Found this area by accident. We were starving as lunch time drew closer. Everywhere we went, there was a lengthy line. Then we saw this and made a beeline for it because there wasn't a line. What a welcome surprise that ended up being! My tempura was expertly fried. The prawns had a crisp exterior and a fresh, juicy inside. If the remainder of the menu was as delicious as what I had, they certainly deserved the gold award, according to the billboard, which stated that they had been given it for six years in Japan. Not to mention that it's halal too!

Ordered the chicken chasu ramen. Would prefer the broth without the shallot oil as the shallot oil over power the soup. Chicken is blend so do not recommend to top up to the 4pcs ramen. Rather use the money to add another side dish instead. The egg not peeled properly. Furthermore there is no lava. As the restaurant is quite new in Lot One, it gets pretty crowded and needed longer waiting time.

When we first tried this, it was at another outlet in plaza sing and we ordered their signature fried tendon but didnt really enjoyed it as it was greasy and kind of hard. Years later today, it was a much more pleasant experience. We ordered their original chicken ramen and its yuzu chicken ramen. I think the soup is quite tasty just that it was a little salty. Yuzu version was a bit refreshing with v faint hint citrus aftertaste, making the soup less greasy. Original chicken was 9.90++ while the yuzu version was 10.90++. Resto is halal certified and they served free ice water. Service was not bad as the staff will refill. Affordable, quick, value for money meal

Located at basement 1 of Lot One, alight at Choa Chu Kang of the North South Red Line and take a escalator down. After taking the escalator down, Tokyo Shokudo is located on the left side. They have several restaurant outlets with their menu mainly with tempuras, dons and ramen. You have to try their crispy tempura that's delicious and served with Koshihikari rice in their don menu. The ramen soup base is really smooth and flavorful. This outlet does serve a taste of Japan in their food but sadly not in their service. Maybe it was a lack of manpower but from the kitchen, the food served to your table by the floor staff seem rushed and accident prone. Hope this outlet manages their staff well for a better experience for dine in customers.

Was very happy to see a new ramen outlet! Ordered a Yuzu scallop ramen and Signature Tendon. The ramen is collagen rich/chicken broth and was glad to choose the yuzu based soup as it balanced out the rich taste of the soup. Dining experience wasn’t the most welcoming one as one of the staff certainly had a bad day. Staff E served my tea and tendon with a loud bang on the table and each time I still said “thank you” cheery back but in return was silent treatment from Staff E. Was trying to find an excuse for the staff, perhaps the tea and the bowl were too hot to handle? Will I be back? 🤷🏻‍♀️….doubt so…. my bad for minus 2 stars for the unwelcoming customer service during the meal.

Clean environment Tempura don ain’t exactly the way it should be. The batter used turns soggy right after it cools off the immediate fried sensation is over (like less than 5 mins). Rice was much little than usual don. I requested for the tempura sauce (wanted a sweet one that is usually provided), got the salty version instead. Tomyum taste on top of chicken broth is okay. Chicken is bare minimal. Ratio of noodles way supersedes other items in the bowl One-time visit only for me

The collagen-rich chicken broth ramen is quite good. Can tell the broth was cooked for hours before it was made into ramen. But just a small suggestion-To cut the egg half when serving. Another issue I have is with the Ribena. I thought it will be served as a packet drink with ice. But end up it's just a cup of "home-made" Ribena. Please update the photos in your menu to prevent confusion.

Why must the staff take advantage of online orders? Ordered CHICKEN CHA SHU RAMEN($15++) and only got 2 SLICES of chicken? I took as many pictures to show its new and untouched.

Ordered the signature tendon and everything was fried upon order. Batter is crispy, light and delicious, it came with miso soup too that was normal. Dish was definitely on the larger portion side and was very filling.

Considered an average ramen place. Overall, the ramen tasted okay, but service in this restaurant was pretty poor. I waited close to 30 mins for my bowl of ramen (which the service staff forgot about). Probably better options available around the area too!

A pretty solid halal Japanese restaurant at Lot 1 (Choa Chu Kang). It's my first time dining at a halal Japanese restaurant and everything tasted satisfactory. I would bring my Muslim friends here next time if we're at Lot 1 The dessert pudding tasted good but $5.90 is quite expensive in my opinion

Staff service is good but the place feels quite warm. The air con like not strong enough. Food portion is ok but on a saltier side. I would recommend the signature tendon!

Halal japanese food. Not crowded. Staff are courteous. Food is good. Served timely. 2nd time dine in. Tempura & beef don set are goood and portion are just right. All are fresh & hot when served. Favourite Hojicha tea comes with set meal. Ramen is all good too.

Service is quite good, but rather slow. Finished the first dish which was curry doria before the rest of the mains came. Food quality is slightly better than Saizeriya. The sauces are creamier and thicker, and food presentation looks better. Fries are crispier, corn has actual butter taste. However, the price is at least 20%- 30% more expensive than Saizeriya, and there are also service and GST charges. Spent $50 on 5 main dishes. Paid about $60 overall as $10 goes to GST and service charge. Would rather stick with Saizeriya for slightly worse quality of food but at a much more wallet friendly pricing.

pale looking pasta and pasta taste like a better quality of maggie mee that’s all. pizza took 20min to serve and toppings were sad (cos $6.9). corn serving was so little and butter gave too much, makes the whole dish oily. S… restaurant win

Food was mid n not that cheap. My bad for thinking the pastas would be around 6 dollars but its around $10 which is way ex than saizeria Pasta is handmade but not a lot of ingredients, my carbonara had like 5 pieces of smoked duck. Margarita pizza tasted like tomato paste on biscuit. Mentai chicken pasta was interesting. Would not come again. Pastamania (student deal) and saizeria>> $32 for two people (2 pasta n one pizza)

This shop is newly opened, it is found right beside Tokyo Shokudo at the basement. Service of the food was quite fast, even more so on a Sunday afternoon. Note that they do charge service charge and GST as well. Pasta is quite creamy and delicious, I really enjoyed it. Smoked duck carbonara also has fragrant hints of fried garlic bits, very unique but well done. Would come here again to try the other menu items.

Food took 30 to 40mins to come. Nothing special, in fact the weirdest beef bolongnese i had ever. We cannot even finish the carbonara. So bad. Not recommended.

1st and last visit. Similar food menu items as Saizeriya but maybe 30% more expensive. Ordered Duck Carbonara, Beef Bolognese, Pescatora and French Fries. My boy did not like the Duck Carbonara. The Beef Bolognese had a weird awful smell to it and my girl did not Iike it. Both dishes were almost untouched. Pescatora sauce tasted like normal ketchup and there were not much ingredients. The French Fries was OK normal but small portion. Place is a little small. Totally regretted coming here. Not recommended and will not be coming back. 👎🏽 Should have just gone to Saizeriya. Cheaper and nicer (for its value). Had to go to McD for 2nd round. Even eating McD was better than this.

This was a joint restaurant with Tokyo Shokudo. I dine at Tokyo Shokudo and have a negative experience, nothing like the one I being to at Westgate Branch. Food wise, the ramen tastes really subpar. In terms of service, I believe there's a lot of room to improve. I went during the peak period of lunch time, at about 1220pm. There were a total 3 serving staff and they were also responsible for the cashier. You could see they were clearly understaffed. All of my orders I had almost came 25 minutes, it was served at piece-meal and not all at once. This was really a big letdown. Atmosphere wise, to be honest, I feel like dining in a food court setting... Will not patronize this particular branch again, don't recommend it to other diners.

The pasta was decent, sauce is good but improvement can be made. Food was served slightly slow up to 20 minutes, understandably during lunch hours although there are many staff walking around. For the free flow drinks, the staff will give you the cup before you take the drinks. Was confused at first.
