Just next to the two men bagel house. Chicken is tender and well marinated. The rice roll wrapped in leaf is so fragrant and tasty. Minus one star as the soup is not served hot. Bill came up to be around $30 plus. One of the nicest Indonesian food I had in Singapore. Would visit again.

The food here taste really good. The rice roll is something new to me and loving it. It’s fill with fragrance and tasted yummy. The chili that goes with all the dishes are all spot on not overly spicy and fill with fragrant. Service are excellent and priced very reasonable.

Awesome place to enjoy Indonesian food! Everything I ordered is tasting good and smells nice! It's as close to what I had in Indonesia. Their chilli could have more spice and heat, probably they made it for the Singaporean taste. Will come back again when I pass this area for nice Indonesian food 😍😍😍

Simply loving it. First time to try Balinese food and well it taste so yummy. Sauces provided along were icing on the cake. I finished initial serving of the sauces and asked for more. Team is friendly. Would love to come again and try some other stuff for sure. Highly recommended

Convenient and tasty Indonesian food. Taste is excellent and authentic. No holding back on the spices. Dropped by for a quick bite with friend. Cozy and quiet for dinner (Not sure about lunch time.) Please do try when nearby.

A Halal Muslim shop, managed by experienced muslim ladies. Shop serves Indonesian Muslim fare ... which were delicious and average-priced. My friend from Indonesia enjoyed the soup best. He mentioned that the rest of the dishes taste different from those in Java ... but still delicious. I guess the shop owner adapted some local flavourings to our local tastes. No alcohol is served here ... just soft beverages. Service can be improved ... but I understand they may be short-handed. Ambience ... no choice ... as the shop is already small, with only a few tables and space. Overall ... a nice experience in a cosy shop ..

Third time eating from this restaurant. We ordered the Bumbu Kemangi (chicken) and Soto Ayam Kuning, and both are very nice and flavourful. The rice in Bumbu Kemangi came wrapped in pandan leaves and was very fragrant. The stir fried chicken was well marinated with aromatic spices. The chicken soup was hearty and homely. The only con was the glass noodles in the soup was quite little. But overall a very satisfying indonesian meal!

Totally impressed with the food here! Love everything on the plate. The rice is very fragrant and tasted like chicken rice. Chili was great! Highly recommended for a flavourful meal! Only downside is it can be quite hectic to find a seat during lunch time, but the food is worth the wait.

Been to this place at icon village and the one at eastpoint a few times. Pix showed delivery version. Authentic Indonesia food so yummy! You might think the price is on the high side but it’s the quality you are paying for and not at exorbitant prices actually. Pls visit both outlets if you can and keep this place afloat!

The food was great! Tried the ayam bakar bara, gado gado and bakwan jagung (corn fritters). The flavoured rice was very tasty and the chicken was delicious. The chilli is quite spicy for me. A bit pricey for the portion served. It is always very crowded during lunchtime on weekdays so it is best to go before 12pm.

Grilled chicken set with the grilled rice is so nice, and soto betawi is also very nice, although pomfret could be marinated nicer way. Ambience would be better at Bara outlet at Eastpoint mall.

Am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food there. The grilled chicken drumstick was tender and moist… but it’s not much bigger than the drumstick from a spring chicken. The veggies were fresh. The soup was flavorful and had lots of beef in it. The crisps were nice and crunchy but not enough of it. Hahaha. Overall a nice experience but the cramped sitting area and the fact that it’s right by an undivided walkway kinda spoils the experience a little.

Had lunch at Bara Food Tanjong Pagar in Icon Village. The highlight of my meal the pe flavorful fried chicken. What sets this dining experience apart is the creative presentation of the rice, which comes wrapped in bamboo leaves. The aromatic fragrance of the bamboo leaves infused into the rice added an extra layer of delight to each bite. If you're looking for a place with delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and a touch of creativity, Bara Food Tanjong Pagar is the perfect choice.

Food is great. Chicken is tender and the rice is extremely fragrant. The sweet sauce that goes with the ayam bakar is excellent. Not overly sweet till it overpowers everything else. Chilli is very spicy. May or may not be a good thing, depending on your preference. Seats are limited. Go early to chope a seat. Would recommend this place to all Indonesian food lovers.

This is a pretty small and humble outlet serving some quality Indo food. We took grilled chicken and beef soup. It was amazing and certainly beyond expectations. The sets/dishes are not expensive. Chilli was amazing. Rice was extremely flavoured - later we knew that it's called Nasi Bakar bara. Simply amazing food. Highly recommended.

Ordered beef and chicken. Price is very ex compared from others, especially beef. The set does not even include any drinks. The beef was hard to chew, and I was so tired to chew that i couldn't finish the whole meal. I also do not like how the cashier’s technique of misleading customers to order extra thinking that it was part of the meal. They were asking if u want this or that, pointing the pix.. without even emphasis if you want to "add on" Favourite- corn fritters

1st visit. Ordered; Set B, 👍 however the deep fried chicken (Upper quarter with wing) was a little dry (the breast meat). The rice was flavourful. Set D, 👍 the chicken drumstick was moist and rice was flavourful. Soto ayam 👍 and Eggplants 👍. My favourite.

Halal food at Icon Village! The signature item here is Nasi Bakar Bara (Indonesian grilled rice), which is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Bara sets are priced from $14.50 to $18.50, and come with various combinations of rice and meat/ seafood like Javanese-style fried chicken, Balinese mixed chicken & prawns satay and crispy pomfret. Other than Bara sets, they also have appetisers and soup dishes on the menu. The serving size of Begedil was bigger than normal and also priced accordingly. The Soto Betawi (beef soup with potatoes, tomatoes and spring onions) and Soto Ayam (chicken soup with rice vermicelli and shredded chicken meat) were both pretty good.
