Got to know how to appreciate coffee, identify the properties, follow by hands on experience with espresso machine with safety measures in place. Trainers are very patience and answers all concerns. A place where Good Coffee and Good People meets.

We enjoyed our lesson with Khai very much. We arrived 10 minutes early and Khai was already prepared to receive us. He was clearly passionate about coffee and gave us the background and basic techniques of appreciating coffee and developing our palates. There was so much to learn and knowledge to absorb. He was patient and detailed in answering our queries, as we have really undeveloped palates and noses (olfactory senses). I understand more clearly the process of coffee making; from sourcing, roasting, all the way to having the cup of specialty coffee right in front of you. The venue/workshop location was very nicely furnished and conducive for our learning. I will be more mindful now while drinking my daily cup of coffee, noticing the flavour, aroma, and taste. Also, I absolutely loved the cup of flat white Khai brewed for me. It was a fulfilling Saturday learning about this drink that is so closely tied to our daily routines, full of history and memories, at a delightful venue and even more pleasant teacher, Khai. Thank you, Dutch Colony Coffee Co.!!!

I attended the Fundamentals of a Barista workshop conducted by Khairul. I had an enriching session learning about espresso extraction and milk texturing from Khairul, from the theory to the hands on practice. He tailored the workshop content to focus on the areas of coffee that I was interested in, and helped me to understand the techniques and nuances involved in pulling an espresso shot or making a cup of milk coffee. Overall, it was a really enjoyable workshop, and I am looking forward to attending the Pour Your Hearts Out class next.

I did a “Pour your Hearts Out” milk frothing and latte art course run by Khairul. It was great fun and I learnt a lot. Khairul was very patient and encouraging and actually watched and provided hands on guidance for improvement. I thoroughly recommend this for a fun morning or afternoon - and a lot of coffee !!

Attended coffee appreciation workshop as part of corporate team bonding. Khai and team were amazing! Workshop content was interesting and informative. Khai also shared his and his teams personal journey with coffee and experience at competitions. We ended off with a cupping session of various coffee varieties. Throughout the session we were also provided with coffees of our choice. We also had a chance to win prizes via a quiz at the end. The certificates to take home were also a nice touch. Venue was nice and comfortable as well. Overall a great experience and our team had lots of fun learning and tasting coffee!

We attended a coffee appreciation/cupping workshop and had a great experience learning about it. The session took us on a journey that highlighted ’s the profiles of coffee grown in different regions. Our trainer was Khai, who was really nice and shared extensively about his experience in the coffee industry and knowledge of coffee. The certificates given to us is a nice gesture in what was already an excellent and fun class. I would highly recommend attending the Coffee Gustation class for anyone looking to start their coffee journey or want to understand more about the many different coffee processes and varieties!
