Swensen's at Thomson Plaza is a great place for family and friends to have meal. The salmon and mushroom pasta is very yummy, cream sauce is not too thick with pasta that were being cut into shorter pieces. The vegetable soup is a healthy option which also tasty pretty good as well. Coffee is on the bitter side but you can add milk and sugar accordingly. Orange juice is refreshing. Strawberry ice cream is sweet and nice too. The seats and atmosphere is nice and we enjoyed ourselves through the whole entire afternoon. Staff are friendly and fast to respond to our request and order even when there are many diners around. #ILoveSwensens

This is one of the longest running Swensen’s outlets for years. Celebrating another year with the firehouse ice cream. I’ve been doing this on and off since I was a kid. And almost always at this outlet. Ice cream here is reasonably priced compared to the new local brands. Still good after all these years.

Thomson plaza is a great place to chill after hiking with your family at the nearby park. My family and I will either head to Sweden or Hans. The food came on time. Love the bread and burger, they served warm and delicious. The bread soup is amazing, something that I didn't really find them. Recommend the Swensen here!

Ordered Spaghetti Carbonara and expected to get freshly cooked spaghetti in a creamy sauce. Instead, a clump of spaghetti in a half dried pile of well distributed scrambled eggs. I would have imagined the dish having sat under the warmer for hours for the scrambled eggs to be that well distributed but our orders came within 10 minutes of ordering, so I'm inching towards microwaved reheated carbonara instead. The spaghetti in scrambled eggs would have came with a healthier choice sticker for not using any salt in the dish at all if not for the dried up pile of barely milky cream cloying to every strand of pasta. My booger has more flavour than this dish. The paper napkins were softer than the ham. But on a positive note, the mushrooms were still succulent and juicy with a nice brown crust. Curry chicken baked rice were prepared with similarly dried up rice and 3 pieces of even more dehydrated chicken jerky. The most enjoyable part of the meal was wiping the mess off my lips and taking a gulp of their free iced tap water. Staff were polite with prompt service on a quiet afternoon, but.... This is the most disappointing Swensen's dining experience I've had ever.

Went there for a late dinner with my aunty and her family. Cold reception by what looks like a senior staff member in white long sleeves and a red tie with a "why come at this hour" attitude. Excuse me dear, whatever you were not happy with don't show your half-boiled egg face to the customer. I don't need any more ugly faces that I can't unsee for the rest of my life. Thank you no thank you. Won't be going there again.

Service sucks now. Only 5 groups of customers, 3 servers, two of whom doing nothing, one of them saw me and just walked away. I had to shout to get his (and everybody else's) attention. Quite a pity as I've patronised this outlet since I was young, very nostalgic. Used to be more crowded, nowadays it's so empty especially on weekdays. Sgd15.9 for chicken baked rice, my kids' favourite item on the menu after the dessert. Chicken in a basket is sgd18.9. Two types of fish n chips, breaded or battered. Breaded is more traditional, battered is newer. Good point is they serve complimentary water. Come here but don't expect any service.

Been a while since we last checked into a Swensens. Ended up at our usual outlet at Thomson Plaza that we've been visiting for over 20 years for many family birthdays because we liked their meatballs pasta & baked rice. Sad to say that quality is far from what it used to be. The cheese on both the pasta & baked rice did not brown a little like how they used to be. It was white & had not much taste. The chicken baked rice was very bland with only maybe only 3 small pcs of chicken. The pasta sauce is a bit starchy & not palatable. The soup was okay but came only slightly lukewarm & not exactly hot. Kids say we're better off eating at home so I guess it won't be on our list of birthday diner for a while. :(

We waited like 20mins for our food and it taste really bad. Baked rice was dry and mussle mushy and not taste fresh. Seafood pasta doea not have prawn but 4 big pcs of dry and hard fish. Not manage to finish them. Its really disappointing.

Terrible food. We couldn’t finish most of the meal because of how salty and undercooked the baked rice was. The teriyaki chicken pasta was basically Chinese soy sauce with noodles. No seasoning, no condiments provided on table to make the food taste slightly more passable. Service staff were nice but they were simply overworked. Cant help but be sad that one of my favourite places to eat since childhood has gone so horribly wrong. Is it corporate greed and cost cutting? Unrecognisable from the friendliness and abundance I remembered.

We have been visiting this Swensens in Thomson Plaza for nearly 3 decades, and It's hv been our favourite cozy restaurant for grills & ice creams. Nice.

I went at 8.45pm for a late dinner. A handful of dine-in customers with no queue. Seated quickly. Ordering thru the e-pad. But the waiting time for the food is super slow. Ordered chicken and waffles (All-day brunch) & Goreng Pisang Split and told them to "serve now". So I expect the main and dessert to be served tgt. But no, they only started dishing out my dessert, 30min after I finished my main. Spoiling my dining experience. Could have had the ice cream with my waffles but they ruined it. Btw the ice cream split order is complimentary due to my bday month. Knowing it's my bday, deliberately delivered a bad experience. Never visiting this store again.

Went on a Friday night, the place was full so maybe that's the reason for the poor service. Food was cold, some of the fries from our order seemed to be mixed with old fries of a different flavour, yogurt was runny. Drinks came long after we had finished our meal and they missed out items in a set meal. The food, while generally decent, was not worth the high price. It's not bad food, but I think the subpar service and price made the experience a poor one overall.

Got a soup of the day and this is what I was served before I had touched it. It wasn’t even half filled in that tiny bowl. Swensens always had a special place in my heart bc I loved coming here all of my childhood. Manager kept staring and walking around without attending to anyone. I’ll never return here again

I won't recommend coming here for a western meal . Order a steak and chicken . First cut on my chicken it was still raw on some part . Inform the staff and they was fast enough to take it away for a replacement . So the replacement chicken came back ... piping hot all good right... until the first cut... microwave.... seriously coffee shop does better then restaurant now a days . Don't worry I won't be going back ever again
