The food quality is above average. But too pricey for its quality. The only selling point I can think up is that this restaurant is halal.

Decent meal at one of the pioneer Halal sushi joints in Singapore. Slightly on the pricey side, requires a bit of experience in choosing food items that are value for money. Salmon sashimi is thick and fresh, however without the 1-for-1 promotion it’s rather expensive. The rest of the food items are average, special shoutout for the Spicy Salmon Gunkan which is a must for me everytime I come! :) Overall, with more and more Halal Japanese joints on the rise, I’d come visit again if it’s convenient.

This place is a total rip off. Not to mention how costly the sushi is. They even charge 50 cents for hot water omg. Would rather go to sushi express. If you look at the receipt, you can see how costly the sushi was. Sushi tasted mediocre. Not to mention how lousy customer service is and we still have to pay service charges with. Would not be coming back here ever again. -10 stars for this lousy and rip off type of sushi outlet.

Not worth the money for the kind of quality of food that they are serving. Spending the equivalent can get you way better food at sushiro or genki. Just look at the kind of sashimi they served as part of the set meal. Totally unacceptable.

It's worth the wait. Had to queue about half an hour due to safe distancing measures. Had to split seating 3 at 1 table and 1 more at another 😒 What to do. Anyway, other than the slight inconvenience, it was still a wonderful dining experience. The promotional meal set was worth it. Came with 1 main, 2 sides and drink. Gyu Don was tasty. Other sushi dishes were ok.

Honestly the foods here aren’t fresh. Wasn’t my first time eating at Hei Sushi but the one at Woodlands Civic Centre is much more fresh then the ones at Sembawang Shopping Centre. Took a bite of the sushi and the rice was super rock hard and didn’t taste nice at all. The fish portion was smaller then the ones at Woodlands. The fishy smell was even there too. Its like the fishes has been kept for a few days before it was served. Not to forget even their edamame too, some of it taste sour already. Half portion couldn’t be eaten after i take a bite of it. Service was also quite disappointing. When i mentioned that i came alone, the server looks like shock and just pointed to the sit without saying anything. They were seen like they were just talking more then actual working. But i am really disappointed with the foods there. For such an expensive menu, your foods should be served fresh just like how Woodlands outlet does. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to come to Sembawang outlet. For a total bill of $68 for 1 pax, its a major disappointment. The only item that’s not disappointing is only their dessert.

Food was average until the soft shell came. The dish was a disaster, horrendous ! The 1st bite of it my husband spit out! The meat inside was actually still raw. He was so uncomfortable and told the staff. Guess the staff is a part time, without apologizing she just took the whole plate behind. Moments later she came back with the food , same plate cos it's the same portion. Hubby gave it another try. Then again , he spit out ! It's beyong savage ! The crab was really smells! It's so bad! The taste lingered in my hubby's mouth tat he wanted to puke ! Then after we spoke to the incharge Miss Laura. A very pleasant incharge whereby she expressed her apologies over the incident. Just would like to nudge the management please look into the quality of your food as this is F&B industry which who knows may result in food poisoning.
