Tried on a Saturday evening. It appears that the shrimp Vadai is selling all the time, therefore you can most probably get hot Shrimp Vadai anytime you walk in. Also have other items in the menu including vegetation Vadai. The place has a queue, but it moves fast. Vadai is tasty and definitely value for money, 1 Shrimp Vadai = S$1

We went on a weekday lunchtime. No long queue to complain about. The guy at the counter was friendly. We got ourselves 6 prawn vadai and some chicken skin. We liked the taste of the chicken skin, crunchy but didn't taste too raw or anything. Prawn vadai was quite oily but was fluffy and nice, especially for the wet weather. I just wish the prawn was cleaned properly because the dirt was quite thick in the prawns.

If you like a vadai, this is truly one good one. We would buy quite by 20s and freeze them, airfry to reheat and it makes a great afternoon snack. With green chilli for me

Tried both the veggie and shrimp ones. They were both good but a little oily. I liked the veggie ones better as the shrimp is whole so it needs to be peeled - great value for money

One of the best vadais I have tasted. I had 2 (prawn vadai and onion vadai) in the hawker centre and was blown away. So soft and chewy on the inside while crispy on the outside! The onion one was better. I bought 10 more to takeaway. 8 onion and 2 veggie vadais. Super! Veggie vadai was very nice too so I would say my fav were onion and veggie vadai.

Tasty! Worth to try when you visit Singapore! The chili was a bit spicy but it was a really good combination with the prawn vadai!

Correction: this outlet is NOT The Original Vadai. This is located @Blk17, opposite GMFC. More items at this outlet.. goreng pisang $3 not good. Was surprised he popped my order into the microwave😅. Hard & chewy battered pisang😝Also tried the chix skin $5 crispy 👍. Saw that he broke one pièce to make sure it’s crispy. Did not try their vadai.

We saw a long queue and decided to drop by after some shopping at vietnamese supermarket along joo chiat rd. The prawn vadai is nice, it's tasty with chewy texture and not oily. The gizard and liver both hard. The chicken skin is crispy if you get the thin one, but watch the feather, it's unplucked and you can see it everywhere. The dal okay only. So as the name mentioned - original vadai, get the vadai to get the best.

I tried the original prawn and anchovies vadai at a pasar malam kiosk. Light, crunchy, well cooked, so freaking delicious! I’m a huge fan, can’t wait to have more!

My favourite vadai, so was happy to see that there was no queue on a Sunday. Maybe it's because they have many branches now. Other than the popular prawn, I highly recommend the ikan bilis and onion. The vadais here are not only tasty but have a nice chewy texture. Unfortunately cannot eat too many as they are quite oily.

Insofar as Vadai is concerned, this is my favourite. Among the varieties of vadai, their prawn vadai is the best I feel. The dough is chewy, light and soft. The prawn is of quite a decent size and fresh. I have never failed to at least sink my teeth into one whenever I am at this Food Centre.
