Place was super busy even after dinner time, waffle was crispy and airy. Had maple syrup and whipped cream for toppings. Ordered the peppermint ice cream, gelato was thick and creamy tho not a fan of peppermint its still enjoyable.

Their plain waffle felt that it was too plain with a scoop of ice cream. For the price, maybe some icing sugar? Felt that it was too plain but the Choc-Oreo waffle was really good! Ordered a side of place water as it’s very sweet! I’ve cream selections are good. Plus, the seating area is very cramped up and could do a little bigger table.

Our third & last visit to this outlet… Giving 3 star for their waffle since my kids still into their waffle — But definitely not this outlet unless is a pick and go ONLY their ice cream Counter staff not the best, very unwelcoming. Was a Saturday afternoon, only 2 staff around. Order Waffle, Mocha and Twisted Fries which was raw - 🥴 Told the staff but gotten a reply: “it can be still eaten as they use something identical to air fryer” 🫤🙄 Even my kids refuse to eat. Despite is not crispy it was very soggy. Cold Mocha - arrive after 15/20min. We can understand they are down with staff but our mocha was only served after they had served drink on other 4 tables… and worst was our mocha was also tasteless 😅 Otherwise waffles and Ice cream is still edible for dine-in.

Decided to give Gelare a go since it's half price on waffles on Tuesdays. I'm waiting for the waffle to be done but that's perfectly fine. I don't expect it immediately. But what I think could use improvement is the service. I had the misfortune of being attended to by this lady and it was evident that she was either jaded from serving customers the entire day or just had a rough day. Regardless, adopting the lackadaisical attitude towards customers doesn't bode well with an F&B outlet. As a single customer, I was asked to sit at a table which was used for storage (the view says it all). But in all honesty, it beats not getting a seat at all; so no qualms there. Maybe they could have stowed away the carton boxes better? But I won't know what logistical challenges they may be facing here so may not be fair of me to expect a clean dining environment. In conclusion, with this 15-min encounter, I've all but made up my mind to head home, dig up the vouchers I have for Gelare and rip them to bits. Just in case I happen to forget this sour episode in the near future. Unlikely, but I shall not take chances. Ps: food finally arrived after 20 mins.

☹️☹️☹️I don't even feel like add photos but I do hope some other competitor with waffle menu be around here soon. Service Suck , Poor Attitude like can't wait to go home , Waffle honesty average and the ice cream so so. ☹️☹️☹️

Waffle and drinks are on the sweeter side. Would have enjoyed more if it were less sweet. The area was comfortable enough but can be a squeeze if someone need to walk past your table as there is only one small path along the restaurant.

Went for Tues promotion. Found that this outlet had very cramped seating arrangement at back of counter. Taste wise is ok. Service was a bit slow in taking order.

the service standards were pretty questionable…. For more context, they have half priced waffles for Tuesdays and it does not include any ice cream . So we decided to go ahead with the half priced promotion AND ordered another two scoops of ice cream (ala carte price) and requested to be on the waffles. However, we were told by the server that she cant fulfil our request as the “half priced waffle” and “two scoops of ice cream” are two separate entity, has to be charged separately, therefore served “separately”. We turned speechless after hearing her explanation as to why they cant serve any ice cream scoops we ordered onto the waffle. Then whats the point of having ice cream waffles at Gelare? Ridiculous service procedure. Eventually we had to dig out the ice cream from each cups and place it onto the waffles on our own. If thats the case - service charge of 10% shouldn’t be incurred. Overall, Gelare service standards have dropped over the years - definitely not recommending to others anymore.

worth it if you go on tuesdays as they have classic waffles half-price off :) i love sweet things. got the cookie dough + praline & cream flavours. didn't expect the praline to be SO good. anyways staff are nice and friendly!

The food taste is terrible. The staff coughing non stop while preparing the food . I totally dare not to eat . The service is poor .

Extremely bad experience I have today. They make me wait for 45 mins for a chicken ham carbonara while I am the only one customer in the restaurant during that time (I ordered at 1.15pm, and the carbonara served at 1.45pm). When I asked at around 1.30pm, they just say "wait!!!" With a very annoying attitude. Further more, the carbonara is microwave and there are no taste at all. It is not worth for the SGD13.90.

Went for an afternoon coffee on a Monday. Had an espresso and a cup of ice cream I shared with my daughter. First the pros: - very good coffee and ice cream. Slight crystallization in the ice cream which is indicative of warming then freezing again. - the thinner woman who was working there was quick with service and friendly. Cons: -Appearance. It’s a pretty unorganized and inefficient place. Looks more like a hawker in the middle of what should be a nice mall. Age is shown everywhere and too much equipment s d product is exposed when they should be stored properly. I would not eat anything but the ice cream and coffee here, so cannot attest to the other items - the large woman who also worked there was not pleasant at all. The skinny woman was very busy with preparing items and helping customers while the large woman was just sitting in the middle of the food preparation area slurping noodles and scrolling her phone. I politely said excuse me to get her attention and instead of helping she shouted something to the skinny woman but didn’t get a reply because she was busy! Finally, and begrudgingly the large woman got up to see what I wanted. The transaction went through but what a completely unprofessional person. Dressed like she just got out of bed. Get rid of large lady and clean/organize the place and this would be a 5 star coffee shop

Their icecream often looked melty in the container. But ice cream with waffles tasted great! Nevertheless very pricey that i couldn't bear to order 2 sets of double scoop waffle, but just 1 set to share...

Super bad experience here.. the sign clearly said to wait to be seated but staff there told us in a rude way to just take a seat. When we ordered, we asked for 1 single scoop of ice cream (together with other items). When we checked our receipt,realized that the cashier heard us wrongly is heard WAFFLE w single scoop of ice cream instead. When we told the cashier it was wrong and to change the order back (with refund), they refused.. like what??? So in the end we had no choice but to eat the waffle one with was $17 btw (crazy price!!). In addition to this, the food was sooo bad - the popcorn chicken and fries were so soggy!! Would never never come back here again, and please please please DO NOT come here!
