A lovely place inside a boutique hotel called Daulat. From the people who bring you Mad Sailor, the food is tasty: we ordered the beef sandwich, beef rice bowl and lamb rice bowl. Lamb is a tad too hard. Everything else was good..the lunch set is $15 each, no drinks

Healthy bowls were pretty decent but açai bowl took rather long to be ready. And by then, bulk of it has already melted ... it’s a small and nice place for lunch if you’re nearby and hungry but doesn’t warrant a special trip down to try.

Healthy food tucked in Madras St. Had no accessible parking lots so we parked a distance away and journeyed there on foot. Had a nice seating area outdoors. Only thing is that food took quite long to be ready and did not satisfy our hunger pangs for dinner.

The food really wasn't fresh, eg the smoked salmon had a weird smell and the vegetables were a little dry. Plus, the bowls took quite long to arrive despite the restaurant being empty. Honestly I wouldn't go again even if the food looks good

We were very excited to try Santap(another word for makan in Malay) which was co-located with the Daulat, a boutique hotel. The cafe have been receiving quite a buzz down social media and thought the menu look attractive and worth the visit to fill in our Saturday adventures. When we arrived at the cafe, we saw an open air-styled seating, we look around the place and stood a couple of minutes but unfortunately no one came to check upon us. I had reserved seating through Chope, and there was one empty table with my name written on it and thats quite easy to spot so we just were happy to self service ourself to the table. We found the dessert (plus Acai bowls) and drinks menu on the table but not the sandwiches and main course menu so I've decided to find the menu. It wasn't very difficult to find the other menu on the long wooden table near to the kitchen area, but still no one came to check on us if we needed some help (or at least check if I am really the person who reserved the table?) I eventually made my order and we were just very excited to start santaping(eating). We made three orders, Chuck meatballs, salmon pizza for the mains and berry bomb as for the dessert to be served later after the main course. The wait for the food was considerably long, but we had a good chat, catching up with each other so the wait was ok for us as long as the food comes. However, this is when things started to get a bit unacceptable; the staff came to us to inform that the salmon pizza is unavailable and to make other choice of food only after 40 mins. That was uncalled for and I started to think, wait you mean you have not start preparing our food all this while? I eventually continued with the order with another main course and decided to wait for our food and after a while, the staff decided to give a free chocolate cake. Which was quite nice to be honest, but to eat dessert before main course is a little strange I feel. The Chuck meatball came first (after another 15mins or so) and by this time, we were just hoping the food was worth the wait. Food looks promising and nicely garnished however when my friend took her first cut of the meatball, it was raw. I feel bad for my friend as she had to remove the raw parts of the meatball, eating only most of the exterior surface of the meat. We didn't want to alert the staff at this moment partly because we could not afford to wait anymore time for another dish to be prepared. However when the 2nd main course came, I couldn't help it but to inform the staff about the meatball. To be fair, the staff offered another plate but we told him that it's ok, we just want to inform you. (and also we feel bad cause we were offered free cakes already) We had to cancel the Acai bowl at this note too. We paid for the two meals after we are done with the food. All in all, it wasn't really a positive experience and would not come again based on the service and quality of food. I would not recommend this place unless you have time to Tunggu & Santap(eat & wait).
