Then staff try to explain to me difference between ribeye and strip loin. Total non sense

I don’t know when did 18chet become so terrible. Order medium rare tenderloin but couldn’t able to chew at all. Soup of the day is super thumb down. Super watery and tasteless. French fries on the side is not even like fast food standards, not crispy at all. Definitely not a 18 chef I used to know. Or only clementi outlet?

Food is not bad, but portion size can be improved for the burger. Ordered salted egg burger but the chicken patty was super small, woke up hungry the next morning 🤣 Also, dirty utensils and plates basically ruined the whole experience cause we had to double wipe everything before using it omg

Good things first : The food is generally good. Price is OK and comparable to others at the same level. They are definitely not for those looking for fine dining restaurant. So please don't expect wagyu or even very tender steak. We tried their salad and baked rice also. They are fine too. I think "cheese fondue" is a bit unusual. They should add a description to say it is melted cheese only and bread is sold separately. They don't provide bread for you to dip in the cheese which is not the norm in restaurants. The "crime": Their Root beer float is amongst the worst I've had. Who serves root beer with ice and then top it up with ice cream? If they want to be cheap (stingy), it's the wrong item to choose. Lol. Is soft drink that expensive? The drink is diluted with ice. The ice fights for space with the vanilla ice cream on the top coz they both float. Since you can't drink the ice and most people don't eat ice (I.e. put ice in mouth and chew), it's annoying as ever. Of course they also want to be environmentally friendly. Thus they don't serve it with a straw. It's not just disgusting but frustrating. Don't order the float.

Ordered teriyaki salmon with fries and butter corn as sides. Corn tastes good, salmon was alright, might be better if sauce can be provided separately instead of drizzled over it.

Ordered mushroom soup and it was cold. Self service from a big electric pot but no heat from the soup at all. Cesar salad was pathetic. Few pieces of lettuce that look like old stock (see photo) with bread crumbs and one egg. Never going back again.

Good value for the sets with free flow soup and drink, self service. The show stopper is definitely the Hearty Fried Rice.

Affordable student meal. Food is okay. Be Your Own Chef. You can customise the type of foods and choose between spaghetti or cheese baked rice and add your choice of sauce and ingredient such as mushroom or chicken sausage etc. The Chicken with Coconut Sambal is tasty.

Ordered their recommended chicken baked rice on 14 May 2023. Rice was cold, food served was slowed. It will be my first and last time patron to this place. Kopitiam food taste better than this place. Spent your money wisely 😌

Extremely poor experience here. The order system had problem. To make things works the 'well done' steak was burnt and bitter. Quite surprised such standard from them as I used to frequent the Jcube outlet. Hope they improve one day

Quite ordinary. Will I visit this place again - Probably not. Food was just average. Ordered chicken and fish along with 2 sides each. Fish and chicken were ok, but the sides were not really great. The drinks were absolutely average (Cold cafe latte and iced tea). Service was decent, no complaints.

Very average food. Ok for occasional bites. Truffle mushroom pasta was decent.

The food was good. Fusion dish with coconut base. Except for the salad, which seemed to be taken from the fridge. Not fresh at all. However, service was satisfactory as I requested to change tables and already moved my stuff but wasn't able to due to peak hour and other guests came to that table through another waiter. Tables were a little too close to the other tables, which didn't provide much privacy.

Food was mediocre, steak was probably frozen thawed, waiter was extremely rude and shouted at us. The cook also messed up my side dishes. Extremely horrible experience, would not recommend to anyone.

The staff is helpful. Food is average but for the money one can't expect too much. I found the place too noisy maybe because of the group of almost 20 students who were having a party. I had to shout to b heard by my dining companion!

Overall is okay, just putting it out there. there's this creepy male stuff that goes around and keeps staring at younger girls. he would keep walking in circles to continuously stare at them as he walks past. it's really incomfortable and pervertic

I love eighteen chef and it will always be my favourite restaurant to eat at, especially at Clementi district. The staff are very friendly, especially when one turns into a frequent guest. I have tried the baked rice, different varieties (like with Japanese curry, beef, truffle) I have tried the Rodeo drumettes and black pepper chicken sausage. It was amazing, up to standards. I would definitely recommend friends/family to eighteenchef.

I used dine in Jcube outlet but once Jcube closed we went to nearest clementi mall outlet. But the experience is different from what we went through in Jcube. The food standard in clementi mall drop, the chicken have strong smell and its either overcooked or undercooked. Ordered the hearty sambal chicken and it didn't taste good. Soup and ice lemon tea didn't taste as how it used to taste when dine in Jcube. There is one waiter who keep walking around and looking around the diners which is very distrubing. The waiter waiting to clear plates while about to finish which is pressurising. I understand that the waiter wants clear the table asap but as a diner it leaves a uneasy feeling. Hope eigteen chef in clementi mall can improve.
