One of my favourite stalls in Bedok Corner. Would always see long queues here esp during lunch time and weekends. They recently increased prices again and portions become smaller, but still very happy to support them as their food is always good. Their Nasi Ambeng is really delicious with a blend of sweet, savoury and umami flavours. Beef is slightly on the drier and tougher side but the rendang sauce is fatty and sedap. Bergedil is well fried and the assorted vegetables are very flavourful. Sambal is spicy and shiok. The only downside is that their food tends to be a bit (very) oily. Their Nasi Ayam Penyet ($7) is another one of my favourites from this stall. The chicken is seasoned and fried perfectly, and their tahu goreng and tempe goreng are so damn good. And not tiny af like the other penyet stall AHEM. Pair it with their super tasty savoury soto soup and the spicy sambal for the best of both worlds. It’s not always available so gotta ask. The photo was taken before the chicken ban so I was treated to a nice big piece of chicken! Honourable mention to their lontong and ayam masak lemak chilli padi - the gravy is so so good like their food in general. Pair their food with the Teh Ice ($1.80) from the stall next door and you get a really delicious and affordable meal.

The best Nasi Ambeng takeout I ever encountered in Singapore ~ generous serving, freshly cooked delicious & authentic dishes served on pretty & classic dulang (tray) and best of all, very reasonable pricing! Way better and cheaper than Hajah Maimunah version. Honest stall seller too! Highly recommended for Nasi Ambeng!

1 of the stalls at bedok corner. Only tried their side dishes rather than their satay which didn’t seem to get raving reviews. Food quality: Above average taste, good is prepared fresh and hot and almost as close to ordering except for the Nasi Padang dishes. + Lontong gravy colour looks rather light but taste is ok with sufficient coconut and flavour. + Mee soto with chicken has flavour and begedill was freshly prepared and hot. Food portion / Price: Prices are average and similar to other stalls in the hawker centre. Portions also average. Crowd: Will have a queue during meal times but turn around is fast. Payment: PayNow or cash accepted.

The satay is meaty and flavourful. When it arrived, the aroma is irristable. However you have to eat quickly as the satay stays tender when hot. It will be a bit tough for old people when the meat turns cold. We like the satay gravy consistency and the doneness of the ketupat. Its our first time buying from this stall. We will definitely patronise again in future 🤤

The best satay and the best “kuah” satay in Singapore. It’s thick and very great

Ordered the chicken and mutton satay. Tender, though there are large chunks of fat. Flavours of spices good, and the satay peanut sauce was good.

Sedapness depends on one's tastebud, some like it with a lot of MSG, some are sensitive. But if you are worried about getting cancer and lead a healthy lifestyle, then this is not for you. Nicely marinated mutton pieces, arranged with alternate rows of succulent fatty parts, shows that the owner do care about making a good satay. Generous amount of kunyit, halbas marinate. Grilled to perfection with a charred carcinogenic burnt proteins, nothing beats satay solo (when eaten right off the griller). The mutton is less sweeter than before and it was delicious. Sometimes, temperatures do runs high due to the long list of orders, facing heat in a small cubicle, so spare some thought or just skip if you're in a rush. Hawkers are mere mortals, like you and me at work. Weekends wait could be up to 45min which pakcik will let you know upfront before you put in your order. (Usually other stall is the same so why not satay solo instead?) Be kind.

The uncle serving the satay here was EXTREMELY RUDE to us. Don’t bother going here. He was grumbling so much throughout the entire time we were ordering. If you don’t know how to serve your customers nicely, just close your shop.

2022 update: It's back to the standard of it's glory days! We reconfirmed by heading there twice in the past 2 weeks just to be sure becuase it was Horrible 4 yrs ago (ref below). The Kambing is now wonderful with coarse ground spices and the traditional piece of lemak in the centre. Nicely terbakar too. Sedikit hangus - best! Babat is also grilled nicely so that it ends up crispy on the outside but soft and not too chewy on the inside. The only thing I grumble about now is the hati selalu habis! At this standard, I have no issues with the increased price at 90cents a stick. Other places charging the same can't deliver this standard. Re-adding to the Happier Choice Food Trail list. My earlier 2018 review: Ref. Photos. The meat here these days is hard and dry. The only thing saving it from 1 star is the spice mix which remains nice and flavourful as it has always been. The portion of meat on each stick has also somewhat shrunk! The sauce also seems to be missing but I don’t know what it is. Just plain peanut flavour now and nothing else. No detectable spice at all. This is No Longer on my list for places to go to for satay.
