Chicken Masala (SGD $12) @ Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant. . Since arriving in Singapore in June 2005, this casual dining eatery has been well-received, recognised for their dishes that are bold and strong in taste, layered with a punchy blend of spices. . Their rendition features a rich, thick gravy, full of peppercorns, turmeric, spices, and curry leaves, with bold meaty peppery spice savoury salty herbal earthy flavours. . The bone-in chunks of chicken are tender with a light chew, picking up the gravy well. Best paired with rice or bread, as the peppery gravy is deliciously addictive.

The taste is just moderate. I don't think this meal is worth with the price. I ordered vegetarian byrani and masala tea. Each cost SGD10 and SGD5 before Gst and service charge respectively. I unable to figure out how do they charge as I paid 17.70. Stardard service charge is 10% and Gst 7%. I asked for the receipt and the staff unable to understand me. I ordered the food at the counter and the only service was to deliver food to my table. I don't think I should pay for the service charge. Furthermore, her face mask was not in place even asking her to wear it properly. Maybe she unable to understand me. Even when I was eating, her face mask didn't cover her nose and walking around. Wearing proper face mask is important during the pandamic/endemic.

Staff are friendly. We ordered a Mini Tiffin with all the works and my craving for Onion Utampam was rewarded when it is available here. Definitely will be back next time I wants to eat Indian.

Visited airport outlet and ordered Mutton meal and paid $17+. The mutton came with 2 pcs of bone and the meat portion was very little with all the pieces are very small. When asked the manager he told that the mutton portion is the same for all and bone is complimentary. After the complaint they served with another portion of mutton without bone. The vegetables served with the meal was also of Low quality and no taste. I will never visit this place in future and advise public to think carefully before visiting Anjappar’s outlet in Singapore

Located a T1, level 2 along with Kailash Parbat ( which was closed in September 2022) before the departure entry. So plan the visit before getting into immigration. Taste was very good and better than our expectations. Not all items in menu will be available so check with them while choosing. Must try masal tea.

I am a fan of Anjappar, I usually head downtown whenever I have some cravings. Since I have a crave and I'm in the airport I go all the way to T1 just to have my favourite butter chicken. Now everything strink or got downgrade here but the price is still at premium. Butter chicken comes down to a rice bowl size . Quality and taste is a mix mash of masala. Simply not the typical butter chicken I get from Anjappar. Tomatoes are not pronounced. The worst part is the chicken are some probably left over tandoori chunks that you could taste the char grilled favour. This butter chicken has no heart nor soul. Filter coffee doesn't comes with the typical metal cups and milk. It's all in one paper cup. Super downgrade from their standard. The staff is kind enough to pass me a spare cup for me to 'pull' my coffee. If you are paying the listed price, I felt quality and quantity is lacking. One ray of light here is that , they have special set menu that have like a combo of stuff on a plate not seen at downtown. These prices are reasonable it seems. In Changi Airport, choices are not limited I might say.

Anjappar never disappoints you!! It was so good dinning. Entered in after our Jewel visit, we ordered Mini tiffin, Ghee roast, mutton biryani, parotta, chettinadu chicken masala, chicken kothu parotta, apple juice n lime juice. Everything was so good, nothing to point wrong. I would definitely say Anjappar is one of the best restaurants in Singapore for South Indian food..

Reasonable option to grab a dosa before departure - it's upstairs in the public area. Prices are too high, even for Changi: Masala Dosa plus Masala Tea clock in at $15, incl. a 10% service charge, which for a counter order place is pushing it. That's why I'd give only 3 stars instead of 4.

Worst food. Got idly and Vada. Looks like old idly and Vada heated in microwave and given. Oil smell in Vada and idly quality is bad. Also price mentioned is excluding tax and service charges. Better go to Burger King near it . #wasted

Food is okay okay la, still got lots to improve. The only downside is that, it is super expensive. Comparing to other restaurants in the vicinity, the price is really too expensive. They charge 10% service charge but we have to order at the counter? This is ridiculous. Why do we have to pay service charge when we have to queue & order at the counter? Where is their waiter that is supposed to take our order? Teh Tarik cost $4.50? Plain thosai cost $6? Briyani is expensive but reasonable for the taste but everything else is too expensive. Teh Tarik should be $3 the very max. Plain thosai should be $4 the very max. The price on the menu must really reduce to remain competitive and to have regular customers coming back again. Price on the menu is not inclusive of GST. Think about it? 10% service charge and 8% GST? May not consider to come again, rather eat elsewhere in the airport.

Simply Fantastic - I was transiting at Singapore and was really short of time when I stumbled upon this place - I promised the owner I would write up a good review so here it is - This place is at Terminal 1 at Level 3 before immigration clearance which means any member of the public can eat here even if you are not flying. Singapore has three operational terminals and even if your flight lands at other terminals, you can still catch the free singapore airport skytrain and come here. This place is also right across Singapore airports recent major attraction the Jewel so a great place to visit for Breakfast or a meal at any time of the day given it is open 24 hrs at the time of this review. My flight was at 0045 in the morning and I went to this place at 2315 in the night for a quick meal. The restaurant serves predominantly South Indian food with some Indian Chinese options is casual but very classy, very clean, a humble owner, and very tasty food at a price which is very affordable. I had a perfectly cooked Tomato and capsicum uttapum and paid $10. I have lived in Australia for over 25 years now so I am very picky with the places I eat at due to hygiene and what I can tolerate and had no issues picking this as a choice This is by far one of the best places to eat if you are after a top notch quality affordable food in a good quality setting. Thanks to the owners. I would definitely bring the family for a meal when we visit Singapore next time

I ordered for Prawn & egg fried rice for which the order was mistaken as Prawn and egg fry, for which the staff was kind enough to send me the right item without charges. But indeed the quality of Fried rice was terrible. They are charging SGD18 for this friend rice and I was really disappointed that the prawn was not even shrimp of its kind and cut in to few pieces. I have add this fried several times in the past and now for whatsoever reason they changed their recipe and manage to fill in the customers with this type food(I should call as). Guys please have some mercy on the young customers and what they are eating. This is not just a hawker center food. This is so called "Fine Dining Restaurant"

Food is ok lah... Bought the expensive masala dosa, then realised I should have bought the cheaper plain dosa... not much masala in there! No potato due to war in Ukraine?

I loved their curry and Masala Tea, which is quite similar to Ginger tea, but less spicy and more fragrant. Overall price bit on the high side, i guess cant be helped as the location (considered tourist area). Also they kinda shorthanded with 1 pax manning the cashier at early morning (5am ish) and also the server, but carried out order pretty effectively.

Had a flight that evening and stumbled upon this restaurant , it is a brand in the Southern part of India , so we entered without hesitation or looking up on ratings .... The Ambience was neat and clean , very chic and had cosy seatings ... The restaurant was situated in terminal 1 , so is open to everyone who visits the airport ... We had ordered a light meal and tea cause we were travelling ... so the orders arrive The Idlis , vadai, Ghee Dosa and Tea .. but two of each when we had ordered only one of each except Idlis and vadai ... we try communicating with the Staff only to get a super rude treatment , the Staff was like there's no way we got a wrong order , and finally changed the order after showing faces and attitude and a good 10 minutes ! Whatever ! the food was decent but pricey and portion size was smaller compared to lot of other restaurants in vicinity ! I would have gone back to this placd if not for the terrible customer service ...

Worse place to dine at. Indeed, no service but there is service charge when I went to counter to self order. Worse… the marketing is zero and extremely misleading. Whatever you see in the pictures does not appear to be what you received at table. Just take a look at the mutton biryani we ordered. The pictures speaks a thousand words. When I feedback to store manager why the mutton briyani I received is different from picture… he still tried so hard to explain to me that weekend serves a “more expensive” type of mutton and rice. The rice use is different from the picture. 👏👏 What blatant manner to “convince” a customer. If you cannot sell what you advertised or do misleading marketing to bring in customers… especially non-Indians like myself when we order what we see from pictures on menu… then I think as a huge restaurant chain… you failed. First and last time to Anjappar… PS: Just realise Anjappar called yourself serving the best South India cuisine on their website… and there is no feedback channel or whatsoever, only channel to make reservations. This shows how much Anjappar needs to learn to take in feedback and improve. Also, I should have guess much looking at the thin crowd on a weekend lunchtime at their restaurant, before I decided to eat here.

Wow!!! Really good airport food. Chicken texture is amazingly on point. Curry is deliciously rich. The parotos are also chewy & delicious. 👍
