Very competitive stall in Geylang Serai Hawker Centre. Many stall selling Nasi Padang in this malay based hawker centre. Most of them are doing well, good flavor and charging was high too. For this famous stall, the quality of Malay dishes was superb, full of flavor with variety of choices. Today, I brought a take away Nasi Padang which consists of 2 vegetables and 1 chicken thighs meat. Cost me $8. Which is usually $5.50 to $6 before covid. Very understand that the food cost nowadays is increasing tremendously. But I still feel the increase is way too high, perhaps $6.50 is more reasonable. Beside that, I must say that their service attitude was good, polite and patient when selecting your dishes from many they had offered. Overall, I pleased by their great taste of food they offered, definitely I will come back again but probably not so often due to the high cost of food.

Came down here to try this store. Nothing much to rave about, pretty average in my opinion. We got beef rendang, ayam sambal and sambal goreng ($12.50). Beef rendang was tough. Ayam Sambal chicken was good. Small portion of sambal goreng, wasn’t the best. Overall just a normal nasi padang store, a lot of people were buying multiple plates at a time. Even if the line appears short, be prepared to wait a long time. Staff was nice, they asked if I wanted gravy on the rice.

Happened to be in the vicinity of Geylang Serai food centre and decided to try by here for lunch. There were many stalls but this particular stall selling Nasi Padang with a long queue caught my attention. Joined the queue so as to find out the hype about this stall. There were at least 15 people in the queue and it moved pretty slow. Took me closed to half an hour before it was my turn to order. By the time it was my turn to order. most of the food was already finishing, mind you it was just 1pm. Selected 4 dishes, 1 egg, 1 veg , 1 fried chicken and a begedil and the meal cost me SGD$9. Quite expensive for a hawker centre meal. Taste wise, pretty average and had better ones elsewhere at a much cheaper price. Assam pedas gravy was quite salty. Their signature fried chicken was way too dry and bland. Personally, i don't think its worth queuing for.

Taste is close to Indonesian Nasi Padang. The rendang beef was tender and fragrant. Price is too expensive ($7) just for a plate of rice with rendang beef, vegetables, and tempe, compared to the most famous Indonesia Nasi Padang (Garuda) that usually cost $3.

This place should be top 5 of the best Nasi Padang places in Singapore. The nasi padang is served with banana leaves eventhough you are dining there. The Rendang is soft and full of flavour. The uncle is really friendly. Many would say the price is too expensive and overrated but for me I don't mind paying if the food is good.. Value for money. It's not easy and cheap to open a Nasi Padang stall 👌👌👍👍
