Penang Culture is a Halal Restaurant located at Changi Airport Terminal 2 and just a few minutes away from Changi Airport MRT Station, Penang Culture is a great place where families and friends can enjoy tasty and value-for-money Penang dishes in a casual and comfortable environment. Food in term of taste can improve, lacking flavors. Especially enjoy having the Egg Oyster.

Can’t travel to Malaysia🇲🇾 for the next 2 weeks? Not to worry, Penang Culture has got you covered with their staggering variety of hawker food that will bring comfort to the soul😌. It might not look aesthetically pleasing at first but I swear its taste and generous portion made up for it😋. For those that’s crazy over cheese🧀 and fresh seafood, this unique combo will definitely satisfy your cravings! In short, I had a good time and experience!

The foods are delicious, they are like the taste just like in Penang. We order Laksa and Cha Kwae Tway or fired flat noodle with prawn. The restaurant is quite nice and families friendly place.

Had the salted egg char kway teow. Taste and portions are reasonable. But it’s too pricey. Would only pay this type of price at the airport. Otherwise, it’s not worth it. The staff were friendly and service was fast.

Ate here before sending my dad off and was greeted with a great view of the transit area while having our lunch. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and approachable. Would recommend eating here if you are flying off or just visiting Changi Terminal 1! They are located at level 3 departure hall #03-19

Not 1st time visit to this restaurant across the Singapore but 1st time review Quite decent food and still acceptable if you want to try the taste for Penang food but no time to fly. The price is quite affordable. The steam fish is fresh and the fried rice portion is quite big.

My recent visit to Penang Culture left much to be desired. While the food was alright, the overall experience was marred by the abysmal service we received. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with indifference from the waitress, who seemed more interested in chatting with her colleagues than attending to incoming customers. After an awkward wait, we were finally seated. When the waitress finally arrived, her attitude was far from welcoming. It was as if she were doing us a favor by taking our orders. She lacked any enthusiasm or knowledge about the menu, providing vague answers to our questions and making us feel like a burden for asking. She then just asked us to order using the QR code provided. As for the food, it was decent at best. The flavors were underwhelming, leaving us feeling like we could have had a better meal at the Burger King opposite the restaurant. To top it all off, when we finally managed to flag down our server to request the bill, they seemed annoyed and impolitely asked us to pay at the counter, further extending our stay at this lackluster establishment.

You'll get a sterilised version of Penang food, though arguably still with some authenticity. We had the Char Kway Teow (with Crab Meat and salted egg with additional cockles), Assam Laksa, Otah, as well as Tea Latte, Bundung and Chendol. The tea latte was weird though, and while I'm not a Penang native, I haven't tasted any tea like this in Penang before, it feels like the tea was steeped for too long as it had a burnt bitter flavour. Bandung was decent, though sweet. The Char Kway Teow was average, nothing special even with the added crab meat and salted egg. The additional portion of cockles was a let down, and the cockles were really small, I'd advise against getting them. Assam Laksa and Otah were decent, though the Chendol is a mixed bag. The coconut milk and ice shavings were done well, however the green rice flour jelly was too dense and mashed. It had a bad texture / mouth feel, and not much in the way of taste. However, staff service here was good (and food is average for an airport, even with my complaints), so kudos to the staff here.

First time here and the food & service was great. Staff were friendly, namely Samuel, Irene and Joanne. The salted egg mantis prawns and cendol were really good. Will be back for more next time!

Great food! Second time we r coming here. Fish is fresh. Satay is great. Hokkien noodle is good. Mixed veg is ok. Chilli is d*mn good! 4 dishes plus 1 drink for 2 people, we spent abt $67. Relatively ok for airport food. Too bad the curry cheese beehoon no longer available. That dish is one of the best. Location also clean and spacious. Highly recommended 😁

Price is affordable and the prawn noodle is the best. Greeted by sweet Irene and it is a pleasant sight to see Samuel always smiling even when he's not serving or talking to customers.

Servings are big and the food was served fast. Taste is good but the curry needs more salt. Overall it’s a great food option at the Changi airport

Good food, cozy environment, friendly staff , what outstanding the most is the cucur udang. The laksa is ok only cannot compare to penang laksa lah obviously but there’s sweet and sour taste so not bad at all. Prawn noodle yummy!

16 Dec 2023: Lunch before our flight to Seoul...ordered the $38 set and the serving portions are reasonable. Rojak was too sweet to our liking, fuyong egg and white kopi chicken are okay and sayur lodeh is the best. Added chef specialty brinjal and we enjoyed it.

Before clearing the custom, at upstairs of departure floor, there are several restaurant, Penang culture is one of them. The dishes are yummy and the prices are all reasonable, highly recommended for the family lunch/dinner.

Located in a convenient part of the airport. Easily accessible. Service was good, excellent! Really impressed with the service and response for any request. Service is top notch. Food was incredible, really very delicious and perfectly cooked. I am extremely amazed with how good the food was. Definitely worth your every dollar! Price wise is very competitive and reasonable. Affordable considering the location and environment. Will definitely come again for sure! Everything was just so good.. Especially the food, 10/10!

Intentionally chose an airline that transits through Singapore just to eat their assam laksa, that is extremely amazingly delicious! Never dissapoint🫶🏾❤️ The yuanyang also makes me wide awake! Oh and it’s halal! Definitely will come here again on the next visit☺️

First time trying Penang Culture, at the branch located at the airport. Ordered Rojak, Fish Skin Rojak, and Cuttlefish Kang Kong. Was looking for a snack instead of a full meal, as I did not want to overeat just before my flight. The Rojak was on point. The sauce was the highlight that brought out the best in the various ingredients. The youtiao (dough) was crispy, and I did not get the feeling that any single ingredient was "over-represented" in the dish. (In other Rojak dishes, I might seem that there had been too much turnip, or too much cucumber. Here, the balance was done well.) 4.5/5 The 5 star discovery was the fish skin rojak. I like salted egg fish skin, yet when I tasted fish skin rojak, I literally went: "WOW!" Indeed, the pairing of rojak sauce and crispy fish skin is so brilliant. The combination was so addictive that I had to deliberately and conscientiously control the quantity of my consumption so that I did not deprive my wife of her fair share. 5/5 In contrast, their Cuttlefish Kang Kong was a bit of an anti-climax. 3.5/5 Will definitely return to try their other dishes next time I'm at the airport, or I might check out their other branches around Singapore.

Solid food at reasonable prices! Decided to grab dinner here before our flight and it was a good decision. Feels like there is a lack of staff but both the staff were hardworking, prompt and polite. Good choice of food as well.

Enticing malaysian eatery from its location on the upper level of T1 (public area). You will have to leave the passenger area if you are inside the terminal, and re-enter if you are there. I tried the kway teow here. Small portions here but packed flavour. A little oily.
