All the dishes were a disappointment. The soup lacks taste and fragrance for a stew - watered down but with salt. The fish and chicken were dry as well. Unfortunately I witnessed the chilli takeaway container fell on the floor and one staff picked up while the other staff immediately poured chilli in it.

wished I had checked the reviews here first. Indeed the food portion is small and there are no curry provided. For the hefty price you are paying, there are better ayam penyet alternatives - tastier and more filling

I feel that this place shouldn’t get such low review. It’s really not that bad and after started eating I decided to give a review. It’s really not bad and the chillie is still as good. Chicken is flavorful as well

This relatively small and humble restaurant is located on level 1 of Rivervale Mall. However, the front door is facing the main road so technically it’s not inside the mall; if you’re looking to locate it you’d be entering this restaurant from the outside. They have a pretty wide variety of food and drinks (see attached photos for menu). My visit was to takeaway Ayam Penyet with rice; took less than 10 mins for my order at 12:30pm which is alright. The taste was very underwhelming. Chicken meat was dry and the flavour of the fried chicken was not there. The redeeming factor is the spicy sambal chilli but still couldn’t “save” the chicken. Portion of chicken is normal to me. I would expect more from a relatively big franchise chain. I wouldn’t return for this ayam penyet even if I was craving for it, at least not until I probably see better reviews from others in the future.

Went to dine in here and food was good despite the reviews here. I recommend getting their Lele Bakar(grilled lele). Fish was soft and the kicap manis all over the fish was 💯💯 try getting their grilled options if u have yet to try!!

Always a pleasure to dine or takeaway from Ayam Penyet Ria, with many satisfying meals so far, my favourites include Bebek Bakar, Bebek penyet, Ayam Penyet and most recently cumi penyet! Good serving and portion, also appreciate the sambal with kangkong that comes with every dish, just adds on to the ooomph factor!

Ordered on grabfood. Food inside got hair !!!! Stuck inside the food!! The restaurant refused to accept it. The food tasted not fresh and not nice at all. Will never ever buy again. Somemore so expensive $8.90 for food with hair. You can definitely eat more safety other restaurant lol. And the delivery and food preparation so slow. This is the last time buying bye.

Food is ordinary. Soto is watery. Tahu telor is very oily. Ordered dori sambal matah always missed out the sambal matah. Ordered take away not given cutlery (remember they will not provide if you dont ask). Ordered so much and asked for KECAP soya sauce, must pay extra. Once entered the restaurant is full with smoke and smell very strong from the kitchen causing attire all smelly. No proper exhaust at kitchen. The tall guy with spectacle at the cashier has no hospitality at all, not suitable to be at front line. I believe many experienced the same but didn't speak up.

I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. Most importantly, the every food especially their Ayam Penyet and Tahu Telor tasted great! It’s a must try !

The Chicken was cooked perfectly and the oxtail soup is very well stewed to enhance the taste of the meat. Tahu telur goreng is a must to satisfy your crave for delicate Indonesian dish. Not to mention, the beverage there are on point.

Extremely pleased with the service rendered by friendly new faces at the outlet! Food awesome as always… and really appreciate the outlet looking cleaner than before. Haven’t been here in ages due to bad experience with a rude male Indo-Chinese supervisor before. So glad he’s no longer around which was icing on the cake!

First time da bao from Rivervale Mall. I really love the staffs very helpful and friendly even I da bao back only. The portion is good compare to other place. And you get what you see from the menu. Why I said so bcos I always got cheated from other branch; either they didn’t give me tempe or didn’t give Tau gua. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Will come here dine in or da bao if I craving for ayam/fish penyet.

A malay staff was attentive n quick once we (5 of us) came in, and arranged tables for us. Staff Marcus went extra miles to get keropok as their keropok sold out ytd during the weekend. Dishes are all good and served quite fast.. We enjoyed our lunch.

Regular diner here. Take-out regularly too. Love the food here and it's just a stone throw away from our place. So convenient and the price is reasonable. Its simply worth it.

One of the few places open during Chinese new year, the ayam penyet and fried fish was not bad. Satay and fried enoki mushroom quite tasty. The avocado was so so only. Overall can eat.
